Day 1 - An orb? For me?
I was surprised to see a package at the door addressed to me. I havn't told anyone where I was staying. All I could do was look at the orb blankly. It was made of crystal, and was a little heavy. I picked the orb up to examine it closer and got a shock when a short screech came from it and the transparent sphere filled with colour. I took another look at the note I got with it and nodded. "This must be what happened to Spider too." I said aloud, forgetting everyone was asleep.
The next thing I knew Niro was sitting beside me. "That was loud. I wonder if it meant something." He said as if he'd been there the whole time. I hated it when he did that. He'd always sneak up behind me and pretend he'd been there for a while. I can tell when he is around though. He has this particular scent about him. Like the smell of a rotting corpse mixed with the glorious smell of chocolate and cakes.
Spider gave me this journal to write in. She told me I should keep it safe and record everything I can in it, because that way I'd remember every day in detail. I can't really write in detail, so it might not work, but it's worth a try.

Day 2 - Another day...
I havn't slept much lately. I've been thinking to much about the orb and the Goblin King. This really means a lot to me, getting the orb. I'm surprised I've been given an orb. When I meet him, I must remember to thank him.
Not much happened today. Though I guess I can't really say that, because I already know what these orbs are capable of, so none of this really comes as a surprise.
Although, now that I think about it today was the first time the orb has moved. I fell asleep for a few hours with the orb on the coffee table, and woke to find it in my lap. After a couple of minutes the little crystal started moving around again. It was quite interesting to watch.
I also found out just a few hours ago that it likes music. I put on some spiritual type music which it seemed to 'dance' to in it's own kind of way. It truely is a beautiful gift. I can't wait to find out what form it will take on.

Day 3 - Already close.
Today Raeli and Finch came back to Spider's to pick up some stuff. I still remember Raeli's reaction to find another orb in the apartment. It was insane. Raeli just glared and buzzed his little wings at the orb. The crystal seemed a little shy. It approached carefully before rolling off into another room when Raeli gave a little hiss. I couldn't find the poor thing until a few hours after they left again.
Anyway, other than that everything was pretty normal. I was told that as well as glowing most orbs give off little noises, however this one doesn't. I don't suppose that means there something different about it does it? The orb hasn't left my side the entire time it's been here. Of coarse that's not counting the little encounter with the jealous Raeli.
I am fond of this orb already, even though it's been only a few days, I can't help but feel happier when it's around. But then. I guess my main problem before it came along was the feeling of loneliness that consumed me. Oh well. That doesn't matter now. As long as I'm happy I don't mind.

Day 4 - My orb and Me.
I went for a walk with Finch and Raeli to the park today. For most of the time my little crystal stayed in my hand, still afraid of Raeli. However Raeli has come to accept the orb now, I think. He wanted to play with it when we got to the park. Either that or he intentionally wanted to get it lost. Well whatever he wanted to do, Raeli and the orb seemed to enjoy themselves.
My orb still hasn't made any noises. The only one I've heard was the screeching when I picked it up for the first time. I keep wondering what my dreams are, though really I should know myself. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out.
I was flicking through Spider's music collection today. The orb seems to like two artists more so than others. Enya and Clannad made the crystal happily spin in time with the music. I've decided to test out some more music when I get the chance, so I can find out more about what it does and doesn't like.

Day 5 - Save me from my sibling!
I decided to call the orb Jynelle. Yes I know it's a girl's name, but that doesn't matter. Spider owns a winged male fox called Natasha, so I don't see why I should mind. But anyway my point is, I gave it a name.
I haven't gotten around to the music idea yet. I hope I remember soon. I want to get to know my orb as best as I possibly can. Not to mension the kind of music I'll be looking at will scare Niro off for a short while. He can be such a pain.
Oh, the colours have been glowing brighter too. Apparently it's supposed to mean it's happy, but I guess I can't say for sure now can I? I can't wait till my little darling grows. I hope it's soon. Niro hasn't been drinking lately, meaning he's been absolutely hyper.

Day 6 - Stranger things have hapened.
I've given up on the music idea for now. I guess when Jynelle learns to speak she could tell me her/his self. Anyway, I'm not really sure what to say. The orb is still glowing, and thats about it.
Oh wait! That's right! I found a little crack in the crystal not long ago. I'm not sure how it came about, or if it has anything to do with the glowing, but it was DEFIANTLY not there before. I'm a little worried, because I'm not sure if it means there is something wrong, but it seems as normal as ever.
Still likes spinning and moving in time with the music. I wonder if my Jynelle shall become a dancer?

Day 7 - Dreams appear
I can barely believe it! Jynelle hatched! She's taken a new form. Quite an interesting one at that. She appears to be some kind of wood nymph or something. It's truly amazing. I woke up to find the little thing curled up beside me. She gave me quite a shock when I woke.
I'm slightly concerned about her though. She still hasn't made any sound. No singing, calling, mumbling. Nothing. Do you think it is possible that Jynelle is mute? I wish I knew the answer. Then I could stop stressing if it was nothing.
She's quite a lively little creature. She loves to play with Raeli and dance around the room when she's got nothing to occupy her. She's a lot of fun to have around.
