Well we have to play a Christmas concert every year then we get our regular music. crying

We play The Nutcracker Suite every year at our Christmas concerts. Gets boring and slightly annoying the second year you have to play it.

i played an x-mas song froshie and this yr (jr) and they are both different
i luved two yrs ago, it was russian x-mas music, prettyness razz

Our Christmas music changes every year but we have a really sweet version of sleigh bells that I love but my instrument also gets a solo on it.

This year is kind-of different, strange because we aren't playing as much as we usually do. I am sad because we aren't playing the Nutcracker this year, I was looking forward to it. We only have like...4 or 5 songs for Christmas this year eek

Well it really is traditional for the winter concert, so I don't really see why you're complaining. Unless it really is boring for you. Our christmas songs our cool. My sister when she was in 8th grade they broke down Frosty the Snowman on the snare. xD

HAHA, last year, our director was hesitant to play christmas music at our CHRISTMAS CONCERT.
His wife convinced him to make us play a christmas piece.
Guess what...
It was less than 30 second long compared to the 15 minute piece we were doing.

We're playing three for our concert:
A Jubilant Overture-- Alfred Reed
It's not really holiday-like almost at all, but its still really difficult.
Fantasia ona 13th Century Carol
This one's cool. It has a section where all the guys in the band sing, and that's all. (I hate singing...)
Good Swing Wenceslas
Arranged by Sammy Nestico, this one is pretty self-explanitory. I like it, since I'm a jazz player.

We're playing this really, really weird and pretty easy song called Celebration...it's so bizarre. Lots of ugly notes and this bizarre trill I can't play. Weird.
We've got some other cool pieces too though. Nightmare before Christmas and whatnot.
