What goes on in the day to day running of the GIB complex. What aliens pass through, what technology goes wrong, what relationships happen?
This is an informal RP for when you just want to mess around, using the GIB complex as a setting; mainly the cafeteria/break room.

Draco sat at a table, a mixture of aliens and agents around him, flicking cards around the table.
"Beldar, you in this round or not? Gary? Rachel? Who else? Ok, thats everyone."
He deals carefully, watching the Xorn Beldar's hovering eyes carefully. He could have sworn one of them was behind him last round, Beldar was playing so well. He was fresh off a transporter, and only just learnt poker. Or it could just be beginners luck...

Agent pens sits near the poker game, not far away. A pad of paper lies in front of her, which she is scribbling on madly. "Poker..." she mumbles, "cards... hmm... silicon cards? Thats it, we need something that shoots them!"

Agent SK44 sits near pens and says, "Do you think we should tell him that alien is telepathic?" He smiles and watches as the alien wins another hand.

"Naw..." Pens says, her hand moving as if it had a mind of it's own, "It'll be more interesting if he figures it out on his own."

"Whatever. I need to try a new card counting method I came up with." SK44 walks over and says, " I am in next hand, okay?"

Kat had walked into the break room only to see the same group of people playing poker, again. She sighs shaking her head, she hated gambleing, why do they like it so much? She walks pass them to get to the coffee maker and pours herself a cup while adding plently of surgar and cream. She then sits down at an emity couch, watching the game while she drinks her coffee.

Mandy, otherwise known as Agent MD, walked into the break room/cafeteria, yawning and stretching at the same time. She was thankful for a break and went to see what everyone else was up to.

As she walked in, she saw the group of agents sitting around the table playing poker. She walked up to the table to watch them play, especially watching Beldar.

"I can't believe you're already teaching gambling to him. Sometimes I think you need better things to do with your lives," Mandy said, then giggled to herself. It's at that point that they knew she was joking.

SK44 walked away from the table with a thoughtful look on his face. I miscalculated the rate of shuffling. The game had not gone well for him. "Hi MD," he said, "taking a break from work?"

MD turned to him and smiled.

"Absolutely, I don't think I could have spent another hour in my office processing paperwork. It's good to finally get a break. What about you, what are you up to?"

"Me? I am working on a card counting method for poker while waiting for R&D to finish working on my neuralizer." SK44 smiled and continued, "At least one of those projects could be going better."

Zero popped his head into the room to see a few agents and aliens playing poker and just generally relaxing as much as possible. He looked at the back counter noting which machines were there and sighed. "Coffee, coffee, coffee. I can never get a good cup of tea in here." He walked inside and looked over the players hands as they played. Poker was never a game he liked. Lady luck just seemed to spit at him when he played.

His quarters were a mess, an unbridled jungle of crumpled magazines and dirty clothes. Spaces and cracks where bits of floor peeked out rarely, this space was a sty. Our hero, still napping, was dreaming of paradise and paradigm, a beautiful contradiction with some beatiful visual alliteration.

With a groan, he arose from his visions, a pounding hangover gnawing at his brain. "It was better when I was asleep..." He spoke aloud to himself, as if onlookers were awaiting an update on the status of last night's drinking binge. Still groaning and shuddering, his laxadaisacal eyes fell on the flashing clock, the eyes reading 2:18 PM. He had somehow arisen early on in his day, a sleep cycle he had become accustomed to along with the possums.

With a groan at every step, he tossed on a clean suit. It would be a lazy day today, just like every day.

MD laughed a little at what SK44 said. Sometimes, things just couldn't go right for members of the GiB. It was a good thing that today was a relaxed day, though. Having too much work on her plate was just not something she enjoyed.

SK44 noticed Zero come in and walked over to him. "I heard you only like tea," he said as he took a bottle out of his bag and offered to Zero. "Is green tea okay? It is my drink of choice."

"Eh, sure...I was looking for something to ice and I've been drinking coffee for way too long. I though I'd go back to tea. Caffeine trips are crazy." Zero took the bottle from SK44 and leaned against the wall next to him. He took a swig and let the tea's flavor sit and shrugged. "Meh...not bad." He handed to bottle to SK44 and said unenergetically, "Here, thanks." These relaxed days got to him, he was used to being outside of the headquarters getting info. Being stuck inside wasn't very good for his sense of sanity. It wasn't like there was one in the first place, but the purpose was the same.
