the story in FF7 is better or FF7 Advent , sometimes it confuse me in the story confused

I too believe this to be true, since although Advent Children possessed a far more appealing presentation of the characters (graphically speaking), it was extremely weak with regards to story. Unless you'd actually played the game, not much, if any of the movie's story at all, would make sense. However, most people are too preoccupied with the prettiness that is Advent Children to care much for the story. razz *is guilty of the same thing*

This could be, however, due to the fact that they spend far much more time and effort developing the story for the game, since that was one of the game's main selling points, being an RPG and what have you. Advent Children was more of cutting off loose ends, and adding some closure (and at the time time, making some more questions) to Cloud and his issues.

I think Advent Children was un-needed, it had a decent story line. but all this new stuff we dont need at all. the storyline to VII was perfect in my oppinion, now we have DoC and AC and the new one(not too sure of its title) and they arnt neccesary. just my oppinion tho.

I say the storyline in Final Fantasy VII was the better part. I loved the game a lot when I played it and it gave me some suspense with certain parts, and though I was young back then, I loved how you'd find out information. It definatly had a deeper storyline that was hard to notice until all the events happened. It was probably one of the most original and best storylines I ever read for it wasn't really stereo typical like with princesses or anything like that.

I loved it so much, and I think what makes the storyline truly great is that, even after explaining everything, there are still certain questions about it that one cannot be to sure of what the exact answer is, and is more of opinion at this point. That's what makes the game so wonderful, if you can still question something, and make something out of it, it proves it makes you think a lot about it.

It was beautifuly done.

Though, if I recall correctly, a few people had their hopes in the guild so many months ago, that they would eventually end all of the arguments like *SPOIL* Cloud being a clone (Which is probably cleared up now) and some other ones. But, I believe this was the bigger one (on the side wether Cloud would choose between Aeris and Tifa x3 ).

Sadly, the movie did not provide these answers, and did not end it. Truthly, I was hoping they'd have a more depht plot and funnily enough, when I first saw the trailers for the game, I thought Cloud looked disgusting. xD (With all those muscles and what not... -.-''' ). The thing that aggrivated me to no end is that the characters didn't really have a chance to 'shine' like Cloud did with all the music dedicated to his personal fights ( Sides Tifa who got the classical boss music... AND the triumphant music! =D ). But what really bugs me is that Cloud and Tifa never got together, but, if it was declared the Aeris and Cloud got together, or Tifa and Cloud got together, they'd loose probably quite a few Final Fantasy VII fan because of this.

Sadly, the movie was more like a skin peel, but good all the same. 3nodding

ehh.. in my opinion it's a personal question.. if you were satisfied with the ending in the game then i think AC was unnecessary. But for me it was just more frustrating that the story really was ended, i wanted mooore!!

Then i saw Before Crisis but thats only a prestory of ffVII so that didn't satisfed me either.. I got kind of sad when i knew that this was the end.. cry

And I think that both the game and AC are really really good and they are connected.

The story of FF7 is better duh! I mean I like AC, but FF7 is a way better story. FF7 = 2 months of action and intense sephiroth vs. cloud vs. shinra action. AC = 1 day in time of that.

Whilst it does not have cliched characters like those in fair tales, it still has highly cliched characters.

Hey whatever happened to cloud getting with Barret xD. I remember them going on a date in the game. Yet it was not mentioned in Ac wink

As for me I considered it little more than eye candy. A movies plot is very important to me. I felt it bought FF7 down for me.

i thought advent children was pretty cool, and nice and pretty, but in my opinion i think advent children should of started off as like a TV show, cause the story for AC was more of a story filler than was an actual story and there were alot of things left out as some people mentioned above.. thats just my opinion

first i had problems to understand everything in the game - then i watched advent children and the special story summening on the dvd - and suddenly there was no confusion anymore. i think on the english version of the game many things are bad translated. 3nodding

AC was just the continuation that wrapped up all the loose ends. Kadaj and his brothers were all clones with numbers, which explains why they could do what they did. If you remember, only the weak clones of Sephiroth died. They had to resurface eventually to cause problems. And of course, we had to learn what the fate of Shinra was, and what happened to the last bit of Jenova. It was just to go in and fill plot holes they left at the end of the game. The anime that came with AC fills in a lot of those too. It's pretty, but if you pay attention, it does actually have a plot, even if it's a subtle one.

I don't feel that the movie has a very strong storyline.

It also confused those who had never played the game.

The game's storyline is better since it introduces the characters and has a bigger conflict.

Final Fantasy VII: I won't go into detail on this one...too long.

SPOILER!!!~

Advent Children: The Turks were assigned to go to the Crater in the north and find Sephiroth's sword as proof that he was dead. When they arrived, they ran into three of the Sephiroth clones and were attacked. The clones proceeded out of the crater in search of their "Mother" Jenova.

Holy had destroyed Meteor, the biggest threat to the planet yet, but it hadn't forgotten about the other problems on the planet either. After Holy and Lifestream had destroyed Meteor, it caused a cancerous epidemic called Geostigma to grasp hold of humans to yet again destroy another threat to the planet.

The Last Order: The story of Could and Zack's encounter with Sephiroth inside the Nibelhiem mako reactor.

~~~
The story in Advent Children wasn't all that great. Whereas it did answer a few questions, like what happened when Meteor was destroyed, and a few of the people that "died" in the game. But other than that, it was really just used to feed a pack of hungry FFVII fans worldwide who wanted a remake with some of the original Japanese options available.
The Last Order however I feel we needed direly. I myself understood the events that took place in Cloud's past in Nibelhiem with Sephiroth and Zack. But, after getting a few puzzled questions from friends who had played the game and didn't understand a lot of what happened, I realized that this was a good idea.
Even thought the movie wasn't needed, it gave to the fans of the rpg a voice and more of a visual of the characters. Also it shows the fans better expressions. I liked the movie, the story was good because if you pay attention it really delves into the problems of how cloud still thinks he is responsible for Aeriths death. Kadaj and his gang just stimulate cloud into realizing that he is who he is and comes to realize what he cares about. In fact the movie ties in so well that if Tetsuya Nomura thought about it he could probobly have made it a Final Fantasy VII-2. It would be an interesting venture would it not?
