Let us remember those who have died in World Trade Center attack and honor the lives that have been sacrificed to preserve our freedom. If you would like to, tell us where you were when the attack happened and what you felt after knowing that terrorists have targeted our country.

It was in Language Arts, 2nd period of 5th grade when it happened. My homeroom teacher came in and motioned the L.A. teacher out and started to whisper about something excitely. I was confused on what happened and was kept in the dark about it til I got home and my dad took me what happened. My dad already felt the effects of war and was afraid that there might be more attacks in the near future. To me, I really couldn't believe it; how could anyone target innocent people, living out their normal, everyday lives and be happy about it? I felt anger and fear at the same time that day...Tomorrow, Sept. 11 would be the main topic among kids at school.

I can hardly believe that it has been 5 years since the attack on the WTC.

I found out in my homeroom class in the 8th grade. I saw the attack on the television they brought in. I teared up even though I didn't fully understand it at the time. To this day, every time I see the scene, I get angry.

I know this is late and everything. but I found out about it when I was in the 10th grade. We were sitting in homeroom when an announcement came on about it and we turned on the tv and watched. We didn't really do any kind of school work that day in any of my classes. I was just in disbelief about the whole thing. It was like this didn't really just happen they're joking. my mom said she woke up to it and just started crying when she saw the plane hit the second building.

6th Anniversary of September 11th. Let us remember this tragedy in a moment silence...

This song, I find fits this event, very nicely. It is a song from Gundam Seed Destiny...Enjoy.

Fields of Hope (Link works now)

Beneath a veil so cold,
You deeply sleep, all alone
The melody of prayer; on the lonely fields,
a little light shined

I watched as you dreamed
You laughed like a child
So dear, and yet so far -
That is the promise of our future

That one day, on a green morning,
One day, we will make it there
Because in this wintered sky
We still believe
Fields of Hope

On the day we were born, we were embraced
And now we search for those gentle hands again
The melody of prayer; one vanishes,
And all begins again; a powerless, painful continuation

One day, to that green morning,
We'll cross through all these nights
Because that is the place each one of us searches for

Now, within my own heart,
I want to keep you warm
So dear, and yet so far -
In the name of peace
Fields of Hope

So dear, and yet so far -
The fields of promise
Fields of Hope
Fields of Hope

i was in 8th grade. it was during PE. i was still living in california at the time.

i know seeing an open act of war like this is mind boggling and pisses a lot of people off, but we can't forget that the US is also responsible for a lot of deaths worldwide too.

So just don't go down the street kicking arabs or anything like that.

if you want to see a good film on terrorism/anti-terrorism showing the scope of both american a muslim views, i suggest watching "the Kingdom" with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner
