I've always liked to see other people's avatar edits, and see their creativity; when can see avatar edits of characters from movies, tv series, comic books... but the ones I've always enjoyed most are the original characters. Since my Halloween campfire wasn't that big of a hit, I've decided to try another one of these threads before I give up. Here is to post the stories of your original characters and the avatar edit that goes with them. The stories can range anywhere from a few sentences Ex: "Marrow-Gnawer united three nezumi gangs when he slew their leaders in a single night. Now they call him their first lord" -Marrow-Gnawer, flavour text to multiple paragraphs. So, go nuts!

*sits and roast marshmallows* I would tell you some of my own, but I don't have the visuals to share... I've made more originals for others than I did for myself. sweatdrop

Tharlennis is the fated reincarnation of the fabled hero Nerevar, friend of the Tribunal, gods of Morrowind. She is quite the unlikely hero. Tharlennis is far from virtuous, preferring to sneak up invisibly on foes and stab them in the back, and, failing that, levitate out of reach and throw lightning bolts at them. While Tharlennis has already fulfilled her destiny, she remains just what she is, an unlikely hero. She defeated the Tribunal's enemy, Dagoth Ur, with the aid of her enchanted ring, Tharlennis's Aid, and defeated the maddened goddess Almalexia mostly by running away and attacking briefly. While Tharlennis is, in the eyes of Vvardenfell's inhabitants, a hero, she is still far from being a good person. She readily deals in souls as well as illegal drugs, and adventures for personal gain. She is the Archmagistress of Great House Telvanni, a position she gained through the murder of Archmagister Gothren, as well as the Archmage of the Mages' Guild, a position she gained through an honorable duel. Tharlennis sees no problem with stealing the posessions of others, even those who cannot afford to have their posessions stolen. She is a member of the Thieves' Guild and of the guild of assassins, the Morag Tong. Currently, her personal quest for power has led her all through Morrowind's capital city, Mournhold, as well as to the frozen island of Solstheim. Tharlennis is also an excellent interior decorator. Her stronghold, the mushroom citadel of Tel Uvirith, is decorated inside with (stolen) oil lamps, soul gems, books, and artifacts. Certain artifacts she has even sold to Mournhold's royal museum, then stolen back. Currently, there has only been a single artifact that she has encountered and not stolen, and she only left that one behind because it weighed literally half a ton. Despite her many faults, however, Tharlennis does have some good points. She is a loyal member of the Tribunal Temple as well as the Imperial Cult, and often donates to the two religion's worthy causes. She also, unlike most Dark Elves, despises slavery, and often helps slaves escape at least as far as the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart, where the Twin Lamps can take them home.

I present myself as a mighty questie *bows* and bard at large......and now for one of my quests.....the abridged version *ahem* See there was this half drunk archeologist I met in the Red Feather Inn and Tavern.....and me being the questie I am......had the idiocy to listen to her ramblings as she then bestowed upon me the quest to find her a small snow globe. I ventured far and wide through the Coldwater Woods....and the Moonwood......and found a small wizards grove lit by torches with colored flames and gaurded by fiersome werecats.... eek Using a scribbled piece of paper the ranting crazy drunkard from the tavern had given me....I used the marked ruined and archaic looking circle, that had been drawn in the grass in the center of the grove (done in either blood or red paint.....but who cares), I transported myself (and one disposible hired henchmen xd ) to a wizard's labratory. Me being the mighty and powerful questie that I am blaugh ....I slew all demonic creatures therein.....those included mainly just violent elemental spirits, and some half invisible shadow creepers.....interestingly enough most similar in size and shape to better known Skrell.... I located inside one of the rooms, after unlocking it with a clever use of gongs hit in specific order.....the snowglobe (the gongs werent normal either.....when hit they made sounds of either panthers.....wolves.....bears......or dragons.....quite odd frankly...........) After this I went back to visit the crazy lady from the tavern..... she rewarded me with a ring that glows a soft pale blue light (perfectly worthless) and went to put the snow globe in a decent enough looking bucket of water up within her room...... O_o;; Curiosity got the better of me and I went up to her room and touched the now glowing snowglobe............... sweatdrop This transported me inside of the darn snow globe.......where I am forced to wander about being attacked by local dryads and drawfs who make their home there.....................

Mine (more to be added latter): Hans Gul-Thill, The Vampire Lord "(...)The men of the mountain tell the tale of a man beyond all evil that leads an army of darkness, and drinks the souls of all who venture into his lair. An improbably tale, but it would explain a lot non the less. I always loved a challenge." -Entry in the diary Celeste Paradise. Tara By-el, the Fallen Star "The only thing I need to know about love is how to destroy it." -Tara By-el to Celeste Paradise "Ask me no questions and I shall tell you no lies." -Tara By-el to Hans Gul-Thill

Shortly after I registered I created a character to pattern my avatar after, and that's him. His name is the same as my account, which translates roughly to "Manslayer Devil". He is an exile from his people for crossing through that planar gate to Hell in order to save his brother who was polymorphed into a hellhound by an archdemon. Crossing through the planar gate is taboo among his people because a human who enters Hell is irrevocably changed. Oni's hair and eyes were tinted bright red and he gained the ability to radiate heat from his body, even igniting himself without suffering permanent damage. Upon exile he forfeited his given name and took on Battousai Oni as a way of accepting what he had become.

*coughs*Yes, well... I'll make an edit featuring her full armour later. Meet Kyuumu (forgive me, my spelling's really rusty... I don't remember the exact spelling). Kyuu's history is spotty, but what is know is this: The jewels she wears on her wrists, ankles, forehead, and neck are keys to summoning full body armour. Kyuu discovered these jewels in a box bought from a small goods stall set up at a weekly market. Upon their discovery, she tried them on. Curiously, once on, the jewlery refused to come off. While not uncomfortable, Kyuu was dismayed at the thought of wearing these shackles for the rest of her life. She made plans to find the nearest blacksmith the next day and then retired for the night. When she awoke the next morning, the world had changed. Kyuu had become trapped in a world unlike any she had seen before. As she stared at the strange world around her, she was attacked by a band of soldiers who mistook her for the enemy. In reflex, her jewelry began to burn, then emit a glowing liquid-like substance that flowed out and over her body as if made of water. The substance hardened, then segmented, forming an almost impervious armour. . . (In this image, you see the armour just beginning to form. Unfortunately, due to the extreme temperature of the armour when it begins to form, Kyuu is in constant need to replace her clothing... poor thing.)

This is a character I drew a couple months ago. I decided to turn her into an avatar edit, but she has no name! I could use some suggestions! A cold-hearted and silent sorceress born during a time of wizardry and magic, she lived in solitude and to this day it is not known how she died. But the time of sorcery faded for reasons just as mysterious. The magic-users continued to exist, but in a severly less quantity. Blind since birth, she focused her mind power and also became telekinetic. Her sight hindered her from movement (as she could not see what was where), but her psychic abilities also allowed her to sense emotion. Specifically, emotions directed at her. As a result, she could see people and animals to some extent, but not inanimate objects. Flash forward into the present. A young girl and her secret crush are attacked by powerful magic-user. As her friend is beaten, the girl's rage calls upon her previous incarnation: the sorceress. The girl's body transforms into its former physical self, and the cold-hearted sorceress takes over and wins the battle. Now the once normal girl finds herself with two new abilities: the power to awaken her previous incarnation, and her new uncontrollable psychic powers.

As promised: Kyuu's full armour sans helmet (I don't have a design for that yet, but it forms from those ribbons). I pulled her hair up so you could see everything. It's a very simple looking articulated armour. If you look at her left arm (it should be the right arm, but I wanted to use the arm that showed), you can see a dark stain. This is the result of a poison that Kyuu received in battle. From that moment, every time she uses her armour, the stain (and the poison) spreads further.
