That is a great series, by Johnathan Stroud! I read books 1 (The Amulet of Samarkand) and 2 (The Golem's Eye). I'm on thw waiting list at the library for book 3 (Ptolemy's Gate). I just recently finished reading book 2, and that was GOOD. I don't know when I'm gonna read a book as good as that again...it's sad to finish it, and know that I'm the 6th person on the waiting list for the next book. crying

Anyway, This is a FANTASTIC Series. It was one of the most original stories I've ever read. I wonder if they'll do a movie of the books?
I wonder who'll play the characters? They could shoot all three movies at once if they were careful, Since the books are years apart and Nathaniel could be played by different brothers. or any look alike kids with talent!!!
I am actually REREADING the series again!!! ( I NEVER reread books. This is the second book that I have ever read. The first was many years ago, The Unicorn Hunt. I really liked that book. It was the one that turned me into a fantasy book reader. I was like nine or ten years old. My brother got it from me from the library. )
I wonder who would play the characters?

It's okay, I usually like spoilers xd , besides I don't know WHO dies... ninja And yeah, it would be really cool if they made it a movie! Bartimaeus would be so funny!!! heart Plus it would be cool to see him shapeshift and stuff. Nathaniel seemed a lot nicer in book 1 than in book 2...but I still sort of like him as a main character. Well, I feel much better now, I've gone from number 6 on the waiting list to number 5...in all this time. gonk

Allright, just one thing... Don't!, What ever you do!, Never Ever Say Who Dies In A Book...!! Are you guys mad??? eek
I have only read the first, and I loved it!! mrgreen Bartimeus sounded like me sometimes... I don't know if that is a good thing or not..

I agree. Deleting post now. I had to delete a series of posts about that issue.
I'm sorry that it ever happened, and Rilia, that was as low as when the newspapers announced who died in The Half-Blood Prince.

I tried to read it, It was good. I just couldn't finish it. Something about the writing style I guess. I liked the plot, I just couldn't finish the book.

My friend was reading the second book, I told him it looked good and he let me borrow the first one ^_^ I finished it yesterday great book great ending heart I need to go and get the next one ^_^
