Right, this may just turn into one big long rant, but it really bugs me.
I was sitting watching the music channels, just cruising for something to watch, and I came across 'The Hits'. I was about to hurriedly turn over and the channel loaded. . . and then I felt my stomach disappear.
Welcome to the Black Parade was playing. . . on The Hits. . . a channel famous for mainstream pop and RnB tracks. So what the hell were MCR doing on there? Don't get me wrong; I love that the boys are getting successful, and they ******** well deserve it, but many of the people watching it and, at times, calling themselves fans, have never even listened to a split second of any other MCR tracks and have no idea about the people and meanings behind the lyrics. Please don't tell me that the channels such as The Hits and 'Bubble Hits' (O_O) are turning My Chem into the next favourite band of all the chavmos out there.
I'll repeat: I love that they're getting successful (I think everyone here does). . . but they're getting successful to exactly the same people who, had they known any of the members in school or before they got big, would've probably hurled abuse at them.
Apologies for the rant-ness of this thread, but it had to be done.
