You know, I keep thinking about Sirius dying in OOtP, and is makes me sad. This is silly, since he isn't a real person. However, I think I've gotten so caught up in fanfiction and Remus X Sirius that they've come to seem almost real.

My best friend was in denial for at least 3 months. It is all part of the grieving process... (Sorry.. currently in a grief workshop.. I know this kind of stuff)
WHY THE HELL WOULD SHE KILL SIRIUS!?!? *Sobs* ... Harry lost his parents, AND his godfather.. that is sad.

I think Lupin is going to be killed off in the last book, too. I do think the end of the series is going to be a real downer, with a lot of our favourite characters getting the axe.

Heh, I guess I'm still in denial about poor Siri.... I've gotten into fanfiction so much more to than the books themselves that I've started to look at canon with disregard, to some extent.... sweatdrop Kinda sad, but true.
I'd really hate it if Remus dies, too... I'd be more depressed than mad.... emo

I've gotten into fanfiction so much more to than the books themselves that I've started to look at canon with disregard, to some extent.... sweatdrop Kinda sad, but true. I'd really hate it if Remus dies, too... I'd be more depressed than mad.... emo I guess that's the good thing about fanfiction; we can make our OWN reality as to what happens to the characters. We can bring Sirius back, make them live forever, whatever we want. I think that's the real appeal of the whole fanfiction genre: we can write the stories the way WE think they should have gone smile

I didn't cry when Sirius died because when I first read it, I was in shock. I think I walked around completely mute for a few days because of it. Then when I went back to read it again I decided that no, he wasn't really dead, he'll be back in the next book.
...sadly, I was wrong.
I'm still hoping he'll make an appearance in the seventh book. Hey, it's possible.
Remus can't die. If he does, I'll cry. A lot. And won't come out of my room for days as protest.
I live off of fanfiction too. Canon isn't always as fun as fanfiction, that's for sure.

Yeah, I'm emotionally preparing myself for the death of someone important. Possibly Harry, Remus, Ron, Hermione or even Draco Malfoy or Snape.
But yeah, when Sirius died, my eyes just stopped reading and and I just skimmed over that sentence where she describes his back falling in a graceful arch and through the veil over and over to make sure I understood what had happened correctly. And then I went into denial for three days after finishing the book. XD

Is anyone disappointed in the way Sirius died?
I haven't read OotP in a while but from what I remember Sirius died, basically, because Bellatrix pushed him through a curtain. A curtain. He sort of exited the stage, right? Is that what it implies? He seemed the type to have died a more dramatic and heroic death than having his evil cousin push him through a curtain.
He deserved something way better than that, especially with all that he went through in life.
