This guild has many dedicated members. A cause and a good one at that. But does it have a message, a reason? What I mean is does it have plans for the world? Does it want to change anything?

Well, if you had taken a little look around, you might have seen that we had (at one point) a thread in which we were discussing making some sort of universal sign or symbol for magick/psi users to identify others with. But that kind of died out. It's a good idea, just not very practical. It may be picked up again later. Other than that, there isn't really a whole lot of plan to make. If we can teach others as much as possible, share knowledge, and kind of band together, we may be able to better the world at least a little bit. But other than that, what kind of plan were you expecting? Would you like us to wage magickal warfare against that troupe of evil wood elves in Colorodo, or those damn demons who keep causing earthquakes in Eastern Asia? We could use our psi powers to take down President Bush, or use mind control to make him stop the war. Yes, we have a purpose. Our purpose is discussion and teaching. Do we have a plan? Yes, to discuss and teach. Are we out to be the saviors of the world? No. That is not only unrealistic, but quite egotistical. Sorry, we're not all out to save the world.

I don't anticipate any powers, prophesies, or any sort of shortcuts to make that change.

In my opinion, our ultimate goals are..
Guild:I think our purpose is to figure out what to do, to make a plan, to make a change, in the thing we're all still figuring out.
Personal: Learn and over-simplify life by forming it into a complicated science.
All around:EVERY ONE SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN JUST HELPING ONE ANOTHER. Sam:If every ONE person helped another ONE person, then there would be no one on earth who needed help.
Really, all in all... How the living hell do we make a plan on a purpose when every single psychic person out there, or cult people, or groups of people, all have different points of views on magic/psi, and nobody beleives the same thing... We need proof on atleast one thing for all those roads of spirituality and religion to lead to. Knowing those love-able philosophies it's most likely right infront of us, but... behind us! (my mind works in a philosophical way, and I love philosophy, but then I love hating it, for hating to love it. ((you can probably see how I piss off a lot of people with just talking to them.)))

Joshua_Ritter That could be. You see, I am out to save the world. But, being quite ordinary, I will only be able to change a bit. So, there need to be a lot of people like me to make that change into a powerful force. I don't anticipate any powers, prophesies, or any sort of shortcuts to make that change. I think that any day now Stormbringer, the Black Sword of Chaos Lord Arioch, will fall into my hands via UPS, and that I shall use its power to rule over all men in benevolence and slight, blood thirsty insanity until the end of my days, whereupon I will raise myself through arcane, profane rites into a glorious, beautiful, immortal Lich-king, and rule the worlds of man forevermore... In response to the general theme and tone of this thread, I don't think, as an electronic guild on the intarwebnet, we should set our goals too high...we should focus on the strength of the media we're using, and that is fast communication. If you really want to change things, this must become more than simply a guild on Gaia, and must become a movement outside of electronic space. Give it time. I don't know how old you are, but judging by the average age of Gaians, dramatics are almost requisite of anything. Doomsayers, be they physical or spiritual, are a dime a dozen, and are usually wrong. So long as you want to live, you will live. I highly recommend it, as it is fun.

(okay that takes a lot of imagination sweatdrop ) We are just about to have the last person sign the bill, when... a bullet ant bites him in the hand, he dies of an allergic reaction, The UN is blamed and every nation willing to participate wages war against one another. Humanity dies. The End.(a little far out there, but the point remains valid!) Josh means he'll do what he can to make the world better... and the best hope is to make other people do what they can to make the world better, and most likely not in our life times, but he hopes to make it so, generations pass and the world is a better place. Once I save up enough money to hold a website, and learn more website coding, and get better programs, I plan on making a permanent MPRILC Website. So that it won't be JUST a guild run on gaia by teenagers... but... A site on the world wide web! (run by teenagers)very, very, very, very, very slow process though... and chances are it fails. but, the people who win the lotto's chances are they just wasted a hundred dollars buying a bucket of lottery tickets, but they end up winning after a few decades of wasting paychecks away sweatdrop

But Lobo's got the general idea. I'm out to change the world. I don't have much for me, so I do the only thing I can: Little things. A single kindness to a friend or to a stranger may be the tipping point in a life, a dozen, or a thousand lives. How can I be sure? All I can do is as much as I can.

To me, that'd be like asking for the cure to world hunger, or for Sadaam to be alive again. No, I want everyone to realize how ******** retarded they all are. I know it's not going to happen, but I can try. Although my processes are doing almost nothing but make people hate me, that's the second-best outcome I can think of. If they can't realize they're retarded, at least they can hate me for calling them retarded. They're halfway there. Oh, and another thing. Making people happy is changing the world. Do you think people are happy now? I hope not. So wouldn't making them happy be changing their mood and influencing their actions?

You telling other people they are, or having them realise it, doesn't do ANYONE any good. It just makes people angry, it puts them in denial and depression. And what we need is not that, but to make people realise that human stupidity is not what we're best at, and if we want people to stop being stupid then we must lead by example. When I make people happy, I'm not reaching the whole world at once. However much I'd like to. xd

When I make people happy, I'm not reaching the whole world at once. However much I'd like to. xd Don't worry, I include myself in that category. I'm not any less retarded than anyone else. In fact, I'm probably more retarded then most. But I'm aware of that fact. And that's what makes people hate me. Well, that, and the fact that I make them feel like they're retarded. The truth is, I'd rather people hate me than like me. I'd rather be alone than deal with other people. True, there are a select few whose company I enjoy, but I could live without people. And probably live happily, in light of recent events. So, in reality, it does me good. And it dosen't hurt anyone, considering they all ignore me and pretend I exist only to ridicule. And that's fine by me. There's no denial and depression. Well, there's denial, of course, but it's not destructive. I doubt anyone goes home and kills themselves because of a sarcastic comment I madeor blip of laughter I allowed to escape. In fact, I know they don't. To date, I know no one who has committed suicide. Everyone at my school is extremely wealthy (with the exception of pretty much just me), so they're all depressed anyway. They cover it well, but not well enough. Damn, I'm rambling again. To quote a legendary comedian, "you can't fix stupid."
