What you need to know about H.A.M.
What is H.A.M.?
H.A.M. (Honorable Association of Merchants) is a guild dedicated to keeping prices at reasonable levels. How many times have you seen a recent donation letter go for over 6k? Or how about a newly released item sell for 19k a piece?! It's insane, I tell you! It has to stop, and the only way for that to happen is for the (admittedly few) decent merchants left out there to band together and refuse to fall to the overinflation. That is the essence of H.A.M.
What do you guys do?

Most H.A.M. members have shops to keep up, auctions to attend to, and vend pages to vulturize.
When we're in the guild, we like to discuss the state of the Exchange, what business is like these days, and yes, we brag about what items we got at what prices. But this isn't just a business guild--we're here to have fun too! There are several events in planning at any given time and most have nothing to do with money, so it's a welcome break! ^_^
How can I join?
Give me cookies.
Erm, I mean, you can PM either the Princess or Icy for joining info, but sometimes you will get an invite to join. Consider it an honor to be invited here, as that means one of us saw you at work and believes that you would make an excellent Honorable Merchant. Yes indeedy. 3nodding And when you join, you get a spiffy little membership card to put in your shop for all to see. Rawr.
I saw something about charities.

Yes, from time to time we will come across a charity that is to our liking... That is to say, one that we approve of in EVERY WAY! No one-month-old charities either. Anyway, when we choose one, we become affiliates through the time-honored and holy union of linktrimony. And they get a spiffy little card that says we're pals. Kewl.
What about quests?
Until the guild quests appear (which they may not), the only quests we support are those of active members. They fall under the same rules as the charities, and no halo quests, please. Not unless you're at least halfway there.
Anything else?
Not yet. I'm getting carpal tunnel from typing so much. xp

H.A.M. Rules and Regulations
No flaming.
No spamming.
No bothering the mods for crap.
No begging to be a mod. I will mod-ify ( xd ) you when I see that you are reliable and trustworthy... and assuming we don't have too many already. sweatdrop
You can't have my cookies.
You can't have my shiny.
No messing with the honorary members. They were invited here for many reasons untold, so be nice or I'll get my stick! evil
Your shop does NOT have to be a huge venture, or one that is uber old or uber successful. All that you must do is keep your items at reasonable prices. And not tick me off, which isn't easy to do.
No starting potentially damaging rumors. Rumors about the purple box will be kept to the absolute minimum, until more information is released.
Quit poking me.
ANY AND ALL FLAME WARS WILL BE DELETED AND THE MEMBERS INVOLVED SUSPENDED! NO EXCEPTIONS!
If you sign up for a job, do it. Don't "forget" about it until two days after it is requested of you... 'cause that's just dumb and irresponsible. Come on, that'll get you fired in real life! neutral

Thread-Making Rules!
You can make your own threads here, but they must:
Be related to the Exchange, this guild, or something like that. If you have a killer idea that just HAS to be here, PM me and I'll sort it out with you.
Be correctly typed. One or two errors is fine, or a commonly misspelled word (like misspelled). but if u typ liek tihs im guna delte it!!!!11
Not have text tHaT nObOdY cAn ReAd or BE IN ALL CAPS or 1337. It's one thing to type a random comment or mimic a n00b that way, but don't type it all out like that.

It's come to my attention that, uh, some members haven't posted at all. EVER.
What is it? Fear of public speaking? Aversion to words that start with"G"?

Look, if people who never post do not do so within the next week or so, they will punished. I'm sorry, and I really don't want to do it, but this is ridiculous!
