Post your anime conventions experiences here, whether it's good or bad. Also, you could post anything that deals with any anime conventions, like dates and etc.

Arkke Anyone going? I am. I don't wanna be lonely. crying But really, me as well as some friends of mine, who all play Gaia, will be at A-Kon 16 in Dallas this June, where there will be a Gaia panel... with admins! whee So, yeah, if anyone else goes, it'd be really neato to meet ya at the panel (I'm already met some of ya at the Gaia Meet/Greet @ Ushicon). Sir Ichigo 30-year-old gay men in Sailor Moon T-shirts are your friends. Nice-looking highschool guys will stalk you, harrass your friends until they get your phone number, and then be beaten up by your butch lesbian friend while the Sailor Moon guy cheers her on. Ah, the stories Ichigo tells. They are amusing in nature. I've never been to a convention, but I might get the chance to go to one in August. I hope it'll be fun. And that I don't get lost. And that my older sister doesn't spend all the money in the first five minutes.

AN'05 was KICKASS!
I wore a Chinese dress ->See here and people kept on trying to get pictures of my friend and I. I got a coloured Kira print for 6CDN, and a package of hand-drawn tarot cards.
I saw a lot of weird things as well, like the blackcat from Trigun, and a Chocobo+moogle cosplay (So cute). There was a Naruto photoshoot that ended up oh-so-Yaoi, but I won't go into details unless you want me to. xP

Itachi+Sasuke photo= ended up with Itachi making Sasuke wear handcuffs (yes, HANDCUFFS) and going ontop of him.
Sasuke+ Naruto= Sasuke yells "GET ON THE FLOOR"

God, I hate that yaoi cosplay s**t.
I'm still really bitter about my experience at Fanime. It's wound up on FandomWank so far. Uh, yey!

I went to SakuraCon this year (it's by Seattle). It was pretty cool. An old friend of mine whom I hadn't seen from the 6th Grade - high school was there. I always thought he was a good Christian, but he had my friend's 18-year-old cousin buy him some hentai. It really shocked me. And he told me that he already had a bunch at home and knows great ways to hide them. And he was perfectly fine with it and wasn't ashamed at all. I guess he just isn't the same guy anymore....
I was going to go as Chouji, but my arm wraps (I used some of my dad's gauze) were crap and I didn't wear them, I forgot to do the swirls on my cheeks, and I didn't want to wear my headband because it was hot. So, I basically didn't dress up.
Jak Sacul went with me and he told me that once, when we got seperated, he was talking to this big guy who told him he was on Gaia. Jak said he was going to tell the guy who he was, but then the guy said that he hated all those damn comic elitists in the AMC who always "******** everything up." (For those of you that don't know Jak, he's one of those damn comic elitists.) Jak said he just kind of nodded and walked away. He didn't want to get his a** kicked.
