The hallway you have been lead into is quite plain and lacks adornments of any kind, but windows near the ceiling bring in a natural light. Like the Waiting Room, the ceiling itself is also a window, and allows you to see straight up into the canopy of the forest the temples are set in.
The hallway extends in two directions, on way leads to the Sith temple, and the other to the Jedi.
"Welcome to the Main Hall," the tall Toruga woman says as you enter the room. "This is the hallway between the Sith and the Jedi temples. The first thing we will do here is answer any questions you might have about each temple and what will happen to you.
"Then, once your curiosity is satisfied, we will ask you to choose a Temple." The regal woman bowed her head ever so slightly. "It is not an easy decision, and I beg you not to take it lightly. The answer you give us will effect your entire being."
The stumpy man humphed once before stepping forward and replacing his coworker. "Of course, we can't let all of you little monsters choose the same Temple. It wouldn't be right at all - totally unbalanced, and as you will learn, balance is what we are all about. We'll let you choose for yourselves who is to be in what Temple, but if a compromise can not be made, we will step in and fix the problem.
"But back to the first order of business," he says to you, "Questions. You've got them, and we've got the answers. Don't hold anything back, and ask away."

Ayanna wasn't quite sure what to say. She was going to be a Sith. That was all there was to it. She had promised. But she had to ask questions, pretend like she was thinking it over, that was what they wanted from her. What was a good question?
"I have a question." She said after a moments pondering. "If everything is about balance, then why are there two temples to start with? Whats the difference? If it was really about balance wouldn't you just have one?"
After all, if you had the two temples, one always had to be stronger than the other, people weren't going to be exactly evenly matched. It didn't make sense. One thing could always be in balance with itself, and if you were really dedicated to balance then you'd be watching to correct it whenever it started to lean in any particular direction.
"And also, to balance balance, don't you need chaos?" Ayanna for one, had never been to big on planning things out step by step. You saw, you acted, things usually worked out.

The tall woman smiled at the young girl. "Because, child, without two temples, there would be no balance. If there were only one temple, then there would be nothing to counterbalance that idea and it would run supreme. With the two temple system we have two very different ways of study leaning against each other and learning from each other."
"What Sva'La is trying to say is that the Sith and the Jedi are different. Will always be different. If we tried to force the two ideals into one temple there wouldn't be balance, just a lot of angry people. And that makes for a messy situation. With two temples we keep both ideals separate but equal. Neither needs to be better - they are different, and used in different situations. Without one, the other would fail. To put it simply - the Jedi and Sith are needed to balance each other out." He snorted. "As for chaos, I'd say you children can handle that part just fine."

Alright, so she understood why there were two temples now, but what they were saying still wasn't right. They way they talked about it you'd think the two temples had already been made one! Just because they were in seperate buildings, did not make them different if all they did was trade the same ideas back and forth.
And what was this about the Jedi being better than the Sith from some things and vice versa? Well who decided? And what if the Jedi decided they were better suited for a mission the Sith thought they were better suited for? Because these two were friends they'd just talk it out? Well what about when they were dead? What then? It seemed alot like a system gaurenteed to breed conflicts further down the line in Ayanna's opinion. But how could one phrase such thoughts as a question without angering the Masters. After all, she hadn't technically been accepted into either temple yet.
"Well.. If they aren't actually better than each other, and are just better suited for some situations, then who decides what situations they are? And if you've two classes learning Shryiiwook and one class learns it by reading and writing it all the time and the other learns it subliminally by listening to tapes as they sleep, at the end you're still left with a bunch of people who all speak Shyriiwook." Perhaps that wasn't the most straightforward way of saying what she wanted, but the point was she wanted to know if what you learned would be different, or only how you learned it. Because if it was only how, well that was hardly different at all.

"The Jedi, who I instruct, are trained to be skilled negotiators. That means when a situations arises, and both parties of the situation want to figure out a way to fix the problem we come in and help them." She looked carefully at the girl in front of her. "Neither the Jedi nor the Sith can do without each other, child, remember that. Without the Jedi, the Sith would only be assassins, and with out the Sith, the Jedi would be meaningless talk. "
The man looked up at the ceiling and stared at the wildlife going on above. "Not everything is as simple as it appears. When talking doesn't work, or was never an option in the first place, we Sith come in. We take care of the problem in the simplest way possible, which often includes bloodshed. The Jedi and the Sith work together to fix problems, and it is together that we decide the best way to solve them. We also listen to the wishes of those involved. Often, peace is wanted, and we respect that. Just as often, peace is not the desired answer, and we respect that as well, and respond to it as such. "

Ah. So they were fundamentally different. She still didn't think such a system would work under future Masters, but that didn't really matter at the moment, there would probably be no serious strife between the temples while she was training her so it was unimportant. Which led her to wonder about these two. They seemed very comfortable around each other, but also very different. Did questions include questions about them? Or only about the Force? Well, there was only one way to find out wasn't there.
"If you don't mind me asking. How did you two meet each other? Why did you decide to set up the temples together?" She cocked her head curiously, her previous pseudo-aggression no longer visible.

Sva'La smiled. "We met under very mundane circumstances. You see, not too long ago, Force users didn't have temples to go to, and those who openly used their power were often looked down upon as charlatans and cheaters. We met while in the market of a nearby planet. Both of us picked up on the others Force signature, and we started meeting regularly from then on."
"What Sva'La is leaving out is that the temples were actually her idea. A change, we decided, was necessary, and the brilliant plan of the revival of the temples was started. And so here you are. Not the romantic birth of an idea you had hoped for, I'm sure, but it works, and that is what matters. "

Ayanna grinned slightly at this, sometimes for a little girl, she was pretty sharp "I bet in a hundred years there will be lots of more 'romantic' versions floating around. I like this one just fine. It's straight-forward and the truth, and thats good."
Well, good from other people anyway. Other people could tell the truth all they liked, and Ayanna? Well, she'd tell the truth most of the time, if it got done what she wanted done, if it kept people friendly and made them like her. Otherwise she wasn't averse to.. embellishing a little bit. She tried to avoid outright lies, just because those were almost always found out and came back to haunt you, but twisting the truth just a little often got things done.
She felt fairly happy with the conclusions she had reached, she had just to wait for the other children to be satified so she could move on to properly being a Sith.

Aiden listened silently to the questions the young human girl asked the two masters. Although she knew the importance of gathering new information, she felt that she had already made her decision. She had heard stories of the Jedi and the Sith throughout her entire childhood. Her lifestyle had allowed her to come across a variety of characters-- each with their own unique stories to tell about these warriors and the mystical force they control. Her violet eyes scanned the room anxiously as she brought her mind into the present. She unconsciously curled her jet black hair around finger as she took in her surroundings. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. A comforting energy seemed to surround her and flow through her. She had just recently learned that this energy was indeed the same entity as "the force" used by the warriors of the tales she had heard. Although this realization prompted her application and acceptance to the temple, she was still uneasy about whether or not she had what it took to become a Jedi or a Sith.

The two masters smiled down upon the two girls (Though only Sva'La's smile could really be classified as one) before the woman spoke up. "I feel that you two have already come to your decisions."
"Normally we'd have you wait for the others, but I don't see any harm in letting you decide now." He crossed his arms about his chest. "Well, what will it be? Sith or Jedi?

Ayanna crossed her own arms in an unconscious mirroring of the Sith Master. With both her feet firmly planted on the ground she took a deep breath and answered levely "I'm going to be a Sith."
There. Six little words that were going to change her life forever. She wished her brother could see her right at that moment he would be proud of her. For choosing the Sith and for doing it without her voice trembling.

Char-Langui grinned. The kid had spunk. "Great. You'll be studying under me, then, so don't try any of your chaos business. My name is Char-Langui, and I am the Sith Master. I run a tight ship, so don't try anything stupid.
"Feel free to talk or ask more questions while we wait for the other little monsters to show up. But don't forget; I'm watching.

Ayanna grinned and her posture relaxed a fair amount. That had been easy, and Char-Langui seemed like he would be a good teacher. Not that she had all tht much information to go on, but he seemed like for all that he was firm he had a bit of a sense of humour and she figured he would be fair. Mind you she'd still have to work out what his standards of 'fair' were later, but for now, she was good.
She waited curiously to hear the other girls answer. Because she wondered what she would choose, and because once she had she wanted to find out the girls name. She also wondered vaguely when Edan and the others would come following. She herself had leapt up the instant the doors where open. Granted maybe she was supposed to have taken a moment to quiet her mind and be sure of her decision, but, well since she had been sure already, it had been unecessary.
It was funny really. Ayanna had no doubt she would be admitted to the Sith temple, she had no doubt she would become a good Sith, that she would learn to use the force properly, the sum total of her doubts had been whether or not she would have as much education to start with, and she was starting to think that wouldn't matter so much, that what they woul learn here would be almost entirely outside of what you would learn anywhere else anyway. It wasn't so much that she was cocky, and more that she had just always accepted that things worked out in the end, so there was no point fussing over them as if they wouldn't.
"No chaos or stupidity from me, at least as little as I can. Um, what am I supposed to call you Sir? Is it Sir? Or Master? Or Master Char-Langui? Or Master Langui? Just because I know names can be different depending on where you're from." She added as an afterthought. Knowing how to address the man who would be teaching her was probably wise.

Char humphed, but half of his mouth curved up into a grin. "You may call me Sir. I'm glad you asked. I'm not sure many other of you monsters would have. Do you have any other questions, kid?"

"No Sir, that was about it." Replied Ayanna with a grin. Yep. She liked him. Heh, she was a 'monster'.
She knew of course that they woul probably cover theoretical stuff, the absolute basics first before they got into the more interestign things, but she still couldn't wait to begin. If she had been in a vid she would have answered "Yeah, when do we start?", but this was real life. She knew she had to be patient and she knew when they would start, when everyone had picked a temple and settled in some.
