Didn't see a post about this yet, perhaps there is a reason, but... was anyone lucky enough to purchase a PS3 or Wii? I personally want a PS3 so bad I can taste it...but I'm not gonna be one of these retards paying thousands for one on ebay. They will make more eventually.

It's called supply and demand for a reason. I personally think they do these shortages on purpose so people will go apeshit and be willing to pay mucho buckage for them. I'm going to wait to get a ps3 when it costs about...mm, 100 dollars or so. They have so many glitches in the system as it is right now I don't see why everyone is flipping a** to get one still.

I got a Wii. It is kind of silly the amount of money that some people are paying for the PS3. They will eventually make more but I guess some people really don't want to wait. I think it might be the whole instant gratification thing.

I agree with the madness of the PS3. No one should be that crazy about it. I heard two stories. One, someone on the east coast got shot over one. And two, there was a store that set up 10 lawn chairs and said, "The first ten people in the chairs get PS3s. Someone was hospitalized for having their head smashed into a telephone pole.

personally, i'd like to get both eventually but....
#1 i don't have enough money at the moment...
#2 because both PS3 and Wii have just been released, I'm waiting for the price drop and the bugs to be fixed

I would get the PS3 but...
1. By the time I have enough, something new would have come out.
2. I would never have enough.
When Armagedon was here, they had a stand for the PS3 and everything, it was awesome.

I'm a sony girl =D Oh and the Wii...that just looks plain cool. I so want to play it. But I'm going to wait till the price drops on that one too...Or maybe I can get someone to get it for me on Christmas (seeing as how it's cheaper than the PS3)

Heh. I got mine on launch day. Didn't camp over the weekend either. I didn't reserve mine so I was worried, but after my stop at one gamestop, I found out that all the extra units were being transfered to one mall.
Well horrah horrah! They had hundreds, and I managed to get mine within 4 hours of getting to that mall.
