*~Well whoever has the highest relationship with you knock on the door there are 4 people if you don't pick one you'll be talking with the last person who knocked on the door , so if you want to have a certain person make their relationship with you the highest of them all example , You want Raine on the umm..... Z button scenes with Raine you be nice and you'll get her.~*

That's not really true, yes there are 4 people, but the last one is Kratos by default. Also, the person youspeak to will remove Mithos' Crxis Crystal from Lloyd when the time comes. (Unless you saw Kratos in which case,Colette automaticly does it.) Also skits,(Or Z-button scenes as you refered to them as) do not change relationships with certain characters. Certain points in the story where you are faced with a choice of what to say do. As do skit point scenes (found on the world map)

Actually if you work it so that Zelos has the best relation ship with Lloyd (that means saying all the wrong things to every one else and the right things to Zelos) then Zelos will be default instead of Kratos. But I have never managed to work it so yet. xp

Kratos isn't defualt, you have to have a good relationship with him. (Though I've never gotten one playthrough where I haven't had a good one with him.) but yeah, the person you talk to determines who takes the cruxis crystal.
The main differences are Collette, Zelos, and Kratos all give you an item after their talk. Collette's is the only one equipable. Everyone else offers interesting insight on other topics.

It also gives a lot of interesting insights into the pasts/feelings of the characters. for a plot addict like me, that's the most important part.
For some characters, who you choose affects the ending of the game. If Sheena has the highest relationship by the end, she will accompany Lloyd when he goes to collect the exspheres instead of Colette. Some scenes will also change, such as who Lloyd talks to the night before the Torent Forest.

A spoiler is needed to describe this. *These conversations occur after Mithos reveals himself in your group. There is a scene where Lloyd is briefly taken hostage by Yuan, and Kratos is revealed to be Lloyd's father. Mithos comes out from Altessa's house, and attacks everyone. He attempts to blast Presea when the main group arrives, but Altessa throws himself in the way. Raine is unable to help him, so you go the the doctor in Flanoir to get help. A part of the group stays returns with the doctor, but the rest remain to stay the night.* At that time, a series of four people come to Lloyd's door. These four people vary, as they are the ones with the highest relationship with Lloyd. The conversations take place then. You can only see one, so if you want to see all of them you'll have to reload your game each time.

I remember now! Sorry, I just couldn't really remember before... Is that when Collette gives Lloyd the bunny?

Yeah...From Colette, you receive the Snow Hare (Or something of that nature), Kratos gives you a locket that contains a picture of Lloyd, Kratos, and Anna, and Zelos entrusts you with his Cruxis Crystal.
It's interesting to note that if you receive any of these three, they will save Lloyd's life from a trap as he ascends the Tower of Salvation. It results in an interesting bit of plot development, and the relationship between the characters goes up. (I think)
If you speak to a different character, however, Lloyd merely dodges the arrow trap. By comparison, it's rather lame, ne? sweatdrop
