Welcome to the journal and role-play logs of the Kitsus belonging to Waarufu. Please do not post here without permission, but feel free to PM me if you're ever interested in roleplaying - we'd love to meet some new kitsus any time! Although I tend to lose RPs really easily in threads, we could take our RP through there, PMs, the guild - or we could work something else out.

Anyways, without further ado, please don't step on the flowers!

Name: Soubi
Gender: Male
Edition: Butterfly (Edited Angelic Lineart)
Event: Butterfly Freebie Raffle
Species: Black Swallowtail
Coloration: Black and White

Personality: Soubi can be rather obnoxious in his own passive-aggressive way. He doesn't like to be disturbed, and has a short amount of patience for others around him. If he's in a good mood (or guilt tripped), he tends to try and be a bit fo a gentleman. So much to the point of even bordering on a smooth-talker. Once he decides on something, he can be a bit of a bull about changing his mind. He also doesn't seem to enjoy talking about himself, especially in relation to his own emotions and his past. He definitely prefers to keep those things locked up pretty tightly. Once he's stirred to aggression, he can be downright nasty. He also has an odd possessive streak that could easily get him into trouble.

Love Interest: There's no doubt it would take a lot of patience and constant attention to crack through Soubi's harsh exterior, but there's also the promise that if someone manages to do that then they'll have someone who's fiercely loyal to them for the rest of eternity. For those that aren't committed, he's certainly more inclined for little more effort than a fling. His interest, however, isn't limited to just the opposite gender.

History: Soubi doesn't remember how exactly he got to where he is or really even where he came from. He doesn't seem to be too thrilled about existence in general, but does pay careful attention to his own wings for fear of damaging them. At times, he does seem to hate them and perhaps that's tied into his past...

Name: Soot
Gender: Male
Edition: Perma-baby Cosplay
Event: Miyazaki Cosplay
Type: Red Star Sprinkle
Base: Soot Spirits from Miyazaki's Spirited Away
Coloration: Black

Personality: Little Soot is energetic and at times obnoxious for poor Soubi. He really loves shuffling around in the flowers, typically oblivious to the ash and dust trail he leaves behind. He really loves to meet new people and play, all the time. Honestly, it gets too much for Soubi most of the time.

History: Soot just appeared one day, and wouldn't leave. And, well, Soubi just couldn't let him sit out in the rain and melt away.

Name: K'Yoh
Gender: Female
Event: Bobtail Introduction
Coloration: Dark purple with light purple and black markings

Personality: Shy and reserved, K'Yoh seems to be easily frightened by change. She stays close to Soubi or Soot at all times, especially fearful of the night and being alone during those times. At points, Soubi has certainly deemed her as being clingy and needy. Under all of that, there's perhaps the possibility of being a stronger kitsu as far emotions are concerned.

Love Interest: From her traumatic experience, K'Yoh perhaps needs more healing than flirting. She does tend to cling to those she knows, which could easily be mistaken for interest when there isn't one - or is there? It's a little hard to tell with this emotionally unstable female.

History: K'Yoh lost her friend to the Shadow, and ended up joining the group shortly thereafter to try and find her. Unfortunately, in all the commotion, K'Yoh became frightened and left the cave. She was never able to find her friend again. Showing an odd amount of compassion, Soubi found her after all the trouble and invited her to come and stay in 'his' meadow with him and Soot.

Soubi gains a Soot

It was another day where the sky overhead looked as if it wanted to simply burst apart at the seams and pour down tears across the whole mountainside - just the type of day to put Soubi in a bad mood. It was mid-morning, and he was becoming more and more convinced that he needed to seek shelter away from the meadow before things got nasty. The flowers themselves even seemed to be drooping today.

Flickering his wings with irritation, he began a slow path away from the meadow that he called home and towards the woods. Hopefully, if he moved towards the mountainside, there would be some sort of better cover to be found. He had almost reached the edge of the flowers, where the trees were starting to reach out towards the meadow, when he spied something that was out of place.

There was a strange, black trail of dust across a number of the flowers and the ground around them. Puzzled, the kitsu took the time to stop and think about this occurence. What was it that could have done this to his meadow, scarred the landscape like it was some sort of canvas for the next ill-fated painter?

He was answered soon enough when a small black kit came bounding over to him, nearly knocking him flat on his rear in its excitement. The little creature had a cloud of dust surrounding him, and a small, red star gripping in its mouth.

"What's wrong with you, running around and into poeple like that! Not to mention you're in bad need of a bath," Soubi scrunched his nose at all the mess that had gotten on his fur - it had to be this little kit that had made the funny path through the flowers. The small thing merely looked up at him and chirped before rubbing itself against his forepaws.

He was very tempted to smack it away. Very, very tempted. Smack it away and run. But, on some level, he really couldn't bring himself to do this. It looked like the little... creature... was lost. Or something like that. "Look, are you lost or something? I certainly haven't seen your parents or anything like that."

The dustball looked up and chirped at him again. Soubi blinked and stared. What the heck was he supposed to do with this thing?

"Look, it's going to rain. Now, you need a bath, but I certainly don't." He tried to continue walking away, but soon realized that the soot-thing was following beside him merrily. Soubi sighed again. Did it just not understand? Apparently so.

And, just his luck, the sky decided to open up right then and there. With his ears pinned against his head and hair, and wings clamped closed behidn him, Soubi moved into a trot towards the treeline. The little soot-thing gave an awkward chirp, running to keep up with him. Realizing, on some level, that the poor thing was afraid of the rain, he slowed his pace and let it run up underneath of him. Acting more irritated than he really was, Soubi moved into the cover of the trees. Thoroughly soaked, and with the Soot completely dry, the male moved towards the mountain carefully in search of a cave to weather out the rain.

It looked like the soot-thing wasn't going anywhere.

Soubi's Journal: Entry One

What was it with everyone and butterflies recently? There wasn't anything special about them with their paper-thin wings and too-delicate bodies. They were just as annoying as any other insect, only they sometimes had painted wings that weren't too horrible. At other times, the colors were plastered against each other haphazardly and the contrast wasn't even pleasing. Sometimes they can look like a child's painting or a drunk's half-hallucinations.

I hate their delicate nature, the stereotypical colors and patterns, even the way in which they flew was infuriating. Those stupid wings weren't strong enough to actually fly - it was more of a fluttering motion with the aid of the wind. The same wind that tear those wings to shreds in moments too.

I don't see why everyone's obsessed with watching them, being like them. I hate it - and them. For staring, for pointing, for that longing that they get in their eyes. If they want them so badly, these wings, then they can have them.
