  Vudeux stood on the far side of the feild where he had been teaching his sone Deja the fundmentals of flying. The colt was doing well in Vu's eyes and he was proud of him, if a bit stern. "Hold your wings strait, dont let the wind force them up or you'll fall." He watched his son with an apprasiing eye as he carefully flapped his wings a few feet above the ground. "Hold them strait, Straiter.... Good. " He coached as his son fell back to the earth, his wings aching from the exercise. "I'm getting better, soon I'll be able to sore in the sky like you!" Deja eclaimed happily. Vu gave his son a gruff responce, lacking the motivation a more experiance father probably would have given. "Not if you keep flying like that. We'll try again in a few minutes, give your wings a rest then we'll start again. You need to be stronger before you ride the thermals." Deja sighed and nodded his head, he wanted to fly high in the sky...but his wings did ache so he was happy for the small break. He turned his head and saw a small black and blue dot in the distance, along side a white and blue one. He knew it could only be his mother and brother. Taking off at a run he spirnted up to them, and was nearly out of breath when he arrived. "Hiiii."

Sgina forced a smile through her anger to greet her son Deja. "Hello Deja, I was just telling your brother that you can no longer see Gandpa Rahu, he isnt your real grandfather anyways." Sgina lifted her head to look at Vudeux, it was just so hard to understand her feelings. Specialy now, she was so upset with how Rahu had acted towards her.
He had been mean before but not like that in the end Rahu always said the right thing but this time that wasnt so.
"Mother that's ridiculas so what if he isnt our real grandpa?!Grandpa Unesdala is nice and all but he is no Rahu. I demand to be given a good reason why I cant see him anymore!!!" Victor shouted once more stompped another hoof.
Si and Am dodged Victor's hooves but stayed close to him.
It was the first time for them to be meeting Deja and Vudeux after all and they werent too sure how they would react. Sgina had been quickly offended by them and had attemped to stomp them first they had met.And they feared Vudeux or Deja might try the same.

Deja blinked at his mother. "What? Why, he's the only grandfather I know!" he exclaimed, why would their mother be taking away their only family. He pouted, visably upset by the news. He looked at his brother with a raised brow. "who is this grandpa unesdala? Ive never met him...... Mother why have you been keeping family from me?" He wanted to add, 'am I not good enough' or 'are you ashamed of me?' The colt let his gaze drop looking down at the ground and his hooves. His whole world was just crashing down.
Vudeux walked up to the gathering, his head held proudly as he cast an aprasing gaze on them all. "whats going on here?" he asked after a moments pause. He didnt say anything to Deja or Victor, his question was Addressed to Sgina. "The children seem upset." he said, this was a statment that he felt he should point out. "And... what are those?" he asked looking at the cats that seemed to circle around Victor's hooves.

Vuja listened quietly from some feet away. She had been patientlywatching her brother and Father at their lessons flying. Ever Stubborn, she had decided that she would just watch. One day, she would fly, but she would do it on her own. Until then she was firmly rooted to the ground and all the practicality the earth provided. Then again, she had never been a social sort,and so the admonishment of her mother while a bit surprising, didn't ruffle her feathers as much as it seemed to upset her brothers. She wandered over slowly, speaking softly, "Maybe you shouldn't forbid things like that, Mother. If someone told you that you were forbidden from doing something, don't you think that you would be more likely to do it?" The foal cocked her head to the side, staring at her mother with a mild look of bemusement.

Sgina sighed she should have taken a long walk before saying anything to her foals. "I forbid Rahu for two reasons, one is more personal and the other I fear for your safty. Rahu is not himself in the least and the way he is acting not Im not sure that even you as foals are safe from his odd temper." She frowned at Deja wanting to nuzzle him or something but her body wont seem to move. "Your brother Victor only just met some of the family the other day. I had been looking for him when he wandered near the home of my Mother, my mother found him and it went from there.I will take you and Vuja to meet all the family soon." Sgina then gave Vudeux a rather odd look.
"As I just said its not safe for the foals the see Rahu.And I've also sort of made up with my family." Sgina looked to Victor and sighed.
"Mainly,because its what Victor wanted. Those are lions unfortunatly his new friends." Sgina seemed to speak of the lions with a bad taste in her mouth.
Hearing Vuja's voice Sgina turned to look at her, but instead of glaring like she might normaly do she frowned lightly.
Sgina was pretty sure Vuja did not like her,but she couldnt blame her.
After all Sgina herself had not liked her mother at all.
"I wont forbid if their wasnt a good reason behind it,Vuja. Beleave me
I know what it feels like,but for my sake and your own I can only hope that you will listen to me. Im sorry Ive kept such secrets from you all it was wrong." With that Sgina just started to walk off things felt so messed up and she just wanted to be alone for abit.
Victor watched his father speak sometimes he wasnt sure rather to idolize his father or to hide from him. He then watched his mother and thought about what she said.
"I'll listen to you mother." He whispered as she started to walk away.
Victor fluttered his wings and looked at his sibblings not sure what to think.

Vuja snorted almost indignantly. Keeping secrets. Such secrets held little worry for the foal, as she kept her ears open for gossip. That was half of knowing things, taking time to listen, and so while she had not known her mother made up with her family, she had known there was a rift there. Oh well. It wasn't her business or particularly her concern. She watched her brothers for a moment, Victor seemed out of sorts, and she offered him a small smile, "Don't worry yourself over it Vic, when you grow up you can do as you please."
It was not that Vuja did not like her family, on the contrary, she loved them, but had no inkling of acceptable affection. She was perhaps closer to Deja than any of them, and feeling suddenly exposed from having spoken up, siddled over to her pale brother, tucking herself against him gently. She offered a slight n** at one of his ears, not nearly so hard as usual.

Vudeux raised an eyebrow at Sgina but said nothing, something was off with the mare. She was more shrill than normal it seemed and it made him wonder what sort of falling out she had had with the stallion. He snorted a bit and pawed at the ground. He didnt like the looks of those cats, they where slinky and sly, and if he wasnt mistaken he almost could feel an air around them, like oil, slippery and elusive. Those cats would be trouble, and he didnt want them around his son.
His nostrils flared a bit as he looked at the cats, his jaw was set firm, but still he remained silent. Finally with a gruff voice he said. "As you wish it." he said, and shruged his shoulders. She had put her hoof down about it, and it seemed the children where conseeding. Might as well let things lay as they might.
Deja winced a bit as his sister nibbled on his ear, though he was grateful it wasnt as hard as normal. He head butted her lightly and offered her a small smile.

Victor smiled at Vuja he knew that fact in his mind already but it was nice to hear it from his sister and to see her smile at him. Victor slowly turned his head towards Vudeux and flattened his ears his wings shivered a bit though even he wasn't sure why. It might have been for the moment he had forgotten the lions that were underneath him and thought that look to be towards himself. Victor didn't move but rather just stared at his father.
Si and Am stared at Vudeux from underneath Victor. They looked at each other then turned simply grinned at Vudeux. The two were indeed trouble and lived for nothing else, they liked stirring things up and Victor was a perfect target.

Vuja accepted the affection from Deja happily and then tettered off twards Victor, settling against him with a soft sigh of contentment. She was being strangely calm and lovable, now that a was weird!
She regarded the cats beneath her brother quietly for a moment, eyebrows raised, a wordless gesture seeming to say, "I'm watching you."

Vu continued to appraise the situation and finally shorted and lowered his head. His velvet ears pressed against his head. "Victor." He said, a sharp tone that finally cut the silence. "Walk with me." He said and turned around leading down the way where the two could be alone. He left no room for him to say no. His son would simply obey and follow him, If not.. well, he didnt even stop to consider that Victor may not follow him. Children where to do as their parents commanded and it was as simple as that.
Deja watched with wide eyes as their father called brother away. He flattened his white ears a bit, glad it wasnt him that was being called away, he didnt like fathers tone. He some how suspected that Victor was going to get an earfull... but then Da' was a misterious creature and it was hard to say what was going to happen.
He looked over as his sister whom was contently laying on him and moved to lightly n** at a strand of her pale hair.

Victor looked from Vuja to Deja before snorting at the cats beneath as a wordless way of saying stay behind. Lowering his neck Victor followed after his father though he didn't walk along side him, but rather just behind him. Victor kept quite not sure what was going on though he did take his eyes off the ground to stare at Vudeux.
Si and Am stayed behind and sat back to back staring at Vuja and Deja.
"Me thinks we in trouble." Si whispered.
"Yesh, me thinks so too." Am whispered back.

Vu moved away from the others and into the valley further. The slow sloops of the ground soon hid him from the others as he truely sought to have this talk with his son alone.
The strong stalion waited until his son approched before he began to speak. "You have been acting out lately Victor and that is something I am not going to tollerate. " He turned to look at his son, and his stone set gaze slowly stoftened. Victor unlike the others was a near spit image of himself, and he had come to realise that often he was harder on victor because of this. In victor he saw his own faults.
The Stallion sighed softly and shook his head, the chains around his neck chiming softly. "I know im hard on you victor...and your mother.. well.. " he bit his tongue to prevent any ill will, no matter what his feelings about Sgina he would not speak ill of her before her children. "I just wanted to say, That I know I have been hard on you, but it is because I want you to be strong. You're brother needs more looking after than you do, and you sister... well she's a girl."
"Do you know how easy it would be for me to walk away and pretend like none of this ever happened? But I wont do that, because I do love you reguardless of the circomstances. "

Victor let his body droop a bit as his father began to speak. His tail twitched a bit as his eyes held confusion and consideration to what his father said.
Victor could have never dreamed that his father saw himself in the little foal. All he ever saw was that Vudeux was a strong stallion everything Victor dreamed to be.
"I thought you just liked Deja more." Was Victor's simple reply.
Apologizing for acting out had not come to his mind yet. His ears went back at the last thing his father said.
"What do you mean walk away like it never happen?! Don't you love mommy too?.....You love me...?" The confusion about the first part of what his father said went away as the last part sank in. Victor looked to the ground and didn't say anything else, he wasn't sure what to say. Did he say it back it felt weird even though he knew he loved his father back.
