Raeli's Journal
Please note that this journal started out with me as the orb owner, but later changed to Finch being the owner. This was because of schooling issues and because it was easier to write entries and roleplay replies using an OC rather than myself.
This journal is a record of Raeli and his Care Taker; Finch Roswood.
Please do not post in this journal without asking me for permission first. The only exceptions are staff members.

Appearance:A tall, thin young bloke, though there's a hint of muscle. His eyes are a blood red and his straight black hair falls about ear-length. He's usually found wearing dark colours or a white dress shirt, dress pants and formal shoes. In most cases he wears a black jazz-style hat with white red pinstripes. He has his ears pierced in several places and two lip rings on his lower lip(both on the left side). He aslso has a large cross scar on his chest from and attempted exorcism, thus resulting in his fear of priests.

Personality: Finch changes between childish and serious a lot of the time. One minute he may be giggling like mad and the next he’d be pouting with jealousy as silent as you get. The main reason for this was because he didn’t really have a childhood.
Background: Finch was born way back in the 16th century when death rates were at their highest and common during child birth. His mother was one of those. His father spent every penny trying to make his son's life better than his own. When Finch was 15 years old his father died.
Finch was bitten by a blood-sucker on his 16th birthday while he was asleep in an ally. He didn't have a home anymore and was weak from a lack of food, which made him an easy target.
Most of Finch's life was spent on the streets. He could no longer die from lack of food or clean water, so it made things a little easier to handle.
He managed to get rich over time, because when you're a vampire, time is no longer an issue. He bought and co-owned a mansion with one of his girlfriends until she ran off with another man. After a few years of starvation, he finally left his home and all his belongings, only taking with him enough money to survive. He started out once again earning little money to survive, refusing to touch the money in his bank account.
He soon met up with two brothers, Mercutio and Niro, who turned out to be the siblings of his ex. He befriended them both hesitantly, but over the time he spent with them he learned to care about them.

Merethist - I like Mere. Fun to be with, though I must say is a little... strange?
Jynelle - My best friend in the whole of Gaia. She's great to hang with.
Natsuo and Youji - I don't see 'em that often. I'm not sure if they actually like me or not, but until I find out for sure, I'll consider them friends.
Dragul - She's an interesting character. Childish, perhaps, but interesting none the less.

Day 1 - What's this?Dear Spider,
upon hearing your troubles in the real world I have sent one of my own to watch over you, but you must take care of it in return. Enclosed in that box is a orb shaped crystal that will show you your dreams and solidify them into a guardian. I will be paying you a visit during the week.

Those were the words that I read on a letter that came early this morning. I looked down at the package that the letter was attacked to. A little box marked as fragile. The first thing that crossed my mind was that this was some kind of ridiculous prank to see how gullible I was. I opened the box anyway, and sure enough there was a little crystal orb resting gently in the bottom.
For a few minutes I sat there gazing into the box resting on my lap. I wondered if I should take care of it, as the letter instructed, or if i should just let it be. It was a tough decision to make, and I wasn't sure if I was ready to make it. Without thinking I carefully took the orb out of the box for a closer look. I held it at eye level and studied the surface. After a few seconds the orb erupted with vibrant colours, giving my a sudden shock that almost made me drop it.
The orb itself seemed to glow a bright pink, while an orange mist danced around in the center. It was truly a wonder beyond my belief. I decided then and there that it was my responsibility to take care of this little crystal as best as I possibly could. That was the day a simple little orb changed my life as I knew it.

Day 2 - Is this real?
I woke up this morning with the alarm clock screaming loudly in my ear. I sat up and gave a yawn while I stretched my arms. As I turned my alarm off I noticed bright colours sitting next to it in a little basket lined with fake fur.
"That's right!" I said remembering the package I received yesterday. It seemed more like a dream than real life, yet there it was, as clear as day.
I was happy it wasn't a dream, but a bit down because I wasn't sure how to watch over it all the time. I have to work on weekends and I have school in between. I was on holidays at the time so I had a week to think about it. I also thought about how I was going to take care of it. How do you look after an orb? It seemed ridiculous to think you could. An orb is an object not a creature.
I read through the letter again while I was having breakfast. The goblin king was coming to visit? Would I be here when and if he comes?
I re-read the letter several times, trying to make a bit more sense of it. A million questions formed every time I read it. What were my dreams? What were the troubles the orb was sent here for?
Only one question puzzled me beyond extent.
What had I gotten myself into?

Day 3 - Why am I so attached?
2 days had passed since I received the package containing the orb. I've felt some kind of attachment to the crystal, like I knew it as well as I knew myself. But how much did I know about myself? This orb is quite strange indeed. Just the night before I got up for a quick drink. I thought I left my lamp on because my room was filled with light. But then I noticed the light was magenta and realised it was the orb. I looked over to the basket to see the orb hovering above it's 'bed'.
When I came back from the kitchen the orb was no longer hovering and the glow had faded to where it only lit up the basket. Had I woken the orb when I got up? Was it awake now, with the smaller glow? Did the glow actually mean anything? It was quite strange.

Day 4 - Time ticks on
The orb rarely leaves my side anymore. I keep it in my satchel when I leave my apartment and I make sure it's in it's basket when I'm home.
For some reason I've even had the urge to read my books aloud, almost like the orb wants to listen to the tale.
I also noticed a slight humming sound, which I'm guessing is coming from the orb. Oh! Wonderful news arrived too! One of my friends, Finch, is coming home from his trip around the world! I'll finally have someone else to care for my little crystal while I'm not around.

Day 5 - Another to care
Finch came home today! I woke up at lunch time to the smell of soup cooking. He wasn't meant to come home until tomorrow but he told me he was bored and just wanted to be among the people he knew again.
He was a bit confused when I finally told him about the orb, and at first he didn't believe me. I brought it out for him to see and as soon as I entered the room with it the orb hummed louder and glowed brightly, the mist inside swirling faster than usual.
I took it to mean the orb was exited about meeting him as the changes faded after a short while. Finch agreed to look after the orb, as it seemed to amuse him with the colours and humming and he couldn't wait to see what my dreams were.

Day 6 - Did I do something wrong?
I went out today to grab a few things from the shop that we'd run out of. When I came back Finch was asleep on the couch and the orb was in the kitchen area in the basket. I didn't notice anything different until I finished unpacking the plastic bag I put next to it. Orange mist floated around the orb as it hovered gracefully in the air.
Finch claimed he knew nothing about it and says it was fine when he last checked it, so was this a good thing or did I do something wrong? Either way I guess I'd find out.

Day 10 - The forming dream...
This afternoon I got a call from Shandi. I'd sent her and Finch away with my orb to a place where all the owners were meant to gather. I was unlucky enough to have important events and assignments to attend to, so I couldn't go myself. I would have just sent Shandi, but Finch was getting a little annoying now that Shandi's brothers have moved in as well.
I havn't really written in the journal for a while have I? Well, Shandi is one of Finch's old girlfriends. She moved in a short while ago so I wouldn't be living alone with Finch. Her brothers are Niro and Mercutio. They call themselves twins, but they have different mothers. Strangely they were both born around the same time on the exact same day of the exact same year. Niro is only half related to Shandi and Mercutio. You can tell because they have blond hair while he has black.
Anyway... Back to the phone call I got. When I picked up the first thing I heard was a little humming and a small crash. The next thing that came through the ear-piece was Shandi yelling, "Raeli! Do be careful! There are a lot of dangerous things around! Hello? Spider is that you?" I was a little confused at first, but then Shandi started to explain to me about how the orb had 'hatched' into a little pink and orange creature.
After that Niro grabbed the phone off me and I heard nothing more about it because he hung up after having a long conversation with his half-sister.
