I don't know about yall, but it seems like 80% of the people in my band have no clue and don't care at all what happens in the football games. They could care less if the team wins or loses...This gets really annoying to me because I'm actually really into the game, and I have no one to discuss the game with stressed
What about yall? Does anyone else actually watch the game? Or is it just the people in my band...

We can get so into a game, unless it's really cold like it was at last's weeks game and we're complaining the whole time.

I personally don't care but some people in the band do. I like it when someone scores because of the kickoff. Before the ball is kicked we play random notes, when it's in the air we play Bb, and when the team is returning d-line plays something.

i want my team to good for the pep band's sake. the last game we played at, we didn't really play, b/c our team sucked. we only play when we do good (or when we do the foul note we the other team kicks off mrgreen )

Since our football team has a history of losing, no one really cared, we were just there to play, eat sugar, and scream for no apparent reason. This year, our team is actually winning games, so we're all getting into it-and I'm getting a crash course in American football. The clarinet I stand next to usually used to play football when he was in Texas, so he tells me all that I want (and sometimes don't want) to know. xd

Most of the people who aren't new get really into the game. Some just fool around and do crazy stuff (like dance the can-can to one of our cadences), and the rest *cough*freshman*cough* have no idea what the heck is going on or whether they're actually playing football or not. All they know is that they're at a football game playing music.
I get into the game most of the time. And since I know how to score and points of the game, I try and teach the new people. The people that do care get all crazy and cheer along with the cheerleaders' cheers and everything. Personally, I think a football game is as fun as you make it.

sometimes I feel really out of place when our team makes a bad play or something, and I'm really mad, but no one else gets it... stressed So I'm kind of forced to keep it to myself

Most of the guys care, as well as a significant number of the girls, too. The rest either have no idea what's going on or just don't pay attention.

i always pay attention and watch the game cause i know just about everyone on the Varsity football team. i have a few people watching with me, at least our drum major. otherwise the rest of the band isn't that bad. they aren't distracting.

My band cares badly...we get keys out for the key play (3rd down on defense)..we the band does..but the audience doesn't get it.....we just started it last year...and we cheer with the cheerleaders....but lately our team really sucks...they haven't won a game yet...so we really don't get as riled up as last year...it really sux sweatdrop gonk

ha, I'm beginning to change my mind...Just witnessed an amazingly embarassing loss on friday, and I don't think I really wanna watch us get murdered anymore, by teams that don't even have a win yet mad mad
