Thanksgiving and Christmas(or the African, or Jewish equivalents) are known to be the times of the year, where people stuff themselves silly, and put a few more inches on their waist. Do you have any holiday dinner traditions, with your own loved ones? And what kind of dishes do you usually prepare?

Every Christmas morning, my family makes omelettes. It's been that way for...20 years? It's not anything special, but man, I love the smell of ham cooking up in the skillet with some onion...smells like Christmas!

My family is pretty much gone except for some brothers. One brother lives here near me, and my job at the dinners (turkey both times) is to make the gravy. LOL They have a couple friends over too, and they have their tasks... one brings homemade blueberry buckle, one brings crispy French bread, and I do the gravy. OMG that kitchen is small and crowded! My sister-in-law does the turkey and the mashed potatoes, my brother does a green vegetable, and if someone remembers (usually me) we have the best cranberry sauce. Only my brother and I like cranberries, so we stuff ourselves with it. It's a can of cooked, whole cranberries, a couple handfuls of English walnut pieces, and one jar of orange marmelade (a good brand). It's yummy!
