Introduction
Welcome to the Tales of Symphonia Guild Guide. If you're here, it means that you've actually bothered to read the front page, are unfamiliar to the guild or have too much spare time. In case of the last choice, I seriously advise you to take up a hobby. Like roaming guilds on Gaia. Or join us.
Anyways, this is the Tales of Symphonia Guild Guide. If you can't understand what this is for, you seriously need to get your head examined. If you do understand, be proud. You've proved yourself capable of something all literate people are of. This thread will guide you along this guild, and will possibly answer some of your questions. So read this before doing anything else. Or you just might find yourself... banned.
Because I don't want to create something long, I'll try to keep everything [except the rules, cause I want to torment you all] as short as I can. So, without further ado, get started on reading!

Rules
You should know what rules are. You deal with them in everyday life. It's like when your mother says "No more games until you've finished your homework." or "Eat your vegetables or I'll hide the remote control." Although the rules of the Tales of Symphonia Guild are not as cruel [I mean, hiding the remote control! How could she?], they still deserve respect.
Rules are generally divided between two types. Normal rules and Insta-Ban rules. Three violations of normal rules will get you banned for one week. After that week, you will be given the chance to rejoin. Violate them again, and this time you're gone forever. One violation of an Insta-Ban rule will get you banned with no chance for redemption. Not even if you save my life from a homicidal devil rabbit. Although it would be much appreciated.
Normal rules are not marked, while Insta-Ban rules will be marked with a bold asterisk next to them.
Posting Rules
1. Rule of Street Respect Be polite at all times to your fellow guild member. Tension is not good. It's okay to fool around at times, but make sure you don't piss them off.
2. Rule of Monstrous Oaths Please. Keep the amount of swearing to a minimum. Sure, you can swear every now and then, but it's not good to abuse it. Minor swearing won't count as an offense, but a major swear-fest will.
3. Rule of Dieting Posts Do not, for the love of God, stretch pages with posts. If you have a picture, just post the URL. As for text... no one wants to see a straight line of exclamation marks. It's just not right.
4. Rule of Passionate Embrace * Do not attempt to "cyber" in the guild. We have minors, for heaven's sake. If you must, take it to Private Messages. That way, you'll get caught by moderators and banned. Minor romance, such as kissing and hugging, are fine. This counts for roleplays, too.
5. Rule of "OH GOD MY EYES!" * Absolutely NO pornographic material is to be posted. This is the WORST POSSIBLE violation, in my opinion. Do this, and not only will you be banned, you'll also be reported to Gaia Online moderators. And if you even THINK of returning, I'll make your life hell. I mean it.
6. Rule of Stalker Rights * Stalkers have no rights. If we get reports of someone in the guild constantly stalking and harassing someone, that person leaves.
7. Rule of Constant Insignificance Do not spam. Unless it's in the Chatterbox or Randomness thread. And those still have their limits. Don't bump, there's no use of doing so. Don't just simply post an emoticon unless it's as a reply to another post.
8. Rule of Blindfolded Text If you're putting up a spoiler for anything at all [even for other games] in a thread that has not been marked with a spoiler warning, then white text it. No one wants to have a good story ruined by some idiot with no decency.[color=white]Simply use this code to white-out your text.[/color] 9. Rule of Complete Denial If you didn't know that something was a rule, then you haven't read this post. In that case, we deem you official idiot of the guild. And throw rotten vegetables at you.
10. Rule of Post Fanatics The Tales of Symphonia Guild does not require you to make 100 posts a day or something. Still, we would appreciated it if you had the decency to post at least 5 times or so within a month. If you haven't posted 5 times by the end of a month, then you will be promptly banned for a week before being allowed in once more. So post, damn you!
11. Rule of Constant Imitation Please do not quote extremely long posts. Leave the quoting to a maximum of 3 quotes. Constant quoting only makes the page extremely longer and annoys people. Also, don't quote the first posts of a thread. Or, if you're going to do so, only quote the specific part that you wish to discuss about.
Thread Rules
1. Rule of Thread Cloning If you're going to make a thread, make sure it hasn't been covered already. There's no use in making a repeat thread. CHECK to see if your question has already been asked, and if it hasn't try the threads in subforums. THEN create a thread if you still haven't found one. Remember, though, that most general topics unrelated to the game itself should go in the Off-Topic Chatterbox.
2. Rule of Misplaced Marbles Create a thread in the subforum in which it is supposed to belong in. If you want to talk about things other than ToS, take it to the Off-Topic Chatterbox. If you want to roleplay, try the Roleplay subforum. Do check the fifth post for a guide on which subforum your tentative thread may belong in.
3. Rule of Specialized Disclaimers If you're discussing a topic that involves the story, then mark it with a SPOILER sign of sorts on the title so that people who have yet to finish the game don't come upon it. It's basic courtesy.
Misc. Rules
1. Rule of Literacy Confirmation In order to join the guild add the phrase "Dwarven Vow #7: Justice and Love will always win" in the request. This is to make sure that you've read all the rules in this thread.

FAQs [Frequently Asked Questions]
Okay, I'll admit this. The questions I listed aren't actually "frequently" asked. Because most people don't bother to ask. However, if you have a question regarding the guild, check here first. You just might find an answer.
1. How do I join this guild? In order to join, you should press the "Request to Join" button on the top right corner, just below the guild min-banner. You then fill out the application form and send it in. Within a few days, a moderator shall have seen your request, and if your application is approved, you are welcomed to the guild!
2. My thread disappeared! What happened? If you can't find your thread, it means that it has been deleted or either moved to a subforum. Check the subforums to see if your thread is there. Especially the Recycle Bin, since a mod will usually state their reason upon locking a thread.
3. Why was my thread deleted / locked? Most likely, your thread has violated one of the rules of this guild, and has been deleted or locked as a result.
4. I was banned from the guild. What happened? There are two ways to be banned from the guild. One is through the three-strikes method, the other is through the Insta-Ban method. The three-strikes method basically has a strike added to your record whenever you break a normal rule. Three strikes and you're out for a week, with a chance to rejoin after. Three strikes after that, and you're gone forever. The Insta-Ban method has you banned forever with no chance of coming back, regardless of your method. See the Rules section for more details.
5. How do I become a moderator? If you have been in the Tales of Symphonia Guild long enough and are deemed worthy, you have a chance of becoming a moderator. Of course, that doesn't mean anyone whose been here for a long time can become one. New moderators will only be recruited when we feel that there aren't enough to keep the guild under control. So don't get your hopes up too high.
6. How do I leave this guild? If you are a member of this guild, then the "Quit Guild" button should have replaced the "Request to Join" button. Simply click on that and do whatever it tells you to do.
7. What are the subforums? Subforums are basically, smaller forums. They help keep the guild organized by topic. You may refer to the fifth post for concise details on what purpose each one serves.

Mods
Here, I introduce to you the moderators of the Tales of Symphonia Guild. We're here to help you, so if you have a question, just ask! Below are the moderators [the active ones, anyways] and some information on them!
Azura Cantarella [Captain] Recently ascended to the rank of Captain. Azura is a self-proclaimed borderline schizophrenic. If you watch carefully, you might catch her other selves (yeah...they pressed her to get accounts...) roaming about the Random Nonsense Thread. She also often cavorts the Roleplaying Forum. Azura also happens to be a rabid devoted Kratos fangirl, even having an alternate account who resembles Kratos right down to the name and outfits. Not to mention, she is also his self-proclaimed yandere pet. Mostly docile, it takes a lot to piss her off, which means she's either graciously tolerant and open-minded or just dense and oblivious. In addition to that, she is pretty much here everyday, so you can be sure she'll catch your questions concerning the forum.
Fedora Warrior [Vice Captain] Yes, it's a weird name. Get over it, he likes things weird. Fedora Warrior (His real name is Vance and would prefer you call him that) is currently the newest addition to the guild crew. He's often found in the RP subforums (specifically the freeform and the guild lounge) but sometimes wanders over to the off topic chatterbox or the word games. If you have any questions about the guild, a tales game, or life in general. Please do not hesitate to ask him. ^_^
Natoe Bashin [Crew] No longer remembers what his name means. You can call him Natoe or even use his real name, Thomas. Mostly found around the RP subform, though he can be found in the word games or off-topic chatterbox. He'll do his best to help you out if you ask. :3 He will also hold the rules to the best of his abilities so make sure to do the same.
Krazy-Chibi [Crew] Not only is she a Symphonia fan, but also an all-around Tales fan with her fair share of knowledge in the series. Zelos happens to be her favorite character, and it appears she's the guild's sole resident zombie. She also does art and is an avid gamer and anime fan.
Raine Sage [Crew] Raine Sage was the one and only captain of the Tales of Symphonia Guild, but has recently passed the title to Azura Cantarella. She is the creator of the infamous Sagecorn. As you might have guessed by her account name and her avatar, she's a fan of Raine. Her real life prevents her from coming on to the guild often, but she is there for us all, so rest assured.
Shmooki [Crew] We call him Tsuki, Shmooki or a variety of other names. Tsuki has been with the guild since it was created, and is responsible enough to assume the position of guild vice captain. Tsuki is pretty much easy-going, but he doesn't tolerate stupidity and spam, so don't mess around with him. Unless you're Kitsu.
Liliana Lindseer [Crew] The current keeper of funds and prizes for future guild contests. She'll accept donations of any kind, be it cheap Daily Chance junk or pure gold. She has also taken up the role of Guild Disciplinarian, so if you violated a rule, she will most likely be the one to approach you and bring it to light. She once went by the simple title of "ToS Guild Treasurer" but took up her current name suggested by the member Arkelle after the Name the Guild Mule Contest of June 2009.

Subforums
All right, all right. I am aware each subforum has its own sticky explaining what its purpose is, but I still feel this is needed not only for a little more convenience, but because I still see some misplaced marbles around from time to time. Here is a rundown from top to bottom on the list.
The Main Forum - The forum you are currently in. Needless to say, it's for all kinds of talk on Tales of Symphonia and its sequel (or as some of you prefer to call it, spinoff) Dawn of the New World. From game help to favorite characters to plot, all of that can be discussed here!
Roleplaying Forum - Exactly what it says on the tin. But aside from Symphonia RPs, you may set one in other Tales universes (or even your own!) if you wish. You may also set any from other fandoms, or crossovers, or your own universes---you name it! Discussion and planning of RPs is also allowed in there.
Seraphim Lounge - No tachi. Crew only. It's where we mods are relaxing and plotting your demise discussing plans for the future such as contests.
Word Games - A place filled with forum games that'll sure jog your memory on the videogames. Also a place to raise your post count if you can't quite find a discussion to jump into out in the Main Forum.
Recycle Bin - This is where long dead discussions go. Absolutely no posting goes on there, and any that does will be counted as spam. Not that they can be no longer discussed---they've been locked to prevent confusion since timestamps on threads are often overlooked. If you wish to start a new thread based on the topics you see there, you may do so---provided it isn't a repeat thread in the Main Forum.
Memorable Threads - This is where old important stickies, finished RPs, and just plain old discussions that were great go. Absolutely no posting goes on there either.
Off-Topic Chatterbox - Where all your chatter that doesn't fit in the other subforums go. More precisely, anything that's NOT about Tales of Symphonia, the Tales series, an RP, or fan-work. The home of the Random Nonsense Thread, where all the crazies are.
Fan Creativity - A place for all your fan-work, be it art, fiction, videos, and et cetera.
General "Tales of..." Series Discussion - The place to discuss the rest of the Tales series. Also a Phantasia fan? Vesperia? Abyss? Then hop right over there and profess your fandom!
Past Contests - This is where the results of old contests can be viewed. Absolutely no posting goes on there either.
zOMG! Clan - Not exactly part of the guild itself, the zOMG! Clan exists to take advantage of the features implemented within Gaia's MMO. This includes chatting across different servers and finding each other on maps without having to clutter up your friendlist. It's also a place to discuss zOMG!-related matters such as Ring sets and organizing crews for farming/boss runs.
The Advertisement Thread - A place for chatter outside of the guild, to bump and potentially draw in some new life in here.
