Does anyone else here know that they almost made Shuichi a girl when they brought Gravitation to America? Yup it's true, they didn't want to shock the public but then decided it would ruin teh story, and he would have been one flat chested girl.

I hayte when they do suff like that. in Salior Moon zoycite was a guy turn girl from Jap to Eng, and they made Kurama from YYH into a girl in the spanish version. I bet they had a hard time sensoring the movies and dark tornament...

crying I hate that. Makes me want to cry. It seems that any time I see an english version of anime and there is a gay character in it, or even if it's just girly looking guy or something, they make him into a girl.

'Scuse me? XD Well, he might have made a good girl if he had boobs but SHU-CHAN IS NOT A GIRL! I think I heard somewhere on here in one store they kept refering to him a a she.

He does have a slightly girly face but that doesn't change the fact that he was created to be a guy. That's terrible! Changing a character's gender because of their appearance? At least it didn't happen. If it did, the story wouldn't really make sense either. I mean, half the time in the anime, Shuichi was really insecure about his relationship wondering if Yuki didn't like him because he was a guy. It was actually an important part of their rocky relationship. I don't know. It would just seem really weird if Shuichi had been changed to a girl.

i would have cryed for like ever. Yaoi is the best. and the story wouldn't make sence if he was a girl. I mean i tell my mom that so i can watch it sweatdrop

Shuichi.... Would have been a girl? *faints* That's what sucks. Things get lost in translation. *coughlicensingcough* Didn't that debate also come up with Haku from Naruto. Because of his almost love-like relationship for Zabuza, and cause he looked a lot like a girl? I'd like to see how they'd fix that, I'm a guy scene if they did that.

well, it's not that hard for me to see Shuichi as a girl, but i do see how that would mess things up. i can't believe they even thought about it. those losers. and the whole Kurama being a girl in the spanish version kindda makes me laugh. but they shouldn't do things like that. people should take things as theyare.

I see what you mean, but Shuichi has to be a boy. How he thinks is still like how a guy thinks, even if it's crowded with other things (like Yuki)

I hate the fact that they 'didn't wanna shock the public' If they don't like gay people or being gay then they have the option not to watch it! THey shouldn't change a character from they way they were intended just because he's gy or she's a lesbian. It's wrong and it's mean to the people who are gay, or bi(like me) or lesbian.

I totally agree with Kaos.That is totally wrong.Just like 4Kids TV.
They shouldnt be allowed to do that.I say we need to have a gay or bisexual president for the US!
THAT would fix it all!
