~Several years after the disaster in Termina, the evil that was sealed inside Majora's Mask was expelled. The mask itself had been rendered harmless be the legendary "Hero of Time." Several years have passed since that horrid event, and Link, the Hero of Time finally returns to Hyrule, but when he returns, the land he once knew is not what he remembered. A mysterous evil had completely taken over Hyrule, turning the once peaceful land into a world of pure darkness. Daylight was non-existent in this place. The land was barren, the forests were destroyed. Rivers ran red with blood, and the fields were decorated with the skulls of various creatures that once inhabited this land. Before he could say a word, the minions of the darkness had ambushed him. Link put up a brilliant fight, but nothing could have prepared him for what happened next. He was attacked by Adamska, his Dark Twin and rendered uncounscious. The dark minions then dragged him off into the darkness of the night.

When he awoke, he found himself staring up at a face that he thought he would never see again. Gannon. He had somehow escaped from his prison in the Sacred Realm, but he was not alone. Adamska staring down at him with an erie smile, but there was someone else in the room. Someone whom he did not recognize. He was forced to sit up, and he found himself unarmed, and his hands tied. He looked around the room to find the Six Sages all trapped inside some sort of crystal like objects. Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, Nabooru, and even Zelda they were all there. Ganondorf was approached by another Gerudo male. One that bore a similar resembleace to him, only younger. They were conduncting some sort of twisted ritual, and Link was at the center of it all. As the Triforce of Gannon's hand began to glow, so did Link's and Zelda's.

A Light had begun to fill the room, as the ritual continued. The Sage's crystals, had begun to crack, as their own lights shot from one crystal to the next. The light above formed what appeared to be a Six-Point star in the air above Link. The young gerudo held Link to the ground as a light had begun to emit from his body. Within the depths of this castle, the screams of Link and the laughter of Gannon could be heard into the fields. The lights had begun to darken as the demonic cries of the Darkness had begun to take over the room. Link soon passed out, and was trapped in his own crystal. The triforce on Link's hand shattered, and so did Zelda's. The ritual that Ganon had started, was not yet complete. It seemed that there was another force, that would arise to challenge Ganon's power once again. Another Power that far surpassed that of both Zelda and Link together. A terror from beyond the borders of light and darkness.~

Hylians
Blessed by the Gods with exceptional magical skills, such as the ability to communicate through telepathy and making powerful potions, the Hylians have always been the most powerful race throughout Hyrule. They look a lot like humans, except their ears are long and pointy. The Hylians are known for having the skills of manipulating magic.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Sheikah
The Sheikah, also known as 'The Shadow Folk' are the people chosen by the gods to protect the Triforce and the Royal family of Hyrule. They looked just like Hylians, but bigger. During the great war it is said that all the Sheikah except Impa died. The Sheikah built the Shadow Temple in Kakariko Village.

Kokiri
Living in Kokiri Forest protected by The Great Deku Tree, the Kokiri were the only race that did not participate in the Great War. An ancient legend tells that if a Kokiri leaves the forest, he or she will die. Every Kokiri is born with a protecting fairy.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Goron
The Gorons are generally a helpful race that won't harm anybody that doesn't want to harm them. However, they do possess great power and knowledge about fighting techniques. This is proven when Link inhabits the body of an ancient Goron Soldier, Darmani, in the adventure of Majora's Mask. They can live under extreme heat, and grow to become HUGE (Example: Biggoron who lives at the top of Death Mountain). The Gorons eat rocks. It is believed that once Hyrule was flooded the Gorons fled to other parts of the world, such as Labrynna and Termina, as they are not very tolerable to water.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Zora
The Zoras are a powerful, but at the same time very vulnerable race. Their powers are shown in Majoras Mask when Link inhabits the body of a legendary Zora musician, Mikau. They are extremely good swimmers, but they need water to survive. In Ocarina of Time, most of the Zoras died when their home, Zora's Domain was frozen during Links seven-year sleep. The Zoras have also appeared as an evil race, but then they go by the name "Zola".

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Deku
The Dekus are a strange race, which can be considered both as enemies and friends. The Dekus are a race who is mainly concerned about themselves, and therefore they can switch sides between good and evil, depending on which is best for them at the time.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Gerudo
The Gerudos are a lone people. They live in fortresses, and are known as thieves. Nearly all Gerudos are women. In Hyrule, a male Gerduo is born every 100 years and this man is destined to be the leader of the Gerudos until a new male is born into the tribe.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Fairies
Guardian Fairies, or simply fairies, are small glowing 'flies' that have been assigned to guard and protect their own Kokiri Kid. The Great Fairy is a big fairy, that seems to be put together by many small Guardian Fairies, or at least she is in Majora's Mask when Skull Kid shatters her into many small fairys. Special fairies that are only used for healing are called 'Faeries'. The Fairies are often forgotten when the races of Hyrule are mentioned, even though they play a great part in the journeys of Link.

~Events~

This section will be updated as the story progresses. The major turning points of the story as well as the side plots will be summarized here, for those who whish to catch up, and those who wish to join. Although the best way to get caught up is to READ, but since i know how taxing that can be, this will have to do. Not as much reading. lol.

~Prologue~

Link has returned to Hyrule after years of travelling, only to be ambushed by the Minions of darkness. It seems that in his absence, Ganondorf has some how escaped his prison in the sacred realm, and turned Hyrule into a land of darkness. After Link was taken to Ganon's castle, he was confronted not only by Ganon himself, but his son Prince Exor, and his twin, whom he thought he vanquished in the Water Temple. After performing a ritual which purpose remains unknown, it wa discovered that Link and Zelda no longer bear the Triforce. Ganondorf has ordered a search of Hyrule for the bearers of the Triforce, with the Kakariko Village and the Gerudo Fortress falling to his influence.

Saga I: Darkness

"Against the dangers of disease, he conceived of the idea of night guards and watchmen. The disease worsens with the treatment, and the remedy is worse than the disease. It is said that for a sick man, there is hope as long as there is life. A sick man dreams to either conquer or die. The die has been cast. He holds the wolf by the ears, and flies by his own wings. He bid them look at the sky and lift their faces to the stars. Seize the day, trust as little as possible in tomorrow, for there is no easy way to reach the stars."

~To the west of Hyrule feild, there lies a massive desert. It is in this desert that the sand begins to churn. A Huge Sand Lion had begun to trap its prey, a sole man walking through the desert. The man did not seem to fear such a creature. As the snad slowly began to give away underneathhis feet, he suddenly leapt into the air, diving into the churning sand itself. The churning had ceased after a few seconds. All this could be seen from the Gerudo village. The ground had begun to shake, rumbling with the fury of an earthquake as the sand leapt high into the air from the ground it formed in the desert. The Gerudo women had begun to look around frantically as one of them shouted to the others. The man was seen walking back into the village, dragging the dead Sand Lion behind him. He was obviously of Gerudo origins, since they all seemed to let him through the gates without strife. As he passed by the women of the village, they all gave him an unusual salute, and steped out of his path. He made his way to the highest structure in the village, and stood staring out at the canyon. The wind blowing in hia hair, he could feel a rise in the darkness that covered the land.~

So, it has begun.

To say the least the climate of this land was not to Andrea's liking. Until this moment she had yet to encounter a place composed completely of sand, and a sky devoid of rain bearing clouds. Desolation was the only term that seemed to suit the region in her eyes. Oddly enough Arion calmly tread the searing earth at his feet without complaint, now seemingly ignorant of his wintry origins.
They both continued on silently until the sun began its decent towards the horizon, heralding the icy chill that the night would bring.

With a subtle hand motion from its master the fox like creature darted off into the gathering shadows to begin hunting while Andrea began setting up a place to rest from their most recent trek.

For nearly three days she and Arion had ventured into the desert, moving ever farther from their former home.

It was not as if she was running from her people, merely coming to terms with a world that she had been ignorant of until recent years...

~At the Gerudo Village, the sound of a horn echoed throughout the Canyon and Desert. One of the guards had sounded the alert, at the request of their leader. They were all running around frantically, and preparing for battle. There was something approaching them from the desert. It was using the sands as cover, and it seemed to be much larger than the Sand Lion that Malkaia had killed. At the gates, there stood Malkaia with three of his liutenants. he was staring out at the Sands when he heard the beast's cries. There was more than one of them, and he had the village go into high alert.~

"So, it sends its peons to test us." He said to himself.
"What is it Lord Malkaia? Do you see it?" Spoke one if his liutenants.
"No. it is too far away." He replied with a disturbing calm.
"If it's out there, then what is coming for us?" Asked another.
"An Army." He stated. [olor=darkred]"His army."
"So you're saying that Ganon has army heading our way!?!" Malon exclaimed. What would you ahve us do?"
"They must be using the sands." He noted. "Get to higher ground."

With that the Gerudo women all began to climp the watch towers and rooftops of the village. Malkaia on the other hand remained where he was. If his suspicions were correct, the army was burrowing underground in their attempts to attack the village. Malkaia closed his eyes and drew a single throwing knife from its holster. The villagers all readied their bows, and took up defensive positions as the shrieks died out. There was silence amongst the village as they awaited an attack.

Arion had only disappeared into the quickly cooling desert for a matter of minutes before he re-entered camp, but he seemed frantic for some reason.

Andrea didn't question her companion, he may have only been an animal, but he was aware of things that she could never hope to sense. Quickly she stood and strung her bow with a single quick motion.

"Show me."

With that the white fox like creature shot off into the approaching darkness with it's master now following.

~~
"Sand beasts" she murmured lowly as she watched from a rocky crag as the ground rippled with movement as large creatures raced below. They seemed to be headed towards a subtle cluster of lights in the distance, probably some village or scarred mark of civilization in this desolate landscape.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2007 10:42 am

As the Gerudo continued to await an attack, an odd rumbling could be felt through the village. Something along the lines of an earthquake was affecting the Gerudo village. The blade in Malkaia's hand began to glow as the Gerudo began to look around the village almost panicced. The ground beneath Malkaia began to give away, and his eyes shot open. He leapt in a back flipping motion, and hurled the glowing knife down towards the ground once he was upsidedown. He then finished off his flip and landed on the ledge above where he was standing. The knife was impaled in the sand, and the red light that glowed on the knife sunk into the ground. Soon afterwards, the sand began to errupt with red flames sending several objects hurling into the air. These objects were warriors, dressed in Crimson. Their skin however was a deep gray. They were not of this world. When they hit the ground they remained motionless, as Malkaia remained in his kneeling position, placing one hand on the hilt of his blade, Nosferatu.

"Are they..." Malon asked, but she was interrupted by Malkaia.

"Do not let your guard down. It's not over yet."

Within in the Gerudo village, the warriors that laid on the ground had begun to rise once again. Once they were on their feet, they wasted no time in attacking the village. The archers on the watch towers began to fire their arrows without mercy into the monsters on the ground. The arrows however had no effect. Malkaia had started a battle with one of their captains. He suddenly realized why he could not sense their presence. He cut through the creature, and it fell to the ground, in the form of sand. All that was left was a small orb. The orb then began to float in the air, and reform the creature that he had ust slain. This was more than just a monster. It was made of sand, with the orb acting as the core of the beast.

"What sorcery is this!?!" Malkaia excalimed.

"Lord Malkaia!!!!"

Just as Malon shouted his name, Malkaia swung his blade behind him cutting through one of the soldiers, and his core at the sme time. When the core was cut, it exploded in mid air, causing the creature to collapse, and rejoin the sands. The Gerudo did not take long to catch onto this trend. The Archers had all begn to aim for the cores of the beasts in their village. Their numbers had begun to decrease slowly. Malkaia soon found himself surrounded by the enemy. He cut through them one by one, but the sheer numbers were beginning to overwhelm him. He clashed blades with one of the creatures, and kept the hold, getting a better look at the beast he faced. His face twisted at the hideousness of the creature. Before he could break the hold, the creature disolved into the sands.

Standing behind the creature was Malon, one of his liutenants and former heir to Lon Lon Ranch. The other two were cutting a path open for their lord to escape to higher ground. Malkaia gave her a hearty smirk, and got to his feet. He then proceeded to back away from the entrance slowly, cutting the creatures down as they came. Malon followed his example holding them off, while Syra and Vitalani continued to cut open a path for Malkaia and Malon. The battle was intense, and they seemed to be holding their own. Once they reached one of the buildings, the three liutenants, entered the building, but Malkaia on the other hand, remained at the entrance. There were too many of them to hold off for long. He noticed one of the guard towers collapsing, and stood normally.

As he stood, a red flame began to burn on his shoulders. The monsters had once again surrounded him, but they were hesitant to attack. Malon and the others had exitted the building several on the opposite side of where he stood, but could see him clearly. As the beasts slowly made their way towards Malkaia, a Third Eye appeared on his forehead. The pupil on this eye was more Dragon-like than anything, and his other two eyes followed the same pattered. They began to glow with the ferocity of a wildfire, as he held one hand out in front of him. Malon and the other leutenants were in awe at this event. They had never seen this side of their lord. They could do nothing but watch as this caught the attention of everyone in the village.

"What is he doing?" Malon asked.

"I don't know." Replied Syra. "I've never seen him look so...evil."

"All of you..." He said in a disturbingly dark tone. "Die..."

Just as Malkaia finished his statement, a wave of flames shot out of his hand, and spread onto the attacking creatures. The Gerudo women had all begun to retreat into the buildings, while the creatures in the village were ignited with these flames. The Gerudo that did not escape wre caught in the flames, but miraculously, no harm came to them. The creatures began to fall by the tens, as Malkaia's attack ensued. It seemed that every one of the creatures that entered the village were ignited in these flames. After realizing that they could do no more damage, the creature began to flee the village, taking whatever measures necessary to get out. Malkaia's flames had died down once they were gone. The eye on his forehead closed up and seemed to vanish. Malkaia then collapsed to the ground, and Malon wasted no time in rushing to his side. Vitalani ordered the guards to close all gates, and they obeyed without question. She then joined Malon, while Syra tended to the injured. They had won this battle, but this was just a sample of what had not yet come to pass.

Within Kakariko village, a mysterious fog had begun to settle. This fog looked more like smoke, but it settled on the ground almost as if it the ground was the cause of this enigma. This Black fog caused the dead to rise from their graves in the Cemetary. The villagers had quickly taken shelter inside of their homes as the village was quickly overrun with skeletons and the like. Although it was not the dead that the villagers seemed to fear. It was the man that walked among them. This man, once a well-known Sheikah, now the keeper of the damned. His arms crossed as he walked through the village. The once prestigious warrior thought to be dead, has returned to this world...half-alive...half-something else.

"Where there is light you will find Darkness. Without that light to guide you, the Darkness will consume you all." He announced. "If that light is what keeps you from giving in to the Darkness...then I shall sever that Light from your bodies."

As the man continued to walk through the village, his body had faded into the darkness of the fog. The Stalfos that roamed the village all seemed to head for a different house in the village. They were not merely lurking about, but rather searching for something...or someone. they all seemed dedicated to their purpose, but all it took was a single shriek from within their ranks to break them out of their trance. One of the Stalfos as caught sight of something sneaking about the village, but it's movements were too slow to stop this particular individual from roaming about. The other Stalfos in the village had begun to leave the houses they were targetting to pursue the intruder. Still there was no sight of the man that walked among them.

Just as one of the Stalfos neared the bush where the sound of a whimpering child was heard, three arrows were shot in it's back. The Stalfos let out a hideous moan, and bursted into flames. On the roof of one of the buildings, a single woman had appeared. Armed with her bow, she had proceeded to fire another three arrows into the crowd of Stalfos. Again the arrows made contact with their intended targets, and burned the Stalfos into dust. She leapt from rooftop to rooftop, soon spotting a child in the village. She seemed to be heading towards Death Mountain, but the woman knew it was dangerous. Luckily she had not been alonte. She was accompanied by a Zora...or so it seemed. This Zora was distinctively different from those that most here accustomed to. She made her way towards the child and stopped her from enterring the Death Mountain path.

"Do not go there." She commanded. "There is nothing of use."

"NAGI!!!"

Just as the other woman shouted, the Zora grabbbed hold of the child and leapt away from her postion as one of the Stalfos shrieked, attempting to paralyze them in their position. He clung to the wall of the building and easily scaled her way to one of the roof tops, where the child would be safe from harm. She then stood up normally, and met up with her companion.

"Linka. We must protect this village." She stated.

"I know." Linka replied. "I don't know where he went, but I'm sure he is the cause of this."

"I agree." She added. "We must tread carefully. I can feel a great deal of evil from this one and I fear he will not be an easy target."

"I'll keep that in mind." Linka replied. "Lets go."

Andrea watched silently from little less than a mile from the village as the enemy forces retreated. Arion's hair bristled as one of the desert creatures slowly stumbled towards their position with an unusual single-minded gait.
Immediately she nocked and arrow and drew her bow, the arrow suddenlybeing consumed by a subtle silver fire as it was altered by N'hrive into a weapon that would be of use against this enemy. Andrea silently noted in awe that the arrow was now composed of pure light, a weapon that had not been seen within the realm for many years, odd that the bow would choose to utilize it now.
Before the desert soldier could advance any further she loosed the arrow which immediately imbedded itself in the center of the creature's chest. There was a sudden reaction as her enemy then turned to sand with a chilling wail that pierced the now silent desert echoing far beyond the village before going silent.
Though it was slain an odd orb remained, but the same silver fire that had enchanted the arrow engulfed it and small fractures could be seen developing on it's surface before it tumbled to the ground and shattered, the flames dying out with it.

"Unusual..." Andrea said as she examined the remains quickly before Arion turned to retreat back, the beast normally didn’t behave this way, at most times nothing frightened him. None of this bode well.

In the Gerudo village, Malon and the other liutenants were tending to the damages to their village. They were all concerened for their lord's safety, but they knew there was other work to be done. Malon did not leave her lord's side, but the others were taking on various tasks. Syra was tending to the injured, while Vitalani was taking care of the repairs. Malkaia was resting in his chamber. He had somehow exhausted himself during the battle, but there was something about his power, that didn't sit well with his followers. It was a mystery that no one could hope to solve. No one other than the man who weilded this power. As Malon sat trying to make head or tails of what just hapened, the other two of Malkaia's liutenants entered the room.

"What was that power? Why did the enemy fear it so...and why did you choose now to use it?" She asked as she ran her hand gently down the side of his face. "Just wake up...we need you."

"Malon. What are you doing?" Syra asked. "We still have work to do."

"I know but...I can't leave him." Malon replied. "Someone needs to watch him...just in case."

"There's no telling when they'll return." Vitalani suggested. "If they attack now, we'd be completely defenseless. We all have our roles, but if we falter, so will our sisters."

"And what if he dies?" Malon said, her anger beginning to rise. "What if they send an assassin? Who's going to protect him, then?"

"You're so stubborn." Syra said. "The master can take care of himself. He's been through worse."

"And just how is he going to 'take care of himself' in this state?" Malon countered. There was silence from the other liutenants as they could not produce an answer to her inquiry. "My sentiments exactly."

"The point is, sitting here crying over spilled milk is not going to wake him up." Vitalani explained. "When he's incapacitated, we must lead. Oour actions directly influence our sisters. Do you understand?"

"Yeah, but..." She said before she was interrupted by Syra.

"I cannot expect you to fully understand the gerudo way. You are not one of us." Syra taunted.

"You will not mention my origins in this place." Malon demanded. "I have proven myself on more than one occassion. Last I checked, you were the first to fall to my blade."

"Care to test that theory now?" Syra taunted.

"With pleasure."

"Enough!!!"

Before Malon could strike, Malkaia's voice had silenced both of their intentions, and their malice toward one another. He had been awake for quite some time, and Vitalani was already tending to his wounds. He did not seem to be harmed in any way, he was just exhausted from the attack. Once he stood he clothed himself once again, and dawned his battle gear. Needless to say, he did not seem too pleased with the behavior of his liutenants.

"Is this what I can expect from you when I am not around?" Malkaia questioned in disbelief. "You would throw the entire Gerudo tribe into mutiny, because of your own egos? I expect far more from the two of you."

"Forgive me." Malon replied. "I don't know what came over me."

"I don't know why we ever let an outsider into our ranks to begin with." Syra countered.

"She is here because I will it to be so." Malkaia stated. "Syra if you have any other problems, with whom I choose as a liutenant, or how I rule. Perhaps the next challenge you should make is to me...with your blade."

"No, lord. I would never think of challenging you." She said in shock.

"Then it would do you well to keep your taunts silent." Malkaia suggested. "Since you are so eager to spill blood. Prepare our defenses, for an attack."

As Syra left the chamber, Malon and Vitalani remained at their lord's side. He walked over to the overlook of his chamber and stared out into the desert once again. His mond seemed distraught with many a thought. Malon moved to his side, and stared down at the village as she watched Syra make what fortifications she could in the little time she had.

"I don't know why they have shown such an interest in our fortress, but I can feel it coming this way. This next attack will be bloody." Malkaia explained. "Prepare yourself, and do not hold back when the time comes."

"Why do you sound as though we've already lost?" Malon questioned. "Have you lost all faith in us?"

"No." Malkaia replied. "Quite the contrary. I have faith in all of you...but I am a realist. I know that everyone will not survive this battle. And every death is a loss for me." Malkaia hung his head in shame for a moment before he lost all emotion in his speech. "Prepare yourselves. It is coming."

In Kakariko village, the groud lay decorated with the bodies of the Stalfos which had been rampaging the village. The two women responsible now stood near the well, continuing their search for the man who had summoned them. When they found no sign of him, they began to evacuate the village. Once the village was clear, it could be seen that the fog that had been coverinng the village, had begun to move itself toward the graveyard. Neither Nagi or Linka could understand why, but they knew that the answers lied with this fog.

They began to move toward the graveyard, following the flow of the fog, and once they arrived, they were able to bear witness to the fog swirling around once particular grave. Upon a closer examination, Linka's eyes widened. Nagi was not very familiar with the language of the Hylians but she was curious as to what Linka had seen.

"What does it say?" She asked.

"Here lies what remains of Azrielle Tatsumaru, Leader of the Shiekah and loyal servant to the King of Hyrule. He gave his life to seal away the great evil in the Shadow Temple, but never returned to reep the beniefits of his sucess." She read. "He will forever be remembered as the Blade of Hyrule, and a true hero of the Shiekah."

"How noble." An unknown voice suddenly interrupted.

Before they could react however, the fog shot into the air, only to touchdown at the entrance to the Shadow temple swirling about in place as if a miniature tornado. After a few seconds, the fog disbursed, and the figure of a man was seen. He stood with his arms crossed, and a celestial cloak seemed to cover a portion of his face. He was armed with two lengthy blades, and he was dressed in a dark blue garment. His face bore no expression and his area was not of this world. It was as if something dead was present within his soul.

"It seems that I was not forgotten...even in death, I was renowned the hero who saved Kakariko Village." He said. "Such titles are meaningless to those trapped in the darkness."

"You...you died hundreds of years ago..." Linka said almost frightenedly. "How can you be alive?"

"I'm not you idiot." He replied darkly.

Just as he mast his statement, the groans of the undead could be heard to their rear. As they turned to face what seemed to be another wave of Stalfos, the howls of the damned was heard, as several wolfos exited the Temple of Shadows, and leapt down into the graveyard surrounding Linka and Nagi. They stood back to back to avoid being flanked by the wolfos who were very fond of attacking the rear of their opponents. They seemed to only taunt them, snapping and growling ferociously almost as if they were being held back by some unseen force.

"Before you die I have but one question for the both of you." He stated calmly. "If i told you I was a traveler from the East..."

"Then I reould reply that you are a mad man." Nagi replied.

"I see." He said. "You are not the ones."

As he came to realization that the one he was searching for, was not among the village, his form vanished into the darkness, leaving the two of them to contend with the Wolfos in the graveyard, and the Stalfos in the village.

"Not good." Nagi said. "If he were all that kept them from attacking, we coudl be in serious trouble."

"We've been through worse." Linka reassured her. "This is child's play."

"Why do you have to be so optimistic?" Nagi asked.

"Well, if I wasn't, would you still travel with me?" Linka countered.

"No. I guess not." Nagi said with a smile. "Thank you, for that."

"You can thank me later. Right now, we have to focus on staying alive." Linka said.

"Easy enough." Nagi said. "Child's play. Remember?"

"Yeah. Let's make this quick."

In the depths of Ganon's castle there lies a dungeon. A dungeon filled with the stench of blood, which is decorated with corpses. Two cells filled with Seven warriors are present in this Dungeon. It seemed that Ganon wished to keep the Seven Sages in his custody, so that he would not have to hunt them down once again. Within these very cells, the Sages had begun to plot their escape, but their hope was as fragile as a child in slumber.

"How could we let this happen to us!?!" Darunia spoke. "We are sages. We are supposed to conquer evi! Not the other way around!" He shouted.

"It's simple." Impa replied. "He's grown too powerful."

"Still, isn't there something that we could have done?" Saria inquired. "Link is doesn't possess a Triforce anymore. What does that mean?"

"Well seeing as how the Princess doesn't have one either, it could mean many things." Impa relied.

"That's what worries me." Nabooru said nervously.

"What do you mean?" Darunia asked.

"If Neither of them possess a Fragment of the Triforce, then who does?" She asked. "Or even worse...where it is if noone possesses it?"

"Yes. I can see where this is going." Impa replied.

"Yeah, but Link is a Sage now." Darunia assued them. "He has all the power he needs."

"I wouldn't be so sure." Nabooru contered. "As a Sage, he may not be able to weild the master sword again, and that could prove disatrous for us all."

"The Master sword choses its master, it chose Link." Impa added.

"Yes, it chose me, but I was not a Sage then." Link said from his corner in the cell. "If being the Sage of Time means I have to guard the Sacred realm, I wil not be able to wield the blade. It will choose a new master, and from the looks of things...it will take on a new form."

"Indeed." Nabooru concured. "Either way, we need to get out of here. I'm sure he has his minions raising all kinds of hell as we speak."
