Thats right people, screen dump your desktop, into here, i like looking at what people have on their computer, and what there backgrounds are... Whenever you have a new desktop and feel like showing it off, do it here (just to keep this thread going) I'll Start with my desktop, observe http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/StreekG/mydesktop.jpgEdited by Trjn: Page stretchiness bad.Edited by StreekG: thats why you have 1024x786 (whatever it is) resolution, get 17" you fools!! I even resized it to 800x600 so my page wouldn't get stretched, which it didn't blaugh blaugh blaugh Edited by Trjn: I'm not a monkey, and 17" iBooks are expensive, I'll stick to my good old 12" model thank you very much, although physical screen size doesn't make a difference, more the fact that not everyone uses full screen browsers.

And it need be no bigger than that. Simplicity is my fettish, and if this wasn't a shared computer, I'd have even less on the desktop.

Mine alternates every minute between different colours of the same base image.
Heres the Aqua on Black version (theres also Red on White, which is the inverse, Red on Black and Aqua on White). Oh, and the Scissors icon thing in the dock is the program used to take screenshots, don't ask, just remember tis not usually there.

The Dock (most likely thing), tis a Mac invention, but of course, there is a Windows equivalent running around somewhere that you can get, doesn't work as well as the Mac version, but apparently, its not too bad.
Rotating background, millions of programs to do that, tis just a basic setting on Macs though.
The actual wallpaper(s), bug me on MSN/AIM (trjnrabbit@hotmail.com or TrjnRabbit) and I'll send them.

I'm afraid I only use the standard Windows 98 internet desktop, cluttered with about 20 program icons. Nothing fancy there. I'm too lazy to get a custom one.

They're just small enough to be uploaded to photobucket. One moment please.

The white background ones kinda suck, I only use them because going from a black one to a white one looks shibby.

Awwww, but they're so small, WellzY has a large screen resolution, can you remember where you got these from?
And does that programme you use just change the images as a refresh sort of thing, or does each fade one into the other?

And its part of Mac OS X, I'm afraid, so I cant give you an equivalent.
and yes they are small, I think the original was a 800x600 or something, I could never find a bigger one, and of course the rest are all personally modified. I was going to remake it at one stage in a larger resolution, but I got bored.

That sounds cool, but yeah I figured it was a Mac only thing, so no worries there, just sounds far more interresting than a normal desktop. 3nodding Well if you ever re-size them to a larger resolution, let me know.

I probably wont end up doing it, but I know a guy who might be able to get the larger res version of the original, and photoshopping to get the different colours takes all of ten minutes once you start messing about in photoshop.

Without seeing the dock you are speaking of I imagine the windows version is ObjectDock Plus, it's cool but has absolutely no use nor makes anything easier, pretty much just the same as pinning your most used programs to the main start menu :3

Teikou Without seeing the dock you are speaking of I imagine the windows version is ObjectDock Plus, it's cool but has absolutely no use nor makes anything easier, pretty much just the same as pinning your most used programs to the main start menu :3 Probably. The Dock I speak of is in my screenshot, the line of icons on the bottom of my screen on top of a transparent white rectangle = dock.
Because Mac users don't have the start menu or quick launch, so we have the dock, a combination of the pair, which is also very useful when combined with spotlight to bring up pretty much anything you need.
