First of basic sketch of a the Human Pre-island. He would be a college student without too many friends who is a rather big gamer, both table top and online. He is also a bit of a furry fiend and a cos-player.

He finds out about the island while looking for a new Con. Somehow gets a little bit confused about what it is exactly just understanding that it is a "Tropical Island Vacation" with a bit of a Furry Themed convention there as well. So he signs up, gets his costume and his gamer supplies and heads off.

Ok, first off...

Please flesh out the character. There's no meat to him at all. We just have a very rough idea of who he even is. Give us his age, his appearance, his likes/dislikes, interests, personality, backstory, etc. All this is needed to truly make a solid and realisitic character. All I know is he likes to play tabletop RPGs and is into furries.

Second, I don't think the island would advertise it so openly to the public, even if at a convention. You need to make a bit more personal and isolated. Plus, there needs to be some particular reason why they would select him out of everyone else as Moreau monitors and screens every possible subject with care. There needs to be a certain flare or reason why Moreau would want him.

That's all I can offer to you as of now. But please take a look over all the other Quest Threads and notice how extensive their info goes with the characters. Don't let this discourage you either. But if you want to make it to the island, you need to make a very fleshed out character. Also, look over all the info listed throughout the Questing Guild so you get a more solidified idea as to what to do.

I -severely- doubt Moreau has a webpage explaining what he's doing at -all- -anywhere- on the internet. He does -not- want to be found out and shut down, and having a webpage about it that some average joe can find would be ridiculous.

Mixture serums, such as those you would need for either a Griffin or a Jackalope are rarely given out, and incredibly expensive even if they are. I hope you have a lot of spare cash lying about if you're serious about that.

There should also be -reason- behind your character. You know, motivations. Why did Moreau pick him? Why did he want to turn him into whatever creature? Who -is- your character anyhow?

There are characters on the island already who are gamers, so I wouldn't focus on that as a selling point. The furry thing is a slightly interesting idea, but we need -more- in order for it to be interesting at all.

As mentioned, you give no indication of who your character is at all. You just listed off a couple of interests of his and a very badly thought-out plan for him to get on the island.

I'd suggest reading all the informative files in the Quest forum, and looking through other quest threads as well as the journals of the characters already there for ideas.

Perhaps its a invite to a 'Rsvp furry convention' that arrives through the mail? Perhaps the said character signed up for some anime news magazine of which feral labs scanned the subscriptors for potential subjects?

My best advice to to flesh out the character and give it as much detail, information and life as you can.

Give your character a personality and a history. If your serious about getting to the island, then show us by putting your heart and soul into the character.
