House on the Mountain Top Tucked away in the mountains lies a rather easter looking house. It's clearly a temple of some sort, but its hard to tell what kind due to deterioration. The statues has crumbled and the boards have long passed from creaky to beginning to rot. Still, the building looks rather majestic. Inside you're greeted with a pillared room, with an altar situated at the end. Quite a large room, and could fit an equally large worshipping group. Two doors are on opposite sides of the room, well, door frames at least. One leads to a room for study, tables are laid out and book shelves line the walls. The other leads to the Spartan bunkroom of the monks. There is also a downstairs area accessed through the bunk area. A basement the size of the top floor lined with crates, barrels and chests.

Nothing... nothing at all. No one here. No one within sight. No sign of anyone having been here in years. No scuff marks from shoes. No distrubed earth. Hell, this place could have been abandoned for decades, centuries...
Daniel lowered his pistol, and gestured for the Shades to fan out wide. "Check for traps," he told them, while he made his way to the door.
"This place looks like it might make a good fall back point. A last stand. And, if you can get some of your mages lobbing fire from here... well, that's one commanding view... with the right arc... hell, we might be able to hit the village from here..."
Daniel spared a look back down the trail. Only room for one at a time. Defensive commander's wet dream.
"Con... get some shades up here. Maybe a worker to repair the place, some bishops, and whatever they can spare. This place will be a rock."
Con nodded, falling silent, his eye going distant as he did that silent communication thing with the head shades.
Daniel moved carefully, keeping his eye out for any old traps. Temple it might be, but to what? Evil temples were known for that sorta thing.

Daniel moved slowly, "Keep watch outside. Give me a hollar if anyone is inbound," he ordered the shades.
Step, step, his eyes were constantly scanning the floor, the ceiling, the altar. This looked like a temple. A pretty maginificent temple, back in the day. Probably not a good temple, due to the unwelcoming location. Probably crazy isolationists. People that worshipped pure enlightenment without reason...
Or it could have been an evil temple. But the spartan, plain interior didnt' seem much like evil.
Of course, it could have been looted long ago...
Either way, he was careful, as he poked into the study, checking the tables, the shelves, seeing if there were any books that survived.

His examination of the study complete, Daniel headed back into the main hall. Anything he could pawn off? Collectors, museums, historians, they love it when places like thsi are discovered, after all.
One more door, and Daniel headed to it, checking out the Bunk area for anything of use or value. A nice, through, complete sweep.

Following up with the basement. Daniel smiled, looking around the old crates and barrels. Anything in them probably rotted away long ago. Still, something that those interested in the past, or religions might be willing to pay for. He most definately needed to remember to come back later for this.
Anything small, and of value or use he could find, was pocketed quickly as he headed back up to the hall, and out the door.
"No sign..." Con said, and Daniel frowned. They were probably all busy with the whole demolision thing with the dam. Not enough sense just to let the villagers do it, and captialize on the aftermath.
Well, the word was passed, they knew the location, this would be a servicable place, should they need it.
"This place is safe. Come on. We're moving out. There is much to do still."
With that, he lead the way back to the narrow pathway, and down the mountainside.
