Shadowed Shanty Town When the shades had to build a settlement they faced two problems: Lack of materials and the fact they had never needed housing before. The shanty town shows this, the buildings range from simple tents to restored ruins. The accommodations for a Shade are quite spartan: A sheet on the ground and a crate at most. What can be said is the shades are organised. The layout of the modest buildings has efficiency in mind and looks nothing like the vagrant groups that lay down anywhere they please. Shade 'housing' is only broken occasionally by storehouses for supplies and weapons. Omikron, more accustomed to the human world, has provided accommodations for the adventures assisting the shades. The larger buildings have actual beds, and trunks to store equipment. An infimarary is also at the centre of the camp, allowing human injuries to be nursed.

"FOOD'S HERE." Sey yelled, her chime like voice echoing throughout the entire camp.
"Here, let's try and get this set up. I don't think I'm the only one that's starving..." Sey said as she set down the cargo and used one of the spheres to create a firepit in the middle of the camp. Fusing 5 of the spheres together and creating a holy flame, Sey used some of the Tent poles to create a grill over the pit and she started to heat up some of the salted meat that was packed.
"Thank you so much Lieq, Soltis. I don't want you guys staying around though... It might be too dangerous." Standing up and hugging her two students tightly, Sey hoped that it wouldn't be the last time that she saw them as they walked through the net again and went back to the Temple.
While the meat was cooking, she decided to set up one of the Temple's tents and convert it into her own medic station, packing all the other supplies inside and around it.

Damnable white mages...
Daniel put away his pistol, having seen them come, and leave, without any major incident. Still, it was hard to get pass all the horror stories he had heard. Owle, and Flare's experiences with the fanatical, death dealing zealots.
The smell of cooking meat however, lured him out towards the holy fire. A frown, and a dead pan face as he stared at the holy cooking fire...
"Is that... even safe?"

Stryphe stood outside Omikron's headquarters, motioning those who'd just received the objectives over to him.

"Perfectly safe." Sey said as she stuffed a tent pole into the ground, using some spheres to give her more 'oomph'.
"It'll be done in a few minutes. There's some water in the coolers over there and some Mead. This is a gift from the Temple of Falis." Walking over to another pole and shoving it into the ground, Sey grabbed more Spheres to help her construct her Medical Tent and watched them as they carefully slid the magic imbued fabric over the poles.
The tent was a dark blue, emblazoned with the silver symbol of Falis' Dragon Avatar. The same symbol that was on Seyumi's medallion.
"I think they packed some vegitables too, but I haven't started cutting them yet. Give me a second and I'll be done here."

The activity in the whole town went from manic to full scale frenzy as shades moved at double time fortifying walls, and the outter perimeter.
Sunstrike, had woken up from his self imposed delierium, but obviously still wasn't himself. He was silent as he looked at the food and the antics of the others before quietly turning away, inspecting some of the new bracers for the buildings.
They would have to agree on something soon, he'd noticed some of the other shades had already left, not to mention smoke was cropping up in a lot of patches out on the forest and other locations.

Flare stepped out of Omikron's headquarters, where she may well have been this entire time. Her hunting had proved fruitless; it seemed the shades had scared off most of the game nearby.
As she passed Sun, she took his hand, dragging him over to the others without a single glance back. While everyone was gathered, she needed him, too, to hear what she was about to say.
"The fuel depot seems like an easy target for those of us who like throwing fire around," she said. "I say we blow it up."

The smell of cooking meat called to him, as Rivan drifted, almost floating, from the steps of HQ to where the smell was coming from. He didn't know if the Shades ate, he'd have to ask Omikron, but he didn't really care. He hadn't eaten meat in about a week. He could see the white, wafting smoke from a fire and drifted toward it. He hoped it they'd share, all he had left was some stale trail mix.
He arrived to find a truck unloading food in crates and packing boxes. He looked around to find the already unloaded food. The blissful scent caught his attention. He turned to see a woman giving mild orders to people. Telling them to bring supplies to a tent while directing them with a leg of chicken, which she occasionally took a bite of.
"Hey...um...Hey!" He shouted to the woman, "Hi, I'm Rivan. I'm a new recruit...I guess. Could I get a little food?"

"Yo."
Hakan strolled into the shanty town casually, working his way towards the gathring of the rest of the people brought in. Especially towards the one smoking. He looked fairly cool, and relaxed at least, which would be good.
"So, anyone have any idea what were doing?"

Eating off the backs of the temple. Fate sure had a funny way about it.
Ignoring the chaos, he instead focused at poking around the supplies that were brought, grabbing some of the perfectly edible while raw foodstuffs. Anything he could munch while walking about.
The enemy wasn't at the gates yet. He didn't hear any sounds of battle, after all. No need to panic, he thought, munching absently on some veggies, while watching the shades scramble.

Looking up and seeing Stryphe motion towards several others, Sey frowned and gathered all the other medicines, spare cots, folding tables and supplies and put them inside her Tent while she left the poles and tarps for the other tents outside next to her tent.
"Sir Daniel..." Sey said as she walked towards the fire and began to turn the meat.
"I barely know you, and I don't know if either of us will survive this but... I do wish from the deepest part of my heart that you'll stay safe. You're a very nice man, and in this day and age it's hard to find men like you, even in the Clergy. I.. I wish you the best of luck Sir Daniel."

"Uh...Yeah," Rivan said while he ate some chicken, "Basically, there is a Fuel Depot that supplies the Miners with all their energy. If we destroy or capture it, it would either force the Miners to negotiate with us or import energy. If they do the latter, the Settlers will attack the vans and do our work for us."

"I've got no problem with that." He'd been surprised she'd yanked him along, regardless Sun joined in and accepted the idea cautiously. A lot of things blowing up lead to a lot of people suddenly noticing the bigger threat to their borders.
"The humans might end up shifting focus if we get too slap happy though..."

Answering Hak and agreeing with Flare both at the same time, he said, "Skinner's fuel supply. Omi's orders. Those hungry can eat and gather up some strength for the fight to come- the rest of us should get to bothering those miners. I feel they'll prove more dangerous than the villagers."
And with that, he shouldered his halberd and headed for the Outer Rim, knowing the general direction of the logging camp from when he flew in.

Daniel shook his head, "Don't say things like that. It's a jinx," he told Sey, finishing up munching on a bell pepper, tossing the stem into the holy fire absently. He gave Sey a smile, and reached out to clasp her shoulder, "I'll see you later."
Well, he wasn't leaving about yet. He needed some meat in his belly if he was going to go out a marching on the enemy, after all.
