Spooky! gonk
I'm not big on Christmas music, atleast not the classical type, but I do find some of the rock variations to be enjoyable.
I can't seem to find any good radio stations around here though. So, it's either Christian music, oldies, classical, or country. I want some hard rock, or atleast something I can tune in and turn up. cool

I find to my annoyance that my favorite Raleigh station, 93.9, has gone all Christmas. razz I listen to 98.7 Simon where they do NOT play it & am very happy. Don't know if you can get that one, Joshoowah--it's a Piedmont station, but they "play everything" so you might try getting it. We had a radio station thread but I think it's deep down now. Check it out & see what stations members were talking about there if a diet of mostly 70's--80's rock doesn't suit you. I'm sure there's a hard rock station around the eastern NC area.

Thanks! I'll give that a look over.
I don't really mind any of the other music, but I hate how there's so much Rap being played on the radio. I personally don't like it very much. Actually, I think I might prefer to listen to some Christmas tunes over Rap. stressed

Ugh.... Christmas music.... I hear it everyday.... They've started playing it over the speakers at the Mall, and since I work at the mall (alot of the time all day) its all the music I usually hear.... I'm not the biggest fan of christmas music anyway.... Hearing it all day long can really burn you out on it... I still have my XM Radio in my car so I dont even really listen to local stations anymore. My current favorite on XM though has to be UPOP. Its a pretty cool station. They play alot of international stuff. Mostly music from the UK.

Since 98.7 Simon is so random, I'm hoping at most they will randomly drop a Christmas tune in between the regular fare.

smile Yep! I can remember times when they would have screaming arguements when I was little, but instead of divorcing to solve it, they worked through it all & stayed together. I think too many young couples give up too easily. So it's rough & unhappy? If the marriage is really a good one, it should withstand that until you get past the troubles. My parents are a very close & loving couple now. heart

Well, I am with family. My uncle, who I saw about a month after I got here, but hadn't seen since I was 7 prior to coming back stateside, lives down in Alabama. Unfortunately, I won't be seeing him for Thanksgiving, but maybe Christmas. And my grandmother lives way out in Las Vegas, so I doubt I'll be seeing her either. Although, I can't say I'm too disappointed about that part, as she tends to stick around for a bit too long. Can't blame her though, after all, she hasn't really seen her grandchildren all too often. confused
But! My father will be coming back from Kuwait a couple days after Thanksgiving, so we'll celebrate then... And hopefully get out to the beach after that, although it is getting a bit cold now.

If you guys aren't going to cook, I recommend hitting a Golden Corral or a Ryan's--Golden Corral is better. Their buffet is great & only gets better on Thanksgiving! Forecast looks decent for this weekend.

Have yet to go to either, so I'll definitely suggest that. Although, I think the folks would much rather cook whatever they bring. Doesn't matter all too much though, bloody Accutane's got me on a tight diet. stare

I'm cooking for Thanksgiving. Have older son and his fiancee, younger son, and one of their friends joining me and hubby. Three young adult males at the table. Hedged my bets and got a 22 lb turkey. Hope it's big enough! blaugh
