yes, we are short. and we like it. everything in japan is made for short people.
but foreigners, they are being so big, it is intruding.
average male: 170cm
average female: 145- 160cm
sizes have increase din japan, so you may not have a problem if you are not to tall.
you know how tall i am? 150cm (and people ay i look like yaguchi mari to! i m sort of scared now...)
i suggest you start drinking coffe and less milk to stunt your growth xd rofl lol

I've always been smaller than others in my class, so I would be all right xd seriously, I'm 16 ans people at first sight think I'm 14... It can be annoying sometimes sweatdrop

I like being tall: I can't stand looking up at people. There's this guy who's like 6 foot three in my class...ah man, it's a good thing he's so nice.
Well, I like being tall until I go into some class that's full of kids who haven't hit their growth spurt yet but are very close to my age and then I wish I was small. I feel like a single lock of long, blond hair in a mop of short, black hair.

I'm 164 cm, so a little bit above average. heart
My favorite manga character is 170 cm! Aww! (Doing the conversion, that makes him somewhere between 5'5" and 5'6", right? I'm not very good at math... @_@)
And judging by eyesight only, I'd say the Japanese exchange student at my school is probable 155 cm. While I was in Japan all the girls seemed short and I felt uncomfortably tall. But we ran into a lot of really tall Japanese guys. I have a fetish for knowing people's heights, so I'm sure I noted correctly that these guys were at least 5'9", and at least one was 6' (because he was almost eye-to-eye with my 6'1" American friend who also went on the trip). And then there was the short one who was my height and thought that Americans saying "Cheese!" before taking a picture was funny. rofl

People hieght is usally determine before where they come from. Like on one coast of africa that afircan are tall which helps them trough the tall grass while on the other side they are short becuase they don't need the height to survive. Also, the avarage height of an American has slowly increas over the past two hundred years.

so you better be thin. even if you are chubby, people will stereotype you (caucausion foreginers are stereotyped as fat)
so lose weight now!
