I started reading it, but I kept having to wait for the next book, and then the next book... I think you understand my frustration since you are looking for your own book. So I'm waiting until Robert Jordan drops dead (or finishes the series, whichever is first!), and then I'll start reading his books back to back with no waiting.
Umm oh, sorry. I can't help you with Knife of Dreams.

I love the series. I have read all the ones out so far. Knife of dreams was a little too preachy for me, and so was the previous one, but all in all it's a great series. I have to agree with the_weird_1, though. I hate waiting for new ones. xd

I love the wheel of time! Myself, I'm partial to Egwene, and Nynaeve (poor Lan crying ). It is, after all, my second favorite series, the first being Robin Hobb's Tri-Trilogy (anyone know what I'm talking about?)
Anyway, I'm new here, so I hope to meet Jordan-Hobb lovers just like--insert name here....

Lol. I used to like Perrin alot, then after Faile was kidnapped... NOOOO!!! All he did was whine and whine! Needless too say, it bugged me. And anyone realize how in the middle, every chapter was ending with "Tarmon Gaidon is coming" Or something similar?

The Wheel of Time is so awesome, though I haven't read all of them I'm nearly there! Lol. Robert Jordan is a briliant author. I quite like the 6th book. Love the series so much! mrgreen

At the moment, I'm near the end of Crown of Swords. I love these books, and am reading them as fast as I can while being able to remember what I read.

I will probably get lambasted for saying so, but I honestly didn't care too much for the Wheel of Time. I read the first six books or so (many years back), and never quite got a taste for the world. I'm not sure if it's Jordan's writing, the universe itself, or the characters, but I never really felt pulled in to the books.
Don't get me wrong, they weren't horrible by any means - in fact I sort of enjoyed some of them - but overall I was not terribly impressed by the series. I didn't bother to read any after the sixth book, but I felt the story was beginning to drag at that point and similar scenarios started to see a good deal of re-use. Too long and drawn-out for my tastes.
I do really respect Jordan for having such a story to tell and actually getting it out there, though - that's a great accomplishment.
