I'm amazed that I have yet to see anybody complaining about this fact about the movie.

Now regardless of most things I consider the movie a lovely feature and a good pick me up when I have it in Audio commentary. If you haven't heart the commentary you MUST!!

Anyway I find myself upset because of the end when Count Olaf gets captures. It's the only thing that for me keeps it from being a good end. After all the scene of the house was just painful. To see the mansion whole to just have it fall apart was very... touching for me. Also the narrative as they drive away was sad but sweet. But they captured olaf! That's just not right! scream

He does gets free, but he was captured for some time. He NEVER gets captured. In fact the more foward you go the more he gets away with. That's why I love the books. The line between good and evil is so grey.

Also you must spear 3 bucks for that commentary. It's just precious to me. I quote Mr Snicket lines from that.

LS: You accidently pointed the camera in the direction of actors reciting dialouge about terrible things?! I found that very hard to believe, coming from the likes of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, as interplanetary as they are...

LS: A happy accident is when a jar of caviar falls into your lap, this is more like when an angry sturgeon is placed in your bed by someone who wants to kill you via fishbite.
