Spewed forth from comments in the Tarzan discussion...What is your favorite Disney death?

I, personally, am fond of Clayton's demise in Tarzan. A new take on the classic villain death-by-falling, and with beautiful cinematography, a bolt of lightning revealing his silhouetted shadow....

I second the Ursula and add Maleficent to that. There's just something about a gruesome transformation into a gigantic monster, followed by being stabbed in the gut... makes for a nice, powerful death scene. None of this flimsy "falling off of something tall" business.

I agree that Clayton's death was well done - disturbing but well done. Tarzan suddenly trying to stop him and then that lightening revealed shadow *shudder*

Saddest death was Mufasa's. It was so touching and heartbreaking. So well done.

I agree, Clayton's death was done magnificantly, it really stayed in your mind after that, at least to me it did wink

Mufasa's death was beautiful, sobbed my little baby heart out blaugh and still do, so tragic, poor Simba crying

Ursula's death used to really frighten me when I was small.

Maleficant's death was brilliant
"Oh sword of truth, fly swift and sure, may evil die and good endure"
On flung the sword! *flies!* her scream fitted well into the moment and espcially wen she falls and the sword turns black and the music goes "DUN"

really powerful, marvous llalala biggrin 3nodding whee xd wink heart
