Lian entered the arena, dresed in very dark colors consisting of mostly reds and whites. She stood in the middle of the large area, looking about for the opponent. No one was there at the moment. She took to the far side of the area, sitting down and stretching out, her last matching being fairly quick and she used very little muscle.
Her long white hair was tied back into a sloppy bun, her eyes protected by a pair of shades along with her hands by gloves. At her hips where gun holsters and a belt for a long blade, a Rapier. Lian began stretching out her arms and back looking at the enterance for the opponent.

Kar entered just as he had in previous rounds... arriving from nowhere, as if he had suddenly stepped out from behind a curtain that didn't seem to exist. He was just a shade under eight feet tall, with dark skin and black scars across his arms, face, and neck. Every other part of the man was covered, either by the black tunic and regal red cape he wore, or the darksteel chestplate, leggings, and greaves. There was clearly a reason why he did not wear armor on his arms: at various points down the outside of his arms bone spikes jutted through the skin, including sets on the backs of his wrists that seemed to form a set of claws behind his hands.
"Good morning!" the demon lord bellowed as he hoisted the six-foot cleaver-like blade Blackfang onto his shoulder with his left hand.

Lian blinked from up on the ground, tilting her head at the man that had mysteriously entered the area. She stood up from stretching and walking up to him, being only 5-foot 7-inches tall from the man. She craned her neck up to look at him. Standing on her toes, her glasses pushed up her nose, she looked rather funny. Almost like an elf but with features that were more like a demon.
"Top o' the mornin' to ya!" She said in a very perky scottish accent. "My your a big fellow, what be your name?"
This man was tall, broad as well looked like he'd probably be out of breath running 2k.

K-THNK!
The end of the massive weapon he had hefted was driven into the ground so that it was left standing freely when he took his hand away, and the large demon man promptly dropped down onto one knee to accommodate for the height difference. Even then, though, he was a little above her.
"Hello there, I am called Kar. And I suppose you are Lian? How are you feeling today, Lian?"
He certainly looked the equivalent of any cruel monster-man that might be running around Gaia, recklessly slaughtering villages full of en-pee-sees and racking up self-proclaimed ten-billion-dollar bounties before going to skulk in the rafters of a bar and 'hit on chixxorz'... which can only be assumed to be a variety of cockatraice hunting or something. Kar looked to be this type of person, but with the way he was acting he might as well have been a kindly old grandfather.

Lian looked at him, her shades slipping down her nose. She tilted her head in a rather friendly way. She grinned and extended a small friendly hand towards the giant.
"Nice to meet you. Aye, I'm Lian." She said excitedly, rubbing the back of her head. "Oh, I'm alright. Just a little pepped up for the moment."
There was a small whoosh noise as her excited legs ran around for a bit and hopped onto his shoulder almost like a cricket on ten pounds of sugar. Her glasses had been pushed back against her face and her grin was still as vibrant, fangs showing very broadly.
"So, what do you be? Bein' such a big fellow and all?" She asked excitedly as she had before.

Kar reached out with his own huge paw of a hand and completely enveloped hers in it; shaking her hand by putting the pad of his thumb onto the back of her hand and simply going about it that way.
"I'm glad that you're excited, Lian. It's best to be cheerful all the time."
He didn't react to her hopping up on his shoulder other than tipping his head a bit so that she'd have more room to sit.
"I'm just an old man wanting to see how the young ones are doing things these days. I've been around for a long time, and sometimes children are the best way to rekindle a thirst for adventure."

Lian hopped off his shoulder, landing on the ground in a crouch then hopping up and spinning around to look at him.
"Eh, I know how you feel. My youngest kids are always in a heap of trouble regardless how many times I tell them to stay near the house" She said very excitedly and ended it with a sigh.
Lian fell backwards on her bottom and began stretching out her legs and back once more, leaning foreward and grabbing her feet then releasing them. She put her hands behind her arching into a bridge and flipping over again. Her back popped in satisfaction and she stood relaxed.
"Alrighty then. Well, since your here, I'm guessing your my opponent for this round." She said, looking up at him, her shades hiding the mischievious glint that a woman would have when she was planning out something clever.

"Yes, it seems so, little one."
He helped her off of his shoulder if she needed it at all, then stood, dusted off his knees, and bowed as far as he could in an attempt to get his head down to an appropriate level.
"I wish you luck, Lian."

Lian nodded, rolling her sleeves and adjusting her shades. She bowed just the same, stepping back a good distance.
"Good luck to you as well. May the best person win. Man or woman."Lian said with a smile, turning and getting into a fighting stance. She had a sword on her side, but she wouldn't use it on him, big sword and all, the small one wouldn't be able to handle heavy stress.

Kar took a few steps backwards, giving the girl room enough. He was a few feet away from where he had plunged his weapon into the earth, and made no movement to draw it from the ground again.
He stepped into a rather wide stance, bending his legs to nearly crouch... sometimes height was a disadvantage as well. By equalizing the stature, he maintained the advantage of reach without having to suffer halflings scurrying between his toes.
"Whenever you are ready, madam."

Lian nodded letting out a slow and deep breath. Her stance narrowed a bit, before like a cricket she leapt up and slammed her palms together, landing close to his feet and putting them to the ground. A glow emitted from the ground itself as spikes shot up, in a wide range of lengths to strike him at the stomach.

When Lian hopped in Kar's first action was to bring a heavy hit down from overhead, intending to hit her. Considering he had spines and claws jutting from the back of his arm, the results would likely be very similar to that range of spikes.
If Lian moved to dodge, the punch would likely break off the spikes at the base before they got very far.
(( Wow... I need to not do that anymore. After that first bit I just can't get into the smashing anymore. crying ))

As the spikes emerged from the ground Lian moved away and hopped back into a fighting stance. She watched as the spikes were demolished before moving in swiftly to attack at his head while it was down from the punch. Leaping and speedily flying towards it, whirled around for a round house, delivering it to the back of his neck to the medulla Oblongata. The spot, if hit hard enough would strike at his center point that controlled both movement including speech and physically immobalizing him. If it didn't hit, it would mearly just scrape by the back of his head to leave a twinge of pain.

The spikes chipped away, breaking into shards as Kar's fist slammed into the ground where they originated. Sharp bits were still nothing to laugh at, however, and driving his fist into and through them had left a number of cuts and lacerations upon his knuckles.
However, Lian leaping in would present an easy target. An object set into motion stays in motion... or at least it should, if it isn't acted upon by some sort of supernatural flight. Lian's leg strike would lash out, but her target would move. Kar shoved off of the ground with his embedded fist, driving his left shoulder up in the direction Lian was coming from... but this was not the attack that would come - Kar had a number of bone spikes jutting out of his body, from the shoulders, along the spine, and down his arms. He also had set of horns of the same hard, bone structure that curled over the sides of his head like a ram.
It was with a sudden snap of his head to the side that Kar retaliated; bringing his brow about to broadside the small woman mid-flight. Her kick would strike at the top of his shoulder instead due to his adjustment.
