The "chou" in Chouji stands for butterfly while "-ji" is a common ending for boy's names.
And I think "Shino" means a type of squid or fish.

"Shino" means stem of bamboo, "Kabuto" can mean beetle, "Itachi" means weasle
as for Sasuke's last name is actually a pun Uchiwa = Fan uchihatasu = to slay; to kill
since Japanese doesn't have "H" and "W" characters the meld into one a place in between the two pronouciation. same goes with "B" and "V"; "G" and "J"; "R" and "L".. the list goes on. ~sigh~
oh and as for "maru" it is an add on to the end of boys names. "ko" is the girls version

Ino = pig, shika = deer, and cho = buttefly. Its also the combination in one japanese card-game that I seem to forgot *it gives you 5 pts I think*
Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru are based on ancient Japanese fable

I've also forgotten the game's name ^^;; Toad Snake Slug is like Rock Paper Scissors. The Toad beats the Slug, the Slug beats the Snake, and the Snake beats the Toad.
