Well, as well im bi myself .-__.-
And i have a bf, and i want to marrie him on maple, but they dont accept gay/same gendre couple, its pretty racistic... thats what i think.
Its up to Maple if they gona change that x___x
But i hope they can change that, its preatty annoying and disturbing xP

I think they should cahnge it because not
everyone likes the opposite gender
and it is kinda of unfair for people who like there
own gender.
So i think nexon should change the gender maraggies thingy(Not that im lez or bi or anything)
Just because it is unfair to other people .

yeahhh, i agree with u guys. not only that, it goes for straights too! there are some people that when choosing their character, will choose the opposite gender of themself in rl for the heck of it. Then when they want to marry someone they know in the game (that happens to be their character's same gender), they can't!
it's discrimination against everyone!!! *sigh* maybe in time, they'll change it.
OH i just thought of something scream
THERE SHOULD BE A PROTEST!
everyone should log onto maple, and in fm, organize a massive protest! then take an ss of it and post it on basilmarket - it'll be some serious news! and u never know.....it might work!

O_o I don't think there's a call for a protest.
Yeah, I sort of agree with there being same-sex marriage on MS. Don't start shrieking at me saying I'm against gay marriage--I'm not.
I'm just thinking about how much hate a gay married couple could get from many users in the game if the users actually took notice of the marriage status.
Anyway, it'd take a while to make the same-sex marriage option and wedding ceremony.
And, I don't quite see it as unfair to people right now, MS targets mostly pre-teens, yeah? Well, what if same-sex marriage isn't a topic parents want their children to encounter early on? Right now, I only see it as a bummer for those with same-sex characters that can't get married right now. Whether or not they are of the same gender offline.

I think they should change it because my char is a girl and my boyfriends char is a girl also. It's not fair that we can't get married in game.

Well. They're not COMPLETELY against gay LOVE. I mean in the CS a male can buy the animation "My Boyfriend" LOL. Maybe that's the closest you'll get? :'(

Has nothing to do with fairness or racism (gay is not a race of people).
I think it's perfectly fine, though any 'gay' marriages on maple would constitute as nothing more than a joke. (two friends of the same gender getting married for the hell of it).

Yes. It's incredibly homophobic of them, and I think it's stupid. I mean, god, "gay" & "homosexual" counts as swearwords on there.

*sigh*.. here we go again.
I don't think it's unfair. You may not be able to help who you are,
BUT, you *can* help what gender you are on MAPLE.
It has absolutely nothing to do with homophobia or restricting "rights" (of which you have none in someone else's domain. You join maple, you play by their rules, deal with it.)
The *only* thing I feel is unfair about weddings on maple is that
they're too damn expensive (20 bucks? What 14 year old has 20 bucks
to spend on an online game?... hmm.. don't answer that).

Maple Story probably filters 'gay' and 'homosexual' because people use them as negative terms. This action isn't homophobic, it's intended to restrict the use of foul language (swear words, derogatory terms, etc.).
I made a short post this time, how unusual.
