Rumoured in the Daily Star - series 3 will reveal the Doctor's son.
So, is anyone suprised by this?
I'm not, he's a grandfather at least, we've knew that since 1963!!

This will back up Seffy's comments. This came from a similar thread on Sci-Fi and was posted this evening.
Tom Spilsbury, one one of the editors of Doctor Who Magazine, posted this earlier today on Outpost Gallifrey. This shows the evolution of this non-story.
Quote: Originally Posted by Tom Spilsbury This is all very funny.
Apparently Peter Davison suggested this idea to a reporter from the Sunday Express as a possible idea for the series to continue when the Doctor runs out of lives, (based on a line from Fear Her that had intrigued Davison about the Doctor being "a father once"). The reporter, obviously tickled by this notion, decided he'd include this theory in his article about Doctor Who spinoffs (printed last Sunday, 6 August), as to what could happen when the Doctor finally reached his final incarnation.
I know this is what happened, because the very same Sunday Express reporter also phoned me the previous Friday (4 August), and told me about Davison's comments, and wouldn't this be a wonderful idea? Obviously, being a polite sort of fellow, I agreed, and tactfully added, "Yes, that certainly sounds a very interesting notion." (I also helpfully pointed out that it's not particularly news that the Doctor is a father, since when the programme first began he was travelling with his granddaughter. I think this extra piece of information managed to intrigue our reporter even further!)
Somewhere between then and now this has seemingly mutated into a 'genuine' spoiler for the end of the next series, despite the fact that it clearly stems from the over-active imaginations of Peter Davison and a newspaper journalist. What larks!

Off the top of my head - Lungbarrow, a 7th Doctor novel - free to view on the BBC site. I ain't been on OG for a while so I wouldn't know what's going on over there *goes to have a look*. Still, the Daily Star was accurate with the Series 2 and 1 finales... and no-one belived them.

I doubt that they're going to do one with his son... or any other family. I can kind of see an episode about Susan. But not about any more of his family. At least for now.

It would be interesting to see what happened to Susan considering the Dalek Invasion has now been erased from history.

Maybe someone will claim to be his son but not really be. Or he could be adopted like some people say that Susan is.
