Kai walked down the market, dragging wood from a rope. He stopped next to a small tent and left the wood with a man. Walking back to the forrest to get more wood with the others he stopped when he saw a small necklace for a baby. He stayed in that tent for a while as he looked at all of them. he heard his partners calling him and decided to do work first, later go shopping.

After a couple of trips taking the wood to the market he was finally paid. He went to a hut on the back of a house to clean his face and hands and make his wings come out. All day he felt his light powers growing and taking him over, but he acted as normal as he could. Men don't show pain.
He walked back to the table with the jewelry and looked ar the necklace. I better buy two. One for if it's a girl ir a boy.

He bought a pink fabric bracelet, a purple one, and a blue one. He also bought a scarf for kaen, a purple, white and gold lines, "I still have a lot of money left. Better save it for the babies." He placed the jewelry in his pocket and kept looking around. he liked window shopping, though sometimes light consumed his vision.

He stopped in a basket store and looked at the bags, stopping his sight on an Indian fabric bag with many bright colors and bells hanging from it. He bought it. He got enough on shopping and started walking back to the Muffin, but slowly.

He stopped next to a fountain and sat down, closing his eyes. He shook the feeling off and put all the things he bought in the bag. He looked up at the sky, his eyes glowing.

Kai's vision went completely white. He felt like crying. If he went blind...how could he see his baby? "Kaen," he whispered, "Kaen...?"

Kaen slipped out the front door of the Muffin. When she hadn't seen Kai lying next to her, she had panicked, the calmed herself, rationalizing with herself that he probably went to town. But something inside wouldn't let her stay put and wait; she had to go find him. Her feeling that something was wrong kept growing, even as she walked up the road away from the Muffin.

The light started going down and he could see the forms of people and things. He got up and walked slowly, hands slightly stretched, trying to find the path back to the Muffin.

"Kai?" Kaen paused seeing someone who looked a lot like Kai walking slowly as though blind. "Kai!!" she cried once the wind carried his scent to her, and she ran to him.

Kai jumped when he heard her and put his hands down, "Hey, I got you something pretty you might like." he shook his head, trying to get that energy out.

She threw her arms around him, putting her head on his shoulder. "That doesn't matter. I was worried about you," she said, hugging him tightly, then leaned back. "Kai, what's wrong? I can tell that something's not right."

"I was working, I'm dirty..." he said as he gently pushed her away, "I'm absorbing way too much light energy...it's giving me some strange abilities but also...is making me a bit blind." he showed her the bag to make up for what he said.

She let herself get pushed away as she looked at him. "It's making you blind?" she whispered, her voice filled with sorrow. She glanced down at the bag, but didn't take it.

"It's probably temporary. Honest. I was out in the forrest working and I could see just fine." he lowered his right hand and made a sphere of light to get some energy out, now being able to see kaen more clearly, "Are you mad?"

She shook her head. "Not mad...but, why couldn't you tell me sooner? That the light was doing this to you?" She took a step towards him. "But...you've never had a problem with it before...."
