I keep hoping this is all a cruel, elaborate joke, but the more and more people I hear it from, the more real it becomes to me. I've been told that Amber Farrell was involved in a car accident today, and that she died as a result of it. I keep praying it's a joke, but reality seems to be against me, so I thought I'd let you guys know.

When you're young, you tend to think that everyone is safe and no one ever dies. And that's
your life. Nothing could touch you because no harm should ever come to a person. But as
you grow older, things change, people grow up, and you start to see people leave.
I still live in a world where no one dies. So when I heard about Amber's death, I didn't believe
it at all. I thought it was some sick joke, or at worst a mistake, but it started to sink in, little
by little and my heart began to ache. All I could think about was how different life was going
to be without her. I just couldn't imagine school without her. Without her clasic smile and her
constant joking. She was such a ray of sunshine, and no matter how hard I try to believe, I
just can't think of her as gone. She loved everyone, and the people she touched will never
forget her.
It's hard to cope with the loss of a friend, but I know she wouldn't want us to cry. She would
wipe away the tears and have something funny to say to make us all laugh. She wouldn't want
us to be upset, and if she could, I'm positive that she would give us all a hug. It's just how she
was. But she's in a better place now. Far away from us but still so close. Well always keep her
close in our hearts and never forget the memory of a friend we held so dear. So to you Amber, I
say farewell, and that we all love you very much and look foreward to seeing you again someday.
