Ah, the stress you miss when watching a rerun of Shrek 2 on HBO... sweatdrop
One wonders: Why must we (as humans) always attempt to bury the past as the wounds on its still-warm corpse continue to gush blood?
I would have been wondering "WTF?!" tomorrow had I not decided to log back on for 5 minutes before bed.

It is human nature... it cannot be helped but try to flee from what has caused us harm in any way. I suppose all humans must try it at one point or another, thinking it's best to turn the page than to continue to read the now illegible words drowned in tears.
I wish I had gone to watch the rerun instead of having been here

I would much rather have been here. I'd have liked to try helping no matter how ineffectual my attempt.
I personally don't like to bury treasures. Any conflict can be analyzed and used to improve conditions for the survivors. That is the purpose of having history.

One problem that I've had with every 'large' poll guild I've ever been in is the burying of its conflict. That, in fact, is what led to our group's creation. We didn't leave because we were pissed at DG and ML for banning people... They just wouldn't give us reasons. They buried their conflict, which festered and grew into a splinter cell.
Any time something is shadowy, there's a problem.

Any time something is shadowy, there's a problem. I agree completely. While intentions may have been well meaning, efforts to bury the threads should not have been taken.

That is one way of looking at things, a great way I must say. It is always good to learn from things, something needed in order to progress, but you must be careful... dweling on things past might cause the survivors to despair again.

Unfortunately, people with questions need somewhere to go, to find the answers they need to figure out why on earth things are happening like they are.

But having an index or chronicle or something of our strifes and how we changed after would be a good thing... People could always find out what they wanted to know, and we wouldn't leave a situation without improving in some way, as intelligent societies are meant to.

Ya know what? I feel like doing something. 3nodding
If all Gaia's problems and s**t haven't deleted our entire guilds' history yet, I think I'll make a thread for it all, starting with this. I'm no mod. Do I care? No. I'm out to satisfy my own agenda.
It'll be our guild's unofficial history thread (read if you dare). I'll return in a couple days when I'm finished... or maybe I'll randomly pop in and out while I work; no clue. xp
If someone wants to stop me, have them read this and then talk to me.
