A few years ago the band was on a road trip a comp far away (the city name escapes me) and after a while we just had to stop somewhere to go use the bathroom. The only thing nearby that was large enough to hold of us without disrupting the entire store was a Home Depot. We only had our pants and marching shoes on (no coat, we call it half-dress), so we basically stood in line while people and employees stared at us in our pants/suspenders combo. redface The weirdest place you've had to wear your uniform?

The library. I was changing for the parade which started across the street from it and people stared at me as I walked out of the bathroom. One little kid pointed at me and said, "Look Mommy, it's a Power Ranger!"
My response?
Drum major salute with the cry, "It's morphin' time!" (our in-joke for the year) rofl

It wasn't a guard uniform but it was a dance costume for a modern solo and so I was in a one peiced body suit that was like black and red and the likes and it was all swirled and I had my face painted to match it I went into a wendys with just my warmup pants on. Also after I performed I couldn't walk around the venue/auditorium for long because it scared little kids. xp PICTURE. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b48/sexychick56/Solo1.jpgI couldn't paint my face that day cause I had a quick change to a ballet routine, aka 3 mintues to get into my ballet costume tights and be back stage to perform.

A McDonalds going home from a game up in Jacksonville (never want to do that trip again, well not on a school bus that the driver gets lost...), we all went in and we packed the entire place. I'd almost hate to see us in there now since we have over doubled our size....

I had to wear my color guard uniform into publix and block buster because my mom was getting some things before she dropped me off. Our theme that year was Batman so I was wearind a leotard, mini skirt, nude tights, ballet flats, a mask, and a glittery cape. XD

Our uniforms are only three years old this year, so we aren'tallowed to A)go nekkid underneath B) Wear them anywhere that doesn't involve marching>.> Therefore, i've never worn it outside of competitions, games, etc. And because we had band shirts and shorts underneath, all we had to do was strip the uniform and we looked slightly normal, albeit almsot identicalXD We were only allowed shorts and our band shirts.
^ You made me wan to wear the cape I got on the four day hike I went on last week to the storeXD Which reminds me: A bit off topic, but on said 4 day backpacking hike with my church, we got to eat at pizza hut on our way home as a congrats for living kind of thing, and just imagine what we looked like: -23 girls, 30 counting leaders and priesthood -no showers for 4 days straight, with our only source of cleaning a stream and any hand sanitizer we might have brought -Hiking 20 miles in 4 days(about 5 between campsite and parking lot, doe twice; once there once back, about 5 miles up the mountain, 5+ back down; a lot of us missed the turn off and went too far, including me.) -The forest was our bathroom... -Sleeping near/rding 4 horses and 2 mules -and the only food to eat was what we made ourselves. We looked like dirty, orphaned mountain children who were going to some kinfd of insane asilam(it is almost midnight here. You'll have to deal with my spelling mistakesXD). Two of my tent buddies went to the bathroom and came back laughing. after forcing an explanation from them, this si what I got: "The stream was coming out of the tube! And it could be hot or cold! Then brown, flat objects came out of a silver box!" After a second more of laughing: "Then a little girl came in ad stared at us wide eyed before running out." I laughed. These people were a soon to be freshamn and junior, the junior having skipped a grade and the freshman being held from entering school because of her birthday(wasn't the right age for kindergarten, so had to wait an extra year thanks to her B-day being in september.)
