Ok. I basically copied the outline and filled it out...

NAME: ...don't ask him his real name. He goes by Ekai (eh-KAI, rhymes with eye)

BIOGRAPHY: He hatched in Egypt... part of a community of phoenixes like himself. Since there is only ever one mature male phoenix (the one the stories know... flames up and is reborn from ashes, etc.), when he matured at 100 years of age, his predecessor died for good. Granted, he liked the life--but after his first brood matured he decided it was time to see the world outside the community, at the age of 200-some. He wandered through a few cities in a human form (boy did he hate having black hair... thus his current flamboyance regarding appearance), before seeing a girl--poor, a prostitute's daughter--being harassed; he saved her. There was instant rapport, and they bonded. Ten years later, she died in an accident (which may have not been...) and in his sorrow, he volunteered himself to his gods to be placed in a form of stasis with four other 'mythical' creatures (which in itself is a story...). Several hundred years later, in 2127, he awoke... in the hands of a young mute orphan boy, Will. And thus begins his story...

AGE: Hmm... I'd say... 600 or so. He acts like he's barely 225 at times though...

HEIGHT: Whatever height he prefers at the time, but generally goes for 5'8" or about 173 cm.

WEIGHT: Again, shapeshifter, but he's lean enough.

BODY TYPE: He's lean but tough.

FACE TYPE: he generally prefers a rectangular face with a beaky nose.

COMPLEXION: golden tan

EYES: He loves having golden (firey yellow) or bright red eyes, but will go for gas-fire blue when he absolutely has to.

HAIR: It's usually shoulderlength, flares out at the ends, gold at the roots but gradually fades to bright red. He also has white feathers against his head, along his hairline. He's rather flamboyant when it comes to his hair.

CLOTHING STYLE: Red, gold, gray or blue tshirt, bluejeans. again, his clothing is part of his form, so he can change it at will.

SPEAKING STYLE: Oh, the sarcasm. heh, he tends to be blunt.

GENERAL DEMEANOR: Ever-changing. A great guy until you piss him off, and then he gets REALLY mad, and then he apologizes later. Doesn't hold a grudge. Sarcastic at times but not painfully so. Laid-back until you get him either riled, or on the subject of his family, or on the subject of Jelira, his first bonded...

CAREER: Right now, he's trying to deal with the culture shock.

PREJUDICES: hmm... I haven't yet seen him react as if he had one...

BEST QUALITIES: Resourceful, loyal once you have his trust, doesn't hold a grudge.

WORST QUALITIES: As quick to anger as forgiveness, a tendency to make snap conclusions (though he will later amend them if you convince him enough), a touch too flamboyant (he HATES to blend in unless he has to, and he will not wear anything but fire-colors, unless he has to, then he'll wear smoke-gray.

WEAKNESSES: Like I said, his volatile personality. And water. Ekai and any body of water larger than a puddle go together like... well... fire and water. Thank goodness he never needs to shower...

HOBBIES: hmm. he likes languages. he knife-fights when he thinks fire-powers or shapeshifting won't defend him, so he and Will practice against each other.

TALENTS: Shapeshifting. Knife-fighting. A power over fire that at times gets away from him.

Hmmmmmm... is that enough?

I think that this would be really interesting, (just a suggestion, you really don't have to follow it if you don't like it) maybe in the future he should fall in love again then have dreams of his love from the past and get really confused about who he really loves....

Sounds like you have the character pretty well fleshed out. Have you written anything for him yet?
