Anywho, I'm doing my little 'flip-through-guilds-and-subscribed-threads-looking-for-something-interesting-until-looking-at-GCD' thing that I do, and had just popped into the GCD guild (Can't remember why. o _o), then here, and was struck with an interesting thought: "What about a rant subforum in the SUTF?"
Yeah, I know, it's idea stealin', but man, I've seen a lot more ranting here then I have in the GCD guild, 'n I know we have the quest subforum, but I don't think it's really been used much, so y'know, maybe a ranting subforum would fit better? Could post anything there that you wanna rant about, and not be bugged by the main forum. o _o

But anyways, that might not work out, but it'd be nifty to find out what other lightbulb moments people've had. surprised

I know a couple of our members that'll love this idea. xd

I think it's easiest to have a big subforum and just let people run loose with it >3>; I'm in a few guilds with rant-things and the subforums where people can make their own topics or do whatever work a loooooot better than just having a thread. :3

Just a sticky. A subforum would be too much. Unless we change the quest subforum into the rant forum.

[rant] AUHGKHFDKFD I ******** HATE MY FRENCH TEACHER. >__< SHE CAN'T TEACH. AT ALL. She's like "HAY let's go over the alphabet!" And I was all "yay" But then she just tells us how to pronounce the various letters. They're not too hard, they're pretty similar to the english alphabet. BUT THEN she decides to go over the numbers. k! But she just holds up the number and is like "k, five is pronounced like sink!" (or whatever. I don;t remember; I'm s**t at retaining information)

I'm all "ARRDZJHGFJHGSD ARGGHGHHGFGFHFD HOW THE ******** DO YOU SPELL IT" But of course I didn;'t say that, nooooo. Because I'm dumb. And then she tells us how to say "my name is" or some s**t like that and then later gives us various commands in French (sit down, stand up, leave, give, etc)

My problem? Not everyone can learn by hearing things over and over. Some people need to SEE the words and such to memorize it. I am so, so bad at listening to people. I only retain about one fourth of the information I hear. x__x I need to be able to sit down and read it, and write out how it's pronounced so I can actually learn it. Hearing it helps, yes, but not everyone learns JUST by hearing.[/rant]

Well the point of it would be changing the now-pretty-unused quest subforum into a forum that would hopefully be used at least semi-regularly. XD

And that it would let people shout and yell about whatever they wanted without filling up the main page with random threads about why life sucks. :3 A venting forum basically.
And since it'd be an actual forum, not just a sticky (Blast it we have too many of those. D:<), you wouldn't have to look at other people's rants unless you wanted to, and vice versa.

A sticky might work if it was for feedback, but the point of a rant forum would be that you don't want feedback, and just want to yell about something to get it out. XD

'm thinking about that. o __o I think there's little enough threads to ask whoever made them if they mind leaving them there to die, or if they want them moved to the main forum. Hmm.
