Fixed the topic to include the story title, and added a poll.

Still haven't had a chance to actually see it yet... cry

Well, I'm not sure about this one. I think I'm going to go watch it again. It just seemed to be missing something, and moved along way to fast without giving time to actually get involved in what was going on. Of course, that could just be me.
Like I said, I'm going to watch it again, now I think. mrgreen Maybe it will get better the second time around?? It wasn't what I was expecting from Torchwood. Allthough I LOVE the scene where Tosh tries to read Jack's mind. The look on his face - brilliant!

The story was okay. Though I'm getting a bit annoyed with how frequently the show revolves around the personal foibles of the main characters. These Torchwood people could really do with a bit of therapy...

Jack was cool.

Jack was cool, being dead and all.

And Tosh got her character of the week episode.

A Blonde girl/ Asian girl slash story. Just what a hormonal teenage boy needs rolleyes

I loved it. I mean... to me, this is the best episode of the series so far. I know there was the sex and all... but after Day One, it seemed like nothing. But just how everyone was acting...

It was so cool.

The acting was freakin' awesome. But just the way the plot worked out, and how it was all happening... it was perfect. The characters, all of them, became even more interesting and more amazing. And yes, they do need therapy. But probably so does every other person in the world.

When we got to hear Ianto's thoughts, that was so sad. And Owen and Gwen, was, well, dirty, but fairly realistic to what I pictured their minds being like. >>; And the way the thoughts were actually spoken, well, I don't know about everyone else, but it felt like they were thoughts. The kind of sporratic monolouges... the way one guy was thinking about music... the way others were thinking about embarassing things. I know that's how I think. ^^

The whole scene with Jack and Tosh trying to read his mind... I loved that the most, I think. That and the ending scene where he tries to help her deal with it all. It was so in character... and I wish had lasted longer. And I agree, the look Jack had on his face when he felt Tosh trying to read his mind...

But Jack is dead to that much of an extent? I hope they explain how this works. The entire mystery with Jack is so amazing. I can't wait to see how it all works out.

And next week's episode looks awesome, too! I can't wait. biggrin

I really enjoyed this episode, it was much more my type than last week's. Can't wait to see how Jack's story gets played out.

Apparently in episode 12 they go back to the Blitz, and guess who's there...
That could prove interesting (Spoilers in white)

Loved it! I say that every week....

But yeah. We got Jack doing weird faces when Tosh tried to get in his head, Owen and Gwen being teenage at each other - always fun to watch and laugh at - and more fun stuff. biggrin

Did anyone else think the alien looked familiar? I couldn't stop thinking Zora when I looked at it...I need to get out more.

And I quite like the whole character of the week thing. More Jack episodes please!

And about the next one - Actually I'll put it in white just in case people don't want to know...
I've been saying to my family for ages that we'd get more from Suzie. Her file on the torchwood website is still locked, and Ianto's was the same until after the whole cyberwoman thing. I love it when I'm right.

I think this was the best episode so far. I ended up laughing out loud at the thoughts of Gwen and Owen when Tosh first hears them, but Ianto's were really sad.

The alien was amazing, really beautiful in a creepy way. AND you get a bit of Greek mythological education! I'd never heard of Philoctetes before now!

Brilliant episode and well done to all involved.

I know this thread is really old, but I just saw the episode last night.

The alien really was beautiful.

I especially liked the bit where Jack calls the Prime Minister and proceeds to majorly tell him off. xd

And poor Tosh, I know she doesn't like being pitied, but.... The way she scrunched up into a fetal position all covered in her blankets after she and Mary had sex really made me just want to give her a hug.

It wasn't my favourite episode, to be perfectly honest...
I liked the part when Tosh read everyone's minds, which was quite interesting.
Overall, though, I felt that it was lacking something.
Still, not bad; 3/5.
