When did Veronica decide to go to Hearst? I thought she was planning to attend Stanford. They didn't really specify whether she won the Kane scholarship or not. Obviously she didn't, but I just wanted to know if I missed an episode where she actually states that she changed her mind.

It was pretty much inplied at the end of last season. She needed the scholarship to have the money to be able to go to Stanford. But what'shername won the egg contest and didn't even have to take one of her exams and Veronica ended up leaving one of her exams to see the verdict for Aaron's trial. So she would have gotten a 0 on that exam and, at least where I am, that would cause a drop in 15% of her overall mark. They never actually stated that she was going to Hearst, though.

Thank you for actually responding. rolleyes For some reason this guild seems to hate me.
I never thought of how that exam would affect her grade. Clever Canadian.
I just can't understand why she up and went to Hearst when she wanted to go to Stanford so badly. She was extremely excited when she was accepted.
And Mr. Mars bought her a car with the extra cash he got; why couldn't he have used some of that to pay for Stanford instead?

She did really want to go to Stanford but it was too expensive and they're a lower-middle class family. Maybe Stanford was ridiculously expensive and even the amount Kieth got wasn't enough to help much.
Also, Keith got the money after summer vacation had already started, so at least for me, acceptances to colleges and such would have already been done with by that time. So she would have already accepted her acceptence to Hearst and rejected Stanford. I could be wrong, but I don't think a college would take someone who rejected them after that stuff was all done, even if it was because of money issues.

Random, but it has the benefit of being true.
Although the preview for the next show didn't look so good. Was Logan a badder-than-usual boy? surprised
I was thinking of dedicating this topic to Hearst College, since my question was pretty much answered and I don't feel like changing the name of my thread. Anyone have an idea on what we could do?

Is anyone else here freaking about the next episode?
Oh and to answer your question that girl that won the egg contest was also one of the students in the whole faking anxiety attacks to get extra time on their assignments so she did have to take one of her exams without the extra time and I'm assuming she didn't know it very well and I'm thinking Veronica would've gotten the Kane scholarship had she not bailed on that test, but they kinda needed her to go to Hearst for the show's sake. You know so that they could keep a bunch of the characters together?

You know so that they could keep a bunch of the characters together? Thank you; that's a good point. The show would have ended if she'd gone to Stanford, unless they kicked everyone out except for her. Which would've sucked. A lot. It just irritated me that they didn't explain that fully. As I already said. A gazillion times. Thank you, though.
rhapsodyscacophony Is anyone else here freaking about the next episode? YES. I hope she doesn't become one of the victims. That would blow. Being raped again would just be one too many for Veronica.

I just really don't want that to happen to her again. I'm so freaking scared about that. I"m like killing my internet for spoilers having to do with that episode, but so far no go. I mean the rape thing is bad enough, why does the rapist have to shave their heads too? That just totally freaks me out. It's sadistic and psychotic. On a lighter note....What do you think the dean will do when he finds out his wife is cheating on him with that professor dude?

I suppose shaving their heads is the guy's trademark. You know, sort of like when murderers leave something behind to show it was them? Like in V for Vendetta. Except instead of leaving roses, the rapist steals their hair. I completely agree with you. This guy's a freak. I found a clip from the next show, but it was just the opening scene. No raping. http://www.cwtv.com/video?vid=204
rhapsodyscacophony On a lighter note....What do you think the dean will do when he finds out his wife is cheating on him with that professor dude? He'll probably go and decapitate him. The dean has a pretty vicious side to him, even though I'm starting to like him.
