(This is a Private RP between Nevaeh and Toberu! Only post if you have permission from RAA-chan or Alch~)
Nevaeh swam rapidly through the river, taking great joy in attempting to swim against the current. Of course, given her attention span, which remained even after her attaining teendom, she got bored somewhat quickly after a fair while of fun, moving to swim towards the riverbed, stretching herself out on the sand and rocks with a happy burbling coming from her.
Today seemed a day to swim and play and hear the stories of the fish as they swam beside. She giggled loudly and rolled onto her belly, looking around the water slowly, just taking in the sight and looking for something more to do.

Not too far off, Toberu was tearing through the algae jungle. He notice as the days went on, that it was changing casually. As his tail fin and claws grew, the jungle began to shrink away, bearing less shadows and monsters.
After some time, he began to feel a bit lonely. He emerged from the algae, with some still clinging onto him, and began to search for Nev.

"Toby!" It was a happy cry and Nevaeh swam up quickly from the bottom of the river, grabbing him as she went by. She hugged him tightly and purred happily, bubbles rising to the surface. "Where've you been, eh, eh?"
She had missed her friend, and now she noticed they had both grown, both changed... but certainly not too much, she hoped.

Tobe rolled through the river with Nev, both clinging onto her and being clinged too.
"Nev-Nev!" he laughed, "I think, I think..."
He paused, his light blue eyes taking in his now older friend,
"...that someone's became a cute river-swimmer since I last seen her!"
He released Nev, and swam up to the surface, waving his tail flirtatiously back at her as he went.

Nevaeh laughed happily as they rolled, before she blinked several times at Tobe when he stopped, making an inquisitive chirping sound.
Soon enough, she was blushing brightly and making a startled squeaking sound, just before she gave chase with delighted laugher.
"And I think that you are a terrible tease!" she informed Tobe as she caught up easily.

Tob tried to hid his grin, but it stretched across his face anyways. He stretched out onto his belly, crossing his arms under his head, and floated near the surface. Though he stuck his tongue back at Nev, there was a slight hint of a serious matter on his mind.
"Nev-Nev, can you read human words?"

Nev giggled quietly and floated on the surface with Tobe, smiling warmly at him and resting her head on her arms, a warm light in her blue eyes. Then she looked up in surprise, fins twitching a bit.
"Human words? I can, a bit, yes. Why?"

"I think I found a human paper.." he said, as he noticed a stray piece of algae still clinging onto him. Gently tugging it off, he continued.
"It was in the Jungle, tangled in the greens. It looks like scribbles to me, so I was hoping you might know what it is.. do you want me to go back and get it?"

Nevaeh was certainly intrigued. She chirped once and swam a bit closer to Tobe, before smiling happily. "Let's go together! I can try to read it for you," she said brightly, wiggling her tail a bit.
She had a feeling this was the adventure she had been craving all day... and she wanted it quick.

Tobe nodded back at her and smiled at her excitement. The paper had frustrated him before, but Nev-Nev sparked some hope inside him. If she couldn't decipher the strange symbols, he was sure they would figure something out.
Taking her one of her front paws, he lead her down back to the algae.
"Just one second," he mumbled, trying to recall in his mind where he had left the paper. He let go of Nev's paw and navigated through the jungle.

Nevaeh held onto his paw in return as they swam back down to the jungle of the river, before purring happily as they swam on, moving her tail quickly and easily to keep up. "You remember now, yes, Tobe?" she asked, just to be sure.

"I know it's here somewhere!" he called back, as he fumbled on through. Eventually he found it tied in between the algae strips. He returned to Nev's side holding an aged paper rolled in his claws.
"How about it Nev?" he asked, gently handing it to her.

Nevaeh paused when she saw Tobe coming back to her, floating easily in the water as the paper was gently passed into her paws. Carefully, she curled up and settled on the bottom, holding the old paper between her hands and looking it over slowly to try and read it.
"Tobe, it says... it says to go where the light is brightest and dances with the fish. There'll be... something there. I dunno what. I don't know the word..."

"What do you think, Nev-Nev?"
Tobe asked, quietly contemplating the human words to himself. He had been all throughout the stream, but couldn't think of any area in particular that seemed to match the clue. However, something familiar danced on the tip of his tongue.
"Where the light breaks through the trees above... the water is still near the shore.. maybe there?"
His description was vague, but he hope Nev might get the gist of what he was saying.

Nevaeh looked thoughtful for several moments, blinking slowly as she looked over the paper. Then she mewled and chirped, gaze lifting to Tobe as she blinked several times.
"Oh... Oh! That might be it!" she squeaked happily, moving to hug him, still being careful with the human-worded paper. "Let's go, Tobe, let's go!"
