3. No Monster may be domestically kept without an official certificate.
4. No Empyrean below Stage 2 may talk to or with an Outsider.

CraftingNotes:(sloppily scrawled, as if jotted down in a hurry)
Technorings-- assign--one per--
(More neatly)
-Technoequips that can't be directly contacted~> place hand a safe distance away, line the center of your palm up with the ring shape on the Technoring. Then, in a distinct and intentional gesture, tap air twice. Intention and Essence will carry signal to ring.
ArtNotes:-golems
-start with inspiration
-each Golem is different, because different Shards offer different qualities, or different combinations of qualities
Euphoria
Almost independently of her free will, her creature took shape. Sinews of shadowflesh covered an overlong and luminescent spine (mother-of-pearl or some light green, she thought absently), which tapered at the end into a thin and almost whiplike tail, but for the golden-and-silver crescent that interrupted it at the very end. (Scorpion-like, perhaps?) The thing knelt, one humanoid hand over where its heart would be...and there, within its chest, what appeared to be a gold-and-glass ball, containing a swirling and convulsing light, causing the creature to faintly glow a warm and steady purple (force fields, she wrote, telepathy, agility). Then, somewhat incongruously with the rest of her little creation, she added a set of small feathered wings, coloured black with golden tips. Strength...she thought, hastily adding the word down, strength of spirit, strength of mind, strength of soul. Flight. Motion. Beauty.
MathematicsNotes:-specific Numbers each have meanings, and power they can influence over other aspects
-The Minimum number of squares within a magic square is nine, but you can go infinitely larger.
-15 equals 6. You reduce the number by adding its component parts, 1 + 5 = 6.
-All skills, especially magical ones, consist of two parts. A Required Part, and an Augmenting part.
PhilosophyNotes:
-Worship
-patron saints prayed to in times of need
-A God's power is derived from those that follow it, but not false worship
-There has never been a faithful who became a monster when it died
-Jesu: Christianity; now malicious, Outsiders
Rhetoric (Tutoring)Notes-The Chakras are where the essence stores itself in our bodies. There are seven Chakra: Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Voice, Mind's Eye and Crown. Each governs the use of essence in different ways.
-Focussing Essence through your throat Chakra enables you to infuse your communication skills.
-Generally focusing your Essence through a chakra not beneficial to the task you're attempting wearies you, but does not lend any beneficial effects to the task at hand. To continue to do so would tire you out, exhausting your ability to manipulate your chakras until you rest.
-focusing through meditation: the act of clearing the mind and centreing the soul, and thereby reaching inner peace.
~other methods: guided or personal imagery, artistic states, music, and stone work.
-You might be able to clear your mind with force, by focusing so intently on clearing it that all else is shut out, but it prevents the Chakras from flowing freely and can block them. Blocking energy in your chakras can cause illness and imbalance.

-
NEEDS TO BE HEARD TO HAVE EFFECT; headphones
-net ~> radius; area of effect
-high octaves more effective on outsiders; low octaves more effective on monsters (octave= ascending or descending notes of a scale)
Animal CareNotes:-Graphtas, a Rakshasa:
~a Rakshasa can only speak in his own voice and only in his own tongue when in disguise.
~When in true form can choose to speak in any language he's bothered to learn.
~Rakshasas can mimick the appearance of anything roughly their own weight and size.
~Cannot become something with moving parts, like mechanics or technoequips
~Honourable, most; complete the job they're paid for. No loyalty to one side or the other. Take no sides. When a job is finished, the information they have gathered is given to the employer. It is not spoken of again.
~ BUT there are those few who will sell information for the right price.
~can turn to any form that they've seen the all sides of. A hologram is enough, but many prefer to see their subject in moving for copying body language.
~Lesh Tarr is their only city
~ No female Rakshasas; couple with monsters or Outsiders
~live for about 50 years
-Nata'ala, a Bael
~Bael invisibility is a natural state of their biorhythms and is maintained by healthy blood levels.
~A Bael can break out of its natural invisibility by making a conscious effort to produce a hormone similar to adrenalin. The hormone permeates the air around them, cutting through and offsetting the other naturally occurring discharges of their blood, creating a hum, and then visibility. The crack is the sound of a Bael opening their wings suddenly.
~ Cannot speak
~typically found in rocky and high-altitude places, such as the mountains beyond the Crater, and also in the stone ruins left behind by the ancestors of both Empyrean and Outsider.
~ leave many traces to mark their location - bits of reed and gathered grasses, hoarded mushrooms, beetles and grubs that they eat, and of course their nest beddings and hollows they dig out of the stone to make enclosures to hide in.
~typically quite shy creatures and are rarely malevolent to us.
~it seems that when in their natural invisible state, the Bael's senses are somewhat altered, allowing them to 'see' paths of motion and parabolas of chance. Whether the excessive blinking is a product or function of constantly 'refreshing' the images of pathways of the subjects they observe or whether it is not an ability they continue to possess in their visible state and the blinking is an attempt to adjust to that sudden lack of stimulus is unknown as of yet.
~the Bael cannot make others invisible by touching them or willing them to be invisible. It's the blood that holds the properties of invisibility, so, we can achieve potions in Cooking that allow us to affect temporary invisibility when ingested. The effects only last for twenty to thirty minutes, as your body digests the potion, and it can be very uncomfortable to pass, but it is the most fool-proof method of achieving invisibility that we have. It can't be broken by disenchant and spell-breakers, as it's not a magic per say. It can't malfunction or short out like technoequips can have the habit of doing, since there are no mechanics involved.
~You only need a small vial of blood - 10 to 15 ml - to make one potion.
ScienceNotes: -Castor shell Number Thirty-Five, The Infrared Flare
~Useful by enabling all those within a ten foot radius of the Caster to see in the dark unimpeded, and without the need for cumbersome headgear.
~The distance each person can see is limited to their normal range of distance in vision under normal circumstances, but those outside of the ten foot radius cannot see in the dark as you can unless they step into that outer limit of the Caster Shot's effects.
~No other colours are available. The Infrared is actually a lower wave on the light spectrum than the visible spectrum. The magic of the Caster Shot alters this light into a format that our eyes can see and comprehend.
-There are some 93 different Caster Shells currently available. They come in a few different types:
~Radius Shells take an effect on a certain area of space
~Shot Shells which direct themselves at a specific location or target
~Blast Shells which deliver magic damage at whatever they hit, and the like.
-Each Shell has a rating, from 0 to 3. These ratings correspond directly to the Stage an Empyrean needs to be to legally use said Shell in duel or battle.
