Hello i'm new to the guild. I have just recieved the invitation not very long ago. I also need some random advice.

Well, basically..
I do show choir. At our school, the arts is very popular..
Being creative is being popular. I absolutley love the arts; however, I have some idiots to deal with. When I sing, I usually don't carry any expression on my face, so they constantly bully me about that. Recently [yesterday], I went from having 2.5-3 inches of hair to having a "Shark" Faux hawk with a max of 1-1.5 inches on my head. The shark is just a name because the hawk continues all the way in the back.

So, here's my question..
How do I deal with them? I also want to act mature because that's basically how I am..
It's a highschool..some people just don't grow up. It's the real world now..

So, how do I deal with them?

This is more so a discussion thread, but I'll leave it here until it gets adequate response.

I also wouldnt call highschool the real world, the ones who grow up in highschool pretty much suffer, I know.

Honestly, it depends on how they are bugging you, are these other choir kids? Tell them to bugger off [******** off, whatever].

If they are really picking on you and making the some other kids turn against you I severely suggest sticking it to them, to do this the next time they give you a hard time [when no teachers or snitchs are around], make a crack at one of them or tell them to go suck on there mothers c**t, this is how the 'real' world deals with issues, they put them out in the open and they solve them.. whenever a person has no direct connection with another [like they arent an employee of the one being a bully or they dont have to worry about control from the person they are being bullied by], they stand up to the person.. unless the person could squash them like a bug or has a weapon xp Anyway, the point is just call them out on it, chances are, they will back down, then you can just keep calling them out.

If they actually have a backbone then you may begin a fight, if this happens.. fight, I dont know how weak or strong you are or how weak or strong they are, but I do know that the one with the will and the focused anger has a large advantage, thats Irish blood talking.

For instance, in 9th grade I accidently hit an 11th grader in the face with my trench coat while trying to get something off the wall [a sticky thing], anyways I hit him when he was behind me so he grabbed my arms and threw me against the wall [I didnt know he was there even after I hit them], from then on I was pissed, then when I went to go punch him some friend of his who was further down the hall ran up to me and grabbed my arms, so I jumped up and kicked the guy in the chest while his friend held my arms, after that they both ran away, one of them grabbed my trench coat and threw it in the trash; but what mattered was that I won the fight, or I didnt lose. [btw, these 11th graders were the biggest assholes in our school, part of the 'all-star' baseball team, one of them got a million dollar signing in the MLB last year after our school went the entire year without a single loss, Jackson Highschool from Washington].

Anyway, the big picture is, if you let people bully you around without taking any action to stop it [I dont suggest tattling on them, will only escalate there bullying], then you will live your hole life being able to be controlled by others- if I were you I wouldnt let that happen.

Also, if you dont have much strength, use tactics.. brains are better than brawns.

If you're a guy, beat the crap out of them.

That's how men settle things, FIGHT!

Then after the fight they become friends, or the bullying just stops.

Riiite, violence really solves problems, the world today really proves that.

I agree with Blood`Eternity's method, call them on it first. It tends to work, it's how I got some p***k to leave me alone when he was making fun of me, turned out he was just jealous because I was taller than him. Only resort to fighting if they start it first.

A lot of people are afraid of me.
..hahahaha..

Why you ask?
I play sick sadistic mind games all the time, I shop at Hot Topic, and they think some spirit thingy is over me or something. It's funny because all the super christians in our school want me to go to their church..

..Even though I go to church myself..

People are weird.

In little school debocles it does. Show them that you aren't there just for their pleasure of picking on you. Trust me, I've been through all this. Getting into a confrontation is pretty much the only way to solve things with meat heads.

Yea, don't get into any fights unless they start one. also, if you have any friends in choir, stick with them, get them to defend you when these guys are picking on you.

Or, be annoying as hell. Hahahahaha, it's called the "broken record" method, and no I did not just make that up.

for example everytime they said something, just be like "your mom"

just don't answer like that if they say something to make that sound stupid or pervish xp if that made sense sweatdrop

Um, if you repeatedly tell the guys "your mom" they will probably beat your a** into the next century.

I've also been a bully, and getting told "your mom" is the most irritating thing someone can do, I don't suggest it.

Yay for the arts! I love the arts.

As for these shenanigans [ha, I finally added that word to my vocabulary!], they need to get a life. Ignore them. Just think, "I'm awesome the way I am, it's too bad for them that they don't think so." lol. But don't act egotistical. That annoys everyone around you. lol.

I actually agree with that. I'm anti-violence but ********... that is seriously one of the most annoying things a person can do. I felt sorry for a kid that kept getting picked on UNTIL he started using the "your mom" thing all the time.

Pretty much what I've learned from my boyfriend is that you have to make them respect you. How? Be a smart-a**, you have to be quick and witty and tell them off in a way without cussing, you make them feel inferior to you and they'll have no choice but to respect you.

Ahh, the art of being a smart a**....

i think that should work, but I still think he should try to avoid a fight at all costs, but definitely retort with a smart-a** remark.

I agree with everything Blood just said. I'm just going to give an example backing up the "I do know that the one with the will and the focused anger has a large advantage":

I take Kung-fu & Kickboxing. I'm a brownbelt, after brown is black. When I signed up I was somewhat going towards the obese side. That place toughened me up a lot and got me in the best shape of my life. When I get in the ring, most of the time I kick a**. When I fight in the ring, I fight for many reasons. I fight to get better. I fight to learn how to defend me and those I care about. I fight to put my anger to good use in a positive manner; to learn to control it and use it to make me better. Hell, I fight just for the fun of it.

When I went for my brownbelt test on thursday, I knew it was going to be hard. I was WRONG. It was hard as hell. I was a bloody mess when it ended. But like our teacher said before it began "This is a test of character, as much as anything else". That day I had to fight bigger guys, faster guys, and even the CANADIAN KICKBOXING CHAMP!!!!!! But I somehow persevered through it all and it was worth it.

I know I got somewhat off-topic, but it was a good example right wink
