The Penguin Overlord

PostPosted: Sat Dec 23, 2006 10:45 pm

So has anyone read it? I can't remember the author and I only remember the first book which is Acension. They are a really new take on Atlantis and Mermaids which they call mermyds. It's really interesting I'll look up the author because I realize this post has been wholely unhelpful. Sorry It's a little late.

Gods, but the color of that post hurts!

And, no, I haven't read it. How would you rate it?

Well I suck at rating things and no one agrees with me but I would give it an 8. I could finish the series in a day easy and they're very young but I like the story.

Yeah, I've read them....mainly because I read two of Kara Dalkey's other books: Little Sister and The Hevanward Path. I liked them well enough, it had a neat little plot twist in there at the end....But they are quite short.

I liked this series more than her other two books and I still quote it some times. "We do brush the fish"

xd Yeah, thats an awesome quote! But I still like at least Little Sister better than the water trilogy...The Heavenward Path wasn't as good...but I really liked little sister.

Its been awhile since I last read them....If I can find a rewiew or somthing I'll try to post it here, but I don't think I'd do a very good job of describing them myself.

User ImageI only wish....

They are very short. I've read Little Sister and The Heavenward path as well but I forgot that they were by Dalkey.

It's a little difficult to describe it without giving anything away but basically its a slightly new take on Atlantis and Mermyds. It moves to land and the story developes more. It's really short but the plot twist is really cool. User Image

I read the Nightingale and the Blood of the Goddess books - but I never got around to reading Water - I might read it if I find the time
