So, I've heard many different opinions on this subject. I currently have my tongue gauged to 6g, and I've never had a problem out of it. I've heard that after a certain gauge the hole will never heal, but I've heard the same thing about ears and thats only true to a certain extent, so what are y'all opinions on this subject?

I've never gauged my tongue, but I have always wondered about it though.
How does it look?
And uh, as for your question, I'm not sure I can answer it, sorry though.

With ears, I think it's about a 00 that your ears will never be the same afterward. or a 0. But I don't think it's the same with your tongue, considering the rate at which it heals itself. I doubt you'd want it as big as a 0, so you're good.

I have been thinking about getting my tongue pierceds, but... I doubt I'll be gauged to lower than... 14. xD That's just about personaly taste, though I have always wondered how it looks gauged to lower than 14. O: Pics plz. xD <3

My tongues a 6g it really doesn't bother me at all in my dailly life I just don't notice it unless I'm playing with it...

im not well educated by any means.
but one thing that comes to mind,
is ear lobes are dangly useless flesh,
whereas the tongue is pure muscle inside the mouth.
my guess is the 'point of no return' is probly bigger than that of an earlobe.
BUT this is all pure supposition and theory on my part.
