Okay, so who said that you had to dance at dances? Sitting in a chair in a corner, observing everyone and what they are doing is a perfectly acceptable form of enjoyment. I had fun watching the senior ROTC cadets do stupid things like serenade the girls on their knees--OKay, so the guys formed this line of linked arms or something, and were swaying back and forth in time to the music, and so did the girls, only in a seperate line facing the guys, and then the guys got down on their knees and grabbed the girls hands and serendaded them along with the song. That was funny, except they pushed me out of line so I was on the outside looking in as always. But anyways, the dance was weird cause everyone knew everyone else, except for the band people, and they probably thought we were nuts.
But anyways, dances seem overrated. I highly dislike the dancing style for fast songs, and for slow songs I danced only when people asked me to dance. You see, it all seems weird, jumping up and down and calling it dancing when elegant styles such as the waltz and the minuete and such things are being slowly forgotten.
Also, the music is always pumped up WAAAAYYY too loud, and everyone's all crammed together thinking they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Which they are not.
So discuss:
Dances
and everything involved in such an event.

I don't go to dances since in 8th grade one of the guys from my English class tried to dance with me. EWWWWW.

I went to a couple of dances in 7th grade as the yearbook photographer, and in 8th grade I went to the dances I could because I was ASB and therefore planned the event. I kinda had to go, since I planned it, so it didn't seem like I had planted a bomb in it. And then I went to this one, since it was really a required thing for one of my classes, and thus I had to be there.

I've been going to dances every other month or so for about 3 years now. Sometimes they're fun, other times I have wall-flower status.

I danced a grand total of 7 dances last night, and I had a fabulous time.

crying When I get asked out by people, I always have to decline since I can't take them anywhere (yet) and it would be pointless. >>

By the girl my friends tried to hook me up with.
Ok here's the deal. My friends hook me up with this girl, I yelled at them for doing it but whatever. So we get there and everyone at my school is perveted. The girls are all up on the men with their asses all over them. My friends then push me towards the girl and when I get there we see that she liffted up her dress and rubbed her asses all over the guy. We all stood there and my friends pushed me away saying if I dance with I would get raped.
But man, she was hardcore! I swear perveted all the way from head to toe.
